  1. So you want us to become Cheatriots right?
  2. Slighlty OT right now but if I count correctly once everything is said and done, i.e. we sign complete PS, move Stevenson or someone else to IR and sign a punter, we will end up with roughly $1,5M - $2M cap space (if we sign really cheap punter).
  3. I think they actually didn't keep either. Stevenson goes to IR which Hodgins couldn't. Hodgins goes to PS again and I seriously doubt he will be poached.
  4. Again, unless I miss something, this doesn't make sense. You don't choose Mancz with $350K dead cap to do this. You choose Kumerow or Ferguson or Cam Lewis who have zero dead cap.
  5. Agreed. I asked about this couple posts earlier. Doesn't make sense based on everything we heard during camp. Backup center, looked like lock, injury was supposed to be minor. Really curious what is going on.
  6. Hmm, but if they wanted to keep him, they wouldn't cut him. He has 350K dead money. If he is out for a month but you want him, you cut Kumerow after mutual agreement, roster Mancz, IR Mancz and resign Kumerow with couple extra bucks. Doesn't make sense to me. I think Beane specificaly said its nothing major with Mancz. I guess we will know by tomorrow.
  7. Can somebody explain me that Mancz thing? I thought from all the reports that he was a lock. Was he outplayed by Hart and Van Roten? Wasn't he supposed to be primary backup center? I am confused.
  8. No more official cuts yet? Beane asleep at wheel AGAIN?
  9. So far "confirmed" OL Alec Anderson WR Tanner Gentry TE OJ Howard RB Raheem Blackshear RB Duke Johnson DE Brandin Bryant DT CJ Brewer DT Prince Emili From the list of players who were training today it seems that following players will be also cut: OT Luke Tenuta WR Marquez Stevenson WR Isiaih Hodgins DE Mike Love DE Kingsley Jonathan DT Eli Ankou LB Joe Giles Harris CB Ja'Marcus Ingram In other words, in some kind of capacity, i.e. at least temporarily will stay (from questionable ones): Greg Van Roten, Kumerow, Sweeney, Morris, Moss, T. Jones, Lawson, Spector, A.Smith (suspended), Cam Lewis, Nick McCloud Barkley was also training today.
  10. Well this is certainly an optimistic way how to look at things. I can imagine another perspective. The one where we keep Morris for his actual and amazing cap $705K, and not for "adjusted" cap hit of $3,3M you just calculated
  11. Well then we just need to agree to disagree I guess I find spreading irrelevant, total cap hit matters. Star $5.2M, Howard 3.2M. Star has more, but Howard is relatively much worse, since he wasn't even here. That is just wasted money.
  12. I disagree. Star left us with §5.2M dead cap but he played here what, 3 seasons? Howard didn't play a snap and leaves us with $3,2M dead cap. That is much worse imo.
  13. Didn't Dorsey say exactly the opposite? That he is just FB in his offense? I might have misread something. That's all good Yolo. If he sucks I am fine with keeping better players. I just think this is a huge huge miss on Beane's part. $3M dead cap is a lot for a player without a snap for the Bills. I know nobody sees the future and I will keep assessing Beane based on his overall work but this one hurts. More than any of his moves in recent memory.
  14. Yeah I love the work he is doing but this is huge miss on Beane's part. $2.6M dead cap for a guy who won't take a snap in Bills uniform is brutal given how tight our cap will be following years. Huge miss.
  15. This is brutal from the dead cap point of view, unless I am (or Sportrac is) missing something.
  16. And so it begins! Anyway, it's really interesting that they cut him before Blackshear. Curious if it means something...
  17. Ok thanks. I think that White won't be ready soon so he goes to PUP. Do you know if he can start training with the team sooner then in W5 (i.e. when not activated from PUP)? As for others, if Doyle needs to be IRed he will temporarily use that punter spot. I don't think they will bother with Stevenson that much, he might be just cut. Morris is questionable - if they wanted him on 53, they will need to find a temporary roster spot. In that case, someone needs to be cut and resigned. But it won't be Jones - he has 600k dead money. Ferguson and Kumerow seem like prime candidates (if Kumerow makes it).
  18. On a side note, I really hope they hit on Cook so we don't have to go through annual "Let's draft RB XY in the 1st round" mandatory thread
  19. You have some kind of obsession with Crowder, don't you?
  20. Not much difference between PUP and IR for him, but quite a big for the Bills, if I understand it correctly. If we IR him, he needs to get on original 53. If we PUP him, he doesn't have to, so we can keep one more player (without need to cut him, eat possible dead money and then sign him again). Right?
  21. Well since there are no leaks from our FO this tweet actually makes me believe he might be traded
  22. Look how the word "loser" is used in the post he was responding to. He was joking.
  23. I am pretty sure that Edmunds was eligible as a rookie.
  24. This is extremely well put even for you Gunner 👍 Agree with everything. Extend those 3, let go Edmunds and Poyer even though I don't mind Edmunds and I love what Poyer brings. Can't pay everyone so we need to choose wisely. And I do believe that Beane thinks in these lines too. Only problem I see that I still don't see how it is possible not to extend Poyer now. Will he really play if they don't agree on something? I hope so but I am skeptic. But it is best for the team imo. Minor thing re Singletary - if he has a good year I'd try to extend him on terms very favorable to Bills. Something really cheap. Maybe he takes it. EDIT: I also think that without this Poyer issue one of Oliver/Knox would be extended through this season. Something like Taron last year. But if Poyer is not extended then it might create some bad blood to extend someone important before him, so Beane might be forced to wait until the season ends. Which will cost us money probably.
  25. Exactly this. We barely had cap space to sign PS guys.
