He is inconsistent so let's hope he makes big catches in PO games when we will need them the most and then drops some others which will matter less Anyway, like I said before, even though I like him more than most here, I'd trade him this offseason if there is a team willing to give us 2nd or 3rd. He still has some nice numbers and one more year of rookie contract, so it could be possible. And then draft 2 WRs fairly high. I know that Beane loves to keep his own guys but there has to be a moment where he steps a little out of his comfort zone and does something like this.

Cmon Josh take the short stuff at least sometimes... its always there and Cook can take it to the house -
Yeah order. Seems important to me in this context. Plus I wouldn't count Bengals game at all.

Not arguing your overall point, but you chose really strange way to list those games. It is more like: Pats - 0% of snaps - inactive Jets - 0% of snaps Dolphins - 47% Bears - 48% Mentioning Cincy seems weird since it ended in the first quarter. Him not playing doesn't mean much (if he didn't play, I didn't see it), I think they usually start with 2 series of Jackson then 2 series of Elam. We will see what Benford's return brings.

Playoff Solutions Assuming they don’t replay the Bengals game.
No_Matter_What replied to Locomark's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yeah you're right I went too far judging people. I apologise. It isn't either/or. But the point is that I don't get why people are so adamant on playing the game just to make sure it's "fair" when it is more than clear that there are no good solutions available (and to me, cancelling the game is clearly the best / most simple one). -

This. To me it seems weird how so many people say that they care about Hamlin but at the same time they only think about how unfair is that KC might profit from cancelling the game. I mean who cares. Do you really want the players to go to Cincy to "finish" that game either tomorrow or sometime after the Pats game just to satisfy your personal feeling that it would be unfair to hand KC 1 seed? Come on. -

I don't know about @LabattBlue, but I do. And so what? Damar Hamlin almost died and that's why we couldn't finish the game. If it can't be rescheduled in a simple way, that just take it as a fact, cancel the game. KC didn't cause it, and if they benefit, then so be it. -

Well that's sort of the point. You go by winning % precisely because not all teams have played an equal number of games. As for KC, it is what it is. You do understand that vis maior prevented a game to end so there is no ideal solution to this? I really don't get why people are trying so hard to find some magical solution. Just cancel the game, and go by winning %. -

Agreed. We wrote the same thing within a minute. It is by far the best solution. -

First of all it is very confusing to me why there isn't some clear NFL rule on this (maybe it is, but it doesn't seem to be). I mean there are many reasons why a game could be cancelled, like weather, terrorist attack, serious injury like this one, etc. League should have at least some basic rules. Anyway, if it is up to NFL, I think what you say is clearly the best and most simple solution. Game is cancelled, nobody takes W or L, both teams play only 16 games and for seeding win % is used. We end up seed 2 most likely, but who cares. It's nobody's fault, vis maior happened. It gives time to the players to take some mental rest and they can prepare on Pats game (hopefully with some good news about Hamlin received meanwhile). And if they don't feel like playing on Sunday, just forfeit the Pats game (taking an L) and somehow get ready before playofs. I mean there are other solutions in this thread that would make some sense but require lots of postponing, and usually affect too many teams. Just take the most simple solution and be done with it. -
Bills have only two (KC and Ravens), so not a big difference.

You mean people who think that E.J. Epinesa is a bust?

I don't know what AV is, but Mac Jones is 3rd in this ranking, so... -
Agreed, but it'd funny how it works. If we lose on Monday, we want Ravens to win, so we can be seed 2. But if we win, we want Bengals to beat Ravens, so we can play Ravens after the bye (if they beat Jags/Titans), and let Bengals/Chiefs fight each other.

OP starts a thread about specific player and in no time this is about all other draft picks and Beane drafting in general. SMH. As for Basham, he seems like a fine rotational piece to me. If he was drafted in 3rd/4th he would be a nice pick, so yes, he is a little bit disappointing. But at the time when he was picked he was often mocked higher so this is fine with me. And he still has a chance to be a liitle bit better. My only problem is that I've always felt we should be drafting OL more/sooner, and this looked like a good moment to draft Creed Humphrey (not a hindsight, I don't follow college, so I only knew him by name, but he was OL who seemed like a fit and was talked about when we picked) and now we know he should've been the pick.

I'd say not "almost halves", but "more than halves". It's really massive. If we lose, it will most likely go (numbers are obviously just my random guesses): WC at home vs Chargers/Dolphins - 70% Div on road vs Bengals - 55% (I'd say we will be actually bigger favorites than now since it's hard to beat same team twice in a row) AFCCG on road vs Chiefs - 50% SB - 55% If we win: Bye Div at home vs Titans/Jags/Ravens - 75% AFCCG at home vs Chiefs - 55% SB - 55% So by my numbers we have less than 11% to win SB if we lose and almost 23% if we win. 538 has it even worse - 11% if we lose, 29% if we win - https://projects.fivethirtyeight.com/2022-nfl-predictions/. That is brutal difference. All of it is simplified, since loss doesn't automatically means we are 3 seed, both Chiefs and Bengals might still lose another game (and we can also lose to Pats if we win). But it applies in general. This is really a huge game.

Bates? I think there is exactly 0.0% chance that we move on from Bates given his play/contract and I don't remember anyone on this board suggesting otherwise. Agree on other two. Saffold is imo gone unless he takes vet min. Morse might retire.
