  1. Brilliant! Put me down for a glazed lemon pound cake...Leslie’s buying accompanying coffee, yes?
  2. This--any word on why Murphy after arguably a great performance in corralling Lamar last week was sitting again?
  3. As much as last night hurt, I can't even begin to fathom how awful it would be to lose a SB to Tom Brady---just the risk of that alone I'll take as a silver lining that we don't have to worry about it .
  4. Maybe. But how quickly we forget that the D played lights out against the Ravens last week, and generally improved from the Bye on--I'm just not sure if it's so much schematic at this point against KC vs. personnel/matchups?
  5. Thank you Shaw for both the sober analysis as well as hopeful tone for what tomorrow can still bring us. I also like that you highlighted the melees at the end, the injury-plagued play of Beasley, and what it all meant for the team and its overall character. I admit I was channeling some of my own frustrations through them, and if possible love Dawkins even more now.
  6. Similar to the Fosterectomy already performed?
  7. Then honestly I don't know why he wasn't matched up against Hill basically all night--follow the Hoodie's mantra of take at least the one thing away from your opponent that they do best, and hope that the rest isn't enough anymore to beat you. Of course, with the # of weapons the Chiefs have, that's a tall order regardless, I do get that. But he never should've been allowed to set a new personal playoff record best in yards, period.
  8. Didn't they just win a shootout the same night we took our lumps in football?
  9. I don't disagree. It also helped that our pass rush was a non-existent factor in the interior of the line. His pocket was a perfectly formed stable oval more often than not, drive after drive.
  10. Dude, so that means you would've never let Andy Reid stick around in time for him to collect his first ring, Belly after his first season with the Patsies, or Jimmy Johnson after a 1 or 2 win season in '89...I could go on. A solid house needs a firm foundation. Those aren't always poured to the speed of our liking as "fan"atics. If you can't see that we aren't "losers," but rather on the road to building special things, then I don't know what else to say.
  11. Exactly--never saw him really airing it out, since his guys' YAC was otherworldly.
  12. I just hope we don't become the also-ran AFC competition for the Chiefs in the prime of Josh's career the same way that Marino's Dolphins and Elway's Broncos could never overcome Buffalo in the playoffs so long as our core 90's group was together...we're set at QB, but obviously need to plug more holes in the roster before we can get over the Chiefs in their current iteration.
  13. Thurman pretty much had better hands than most WR's, quite frankly--dude was often an extension of the Bills passing attack back in the day.
  14. I agree with most of your points--the only quibble I have is that from where I was watching, it looked to me like Hill was covered more often than not, but his blazing speed allowed him to simply turn upfield after a juke move or 2, and be gone with dagger-like YAC, leaving the coverage scrambling in his wake. I thought we were fast on D and that the addition of Milano would also help against Kelce, but who boy was I wrong--we've got nothing on the speed that KC brought to the table last night, especially when we never seemed to jam anybody off their releases at the line so they had a full head of steam from the word "hut"--McD in his presser also mentioning their speed is not a throw-away comment from him, as other posters have already highlighted.
  15. With Davis being the only one on the official injury report designation though? https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2928013-afc-championship-game-2021-injury-report-predictions-for-bills-vs-chiefs
  16. I’m not ok with losing either. What I am ok with is seeing that year over year we are making significant and necessary foundational strides to get there, including signature wins, AFCE championship, franchise QB, et al. Winning a SB is a process, even Hoodie would agree with that.
  17. I don’t know what I’m going to do as far as rooting interest goes, heck there might be professional bowling on or something else less painful to watch than this upcoming conundrum...
  18. No doubt our road would’ve been easier to hoe if we were an NFC team this year...playing a 14-2 squad even more rarified than us doesn’t happen all that often 🤔
  19. From management on down, this team under this regime has shown that adversity makes it come back that much stronger the next go round—think of the arduous 2018 campaign then however in a 2019 playoff appearance, which resulted in vaulting ahead to the 2020 AFCCG; why not more next year? Folks, this season marked being literally only 2 seasons removed from shedding Whaley’s cap hell and the end of the Peterman era...in the words of an old school Virginia Slims commercial...you’ve come a long way baby!
  20. This one hurts...a lot. A lot more than I thought it would when it became clear we weren’t going to pull it out—but tomorrow it will start to hurt a little less, and as time goes on I’ll be able to better appreciate the things that did go right for us this season, all the way to a championship game almost no one had us in. Just imagine where we will go when we discover a complementary running game and some D improvements...the sky will be the limit...KC, you’ve been warned, enjoy while you can, we won’t soon forget what it will take to get our revenge. I love this team.
  21. Pre-covid NE reindeer games...to be continued...
  22. Post of the year candidate right here!
  23. So he can work out the finer points of unexpectedly expectedly dropping same into pass coverage?
  24. Hot air will not stay down!
