NFL Week #12 - Bills at Lions - Pregame Thread

So Tre White in, Morse out. Really happy that Bates will be center and not Van Roten. Curious how much White plays. -
Miami signs Justin Zimmer off of Bills PS

Wow. I know it's mostly business but it still hurts my feelings (when players go to division rivals like this). -

As expected with Elam back, 2 DEs out and only 4 WRs on the roster. -
No major argument from me. When I was quoting those stats, I didn't want to prove Davis is WR1. My point was that if you have WR1 stats, you can be WR1 or WR2, or maybe some lucky overachieving WR3 on crazy hotrun, but never "good WR4 or WR5". To me he is a solid WR2, with WR1 potential but too inconsistent.

Seems like a certainty right now. -
There are lot of bad takes in this thread but man you took it to a whole new level. Davis is 20th among ALL receivers in yards (19th in yards/game), which means he produces MORE than 15 WR1 of other NFL teams. And that includes 2 games (Mia, Bal) where he was clearly not ok and had 31 yards combined. He has also 5 TDs which means shared 11th-18th position. And you call him "a very good 4 or 5". No wonder that you deem this roster badly constructed.

3 extra days when? We have Detroit on Thursday and then NE again on Thursday. -
I think its becoming quite obvious that we will never be in full health this season (not counting Hyde). It is just not meant to be unfortunately. If we will be able to overcome it remains to be seen. I am still very optimistic.

I think you guys are too harsh on secondary. Last two games they were in good positions more often than not but opposing WRs are making insane catches (after insane throws of both Cousins and Brissett under presure). I am not saying they were playing great but it is not that bad as people are making it. JMO of course.

Morse being out would suck a lot. He didn't play in Miami and we missed him big time. All things being equal, just put him in and take Van Roten out and we win for sure.

Well good thing it's not playoff time yet. Last year this time we were playing bad too.

Kirby are you sure about last year? Last year our 10th game was a disaster vs Indy. Next week we won vs Saints who had half of the team injured and no QB. Week later we lost to NE while they passed 3 times whole game and we for sure didn't look like best team in football. We were losing 24-3 at halftime vs Tampa until we finally started to look like one of the best teams in football in the second half. And even after that, we had bad to mediocre games vs Panthers, Falcons (Allen 11/26 for 120y and 3 picks) and Jets. Actually, I'd say that last regular season was below expectation quite a lot, but everything was forgotten after superb performances in playoffs (even though it wasn't enough).
