  1. Haha I saw new post in this thread saw your avatar and knew before opening it that details are on and you posted it So you were right about bonus. So no complaints from my side. I really hope Beane keeps it this way.
  2. Lol knowing your posting history I wonder how could you possibly forgot Saffold
  3. I agree. But we need to see numbers. I have no doubt he signed for something close to vet min, I just hope we didn't give him any guaranteed money, so he doesn't leave us with any dead cap once cut. Edit: I didn't notice that you mentioned it. $25k is fine with me, $125k is not. I really hope it's the former.
  4. Well then you were probably STUNNED like 40 picks in a row until his name was finally called...
  5. Funny, I think this would mean the direct opposite (if true). I think people underestimate Beane and McD. I guess they realized that they need to change they approach a little bit. I am pretty sure that even though people mock them now the draft will be heavily offense oriented. And letting Edmunds go means that they are willing to invest in offense even more. I am not happy if he goes, but I fully support the idea to invest in offense and try to get similar results with less on defense. And I really expect Beane to go this direction. I guess we'll see.
  6. Eternal optimist, aren't you?
  7. Which players from semi-reasonable range, let's say mocked 15 and later in your mock, would you be really happy with for the Bills?
  8. I am pretty sure that he fits much better than Saffold
  9. Voted on track to winning SB but that's not what I think. I think neither of them is an obstacle to do so. They are both doing good job. But it's not enough to win SB in a league with 32 teams and 6-7 each year capable of winning it all. You need right circumstances and luck. We didn't have it last two years. And maybe we will never have. They are making mistakes, everybody is. But they are not wasting Allen. I might say that about Beane next year if he doesn't try (big time) to assemble better OL this offseason. We'll see.
  10. I am really confused. How can Denver send them its 2023 first round pick when it was already traded to Seattle for RW? Edit: Nevermind its SF pick traded to Miami then traded to Broncos for Chubb lol.
  11. Nice write-up as usual, but you are (as usual ) way too optimistic about some things. Couple of notes. 1. I don't think it makes sense to even discuss top51. It's just a temporary thing. I would always count standard roster so we immediately have $1.7 or so less (for two min deal players). 2. You need $4M for PS players and let's say $3M for very basic in season moves. Suddenly your cap space looks completely different. Those $22.2M after those basic moves are in fact imo only around $13M or so. 3. You say its for 2-3 top end players. I agree, but that means no Edmunds (I guess), and above all that means 10 guys on roster who were on our PS this year. And if you start replacing them with NFL quality players, that means more money. I know that you know this and are aware that this is what other restructures will be required for, I am just pointing it out since it wasn't clear from the OP (to me at least).
  12. Are you sure about this? Tankathon has him at 39 on their big board and the way I understand it they don't create their own board, they basically compile it from other sources.
  13. This will be a wild offseason, that's for sure.
  14. 1. Don't panic. 2. Let Frazier go and find someone who can work with McD defense but makes it a little more aggressive. 3. Start using rookies more. 4. Stop giving guaranteed money to players who may not make roster (like Howard, Mancz, Duke Johnson or Marquel Lee) 5. Stop paying ST specialists and stop paying 5th DE and 4th DT more than vet min, no matter what. As for the team: Keep everyone from this group who stays for vet min with NO guaranteed money: Matakevich, Crowder, Quessenberry, Martin, Van Roten, Hart, Boettger, Marlowe, Klein, hell even Saffold if he takes it. Then let these guys go if they don't make final 53. Make offers to all RFAs - Dodson, Jackson, Lewis Let T.Jones, Kumerow, Sweeney go. Keep Edmunds for 13M aav if possible, otherwise try to tag him and trade him. Keep Singletary for 3,5M aav on 3/4 year deal, I think he takes it Let Poyer go unless he stays for less than 4M Keep Phillips and/or Lawson for no more than 2M each Trade Oliver if you can get mid 2nd for him and draft his replacement, otherwise let him play on 5th year Trade Davis if you can get 2nd for him and draft his replacement, otherwise let him play on final year of his rookie contract Let Hines go unless he agrees to serious pay cut. Find the best OL FA possible and pay him. Maybe extend Jones for one more year. Get best backup QB available for no more than 2M (yeah take a little bigger risk on this one) If there is any reason to believe that Bernard might be any good think about playing 3LBs and trade T.Johnson (save quite a lot). Draft WR and OL in rounds 1 and 2 Draft OL and defense (S or LB, whatever meets need/quality) in rounds 3 and 4 Or swing a trade for good WR for 1st or 2nd - in that case for sure trade Oliver to create cap space.
  15. This is the best post I've read on this board since that dissappoing loss. Bad posters went rogue, and even many good and reasonable posters seemed to lost their minds for a while (many in this thread). I agree with every single word from the top to bottom. Thank you for bringing a little sanity to this board.
  16. Grass is always greener on the other side for some...
  17. We had a hard look in the mirror last year and brought Von Miller. Unfortunately for us, he wasn't here when it mattered. I know I am in a minority here but I wouldn't draw any significant conclusions from this loss. Our season was extremely derailed by the first Cincy game, we haven't recovered from that and it showed today. There were other things also but this one was the most important imo.
  18. Cincy. Not even a question. But NFC in SB, no doubt.
  19. Being from Europe, there is no way I won't be there.
  20. Bengals didn't blow out anybody this year. But yeah, they will definitely blow out us in OP next week. Lol
  21. Well neither did Bengals or Chiefs (or have a look and tell me which one it was). Except for a random blowout of a bad team there is no such thing as this mythical "complete" game some of you like to speak about.
  22. I see a small chance that in 4 weeks we look back and say that Miami gave us most fits on our way to Lombardi.
  23. Sure you can. Only problem was that this was Miami with Thompson at QB and we did not expect it. If we beat Cincy like this everybody will be happy. That's why I say - go Bengals tonight. Bring them on. No more underdogs like Jags.
  24. Ugly win, but whatever. Give me 3 more ugly wins this season.
