I stayed out of GDT today but I'll go ahead and assume people will blame this on McD and defense. While I agree that defense didn't do much today and McD made a mistake with accepting that penalty, I see two reasons why we lost: Stafford and Nacua all world performance to almost match Allen all world performance, which leads us to the crucial point - blocked punt. It was a great game and we would've won if not for that block.

Yeah and to be fair they got very lucky when converting their first or second 3rd down conversion on that Stafford scramble. Sometimes it us just one snap that makes a difference.

To me the whole premise of this thread is just wrong. In regular season, this is close to a non-issue. Yes sometimes it seems that we can't stop the run but who cares? We are not losing games because of it. How many games in the past 5-6 years did we lose because teams run on us? Maybe 2019 Eagles game, 2020 Chiefs game, 2021 Patriots, Titans and Colts games, 2024 Ravens game? That is one game a year, and even then it is also combined with offense playing bad - like Ravens this year or infamous Patriots windy game. It is the way this defense is designed and it almost always works. It didn't work vs Ravens this year since we were without Johnson, Milano and Bernard. As for PO, if refuse to rewatch those games, but I really don't remember any game which we lost because of our run defense. 2023 we lost because we couldn't get to Mahomes, 2022 whole team was off, 2021 don't even get me started, 2020 Hill and Kelce combined for 290 yards receiving. Our run defense is far from perfect but it won't stop us from winning SB. I'd say let's win SB this year with healthy Bernard and Milano and then draft some monster 1T in round 1 or 2 so we can repeat.

They also comment how lame is that we are rallying points against weaker opponents. One guy said that it screams Bills insecurity lol
