  1. The punt block TD and McDermott choosing to run on our last possession with 3 timeouts was the difference in the game. Tom Brady called out our wasted timeout live. Tom fully explained the situation and exclaimed that McDermott's decision basically made it impossible to win the game.
  2. Perhaps Bass's inconsistency has somewhat influenced McDermott's recent change of heart. I continue to hope that coach will realize that we're not going to beat the elite teams unless we always have the peddle to the metal.
  3. We're 4-2 against the Chiefs in the regular season. We're 0-3 in the playoffs. The difference in our last battle was going for 4th and short against this most recent incarnation, and it ultimately ended up being the difference in the game. In our playoff battles, there were multiple times where McDermott attempted field goals when he should have just trusted Josh. There was a marked difference in our last game between what we ultimately ended up doing in our past meetings (and losing), and what McDermott chose to allow.
  4. If coach McDermott keeps going for it on crucial 4th downs, I might start believing in him longer term. As long as he's not holding Josh back from being Josh, I think we'll break through this year and win it all.
  5. The Buffalo Bills
  6. Seems like pulling the pin on our own grenade is a recurring theme under this regime.
  7. That last offensive possession was classic McDermott. Do the absolute precise thing at the wrong time to completely ruin your chances of winning the game. Passing and preserving the Texan timeouts...
  8. We were again too predictable on offense at the worst times. I like how we fought back, but this is a big loss. If we lose to the Jets next week...
  9. Cousins absolutely balled out and got the win. Josh is capable of having these kinds of games. Against Tampa's aggressive blitzing style, they masterfully demonstrated how to react to what the defense was doing.
  10. One play doesn’t account for 35-10.
  11. When you've got a guy in Josh at your disposal, you have to give him complete control of the offense whenever you face a team you absolutely can't stop. McDermott has never just trusted Josh to handle 100% of the playcalling duties. What are we paying him for but this? If only we had the right coaches in place for such things.
  12. More Josh Allen when we win.
  13. This is what should have been Pegula and Beane's reaction to what occurred: https://youtu.be/37SrQdIqKiU?si=tanGENoDmYNOIGsL
  14. You can never coach "not to lose" We certainly have a top 5 franchise QB
  15. It very well could have gotten worse, but it would have been a lot more entertaining if we had sped up the game as soon as we knew we couldn't stop the run.
  16. It seems that nearly every time the experts start talking about us being an elite team, we have an inevitable crashing back down to 🌎. As a head coach, you have to realize very quickly that you have absolutely no answer for the opposing team running the ball and dominating the time of possession. The only answer to this reality is to score quickly whenever you possess the ball. McDermott has largely coached just well enough to sustain his job. We fans have witnessed countless performances in McDermott's tenure that have defied logic in terms of how well your QB performed and how the games ultimately turned out when it really mattered most. This was our first real test of a playoff atmosphere where a team at home needed a win. 35-10 the way we did it says everything to me. Theoretically, if a head coach would design the perfect QB to run a full no-huddle offense, who would that be? 🙄
  17. I love your posts as always. I'm right there with you concerning how I feel now about our team losing the ways they have over the years. I'm one of the crazy fans who are of the mind that McDermott has reached his ceiling and that he's holding Josh and the team back in the worst ways at the worst possible times.

  19. With our stacked roster and Josh as the franchise quarterback, there can only be limited excuses.
  20. Reid and Mahomes can't really be compared to us...they've won multiple Super Bowls.
  21. I'm certain it was McDermott who decided to run to the preferred hash mark on first down and likely told Josh to basically throw it away if nothing was there immediately to preserve the field goal try. Coaching not to lose gets in the players' heads.
  22. Deleted the other one I'm as excited as everyone else that we probably have the best chance this season with the Chiefs being vulnerable and the Ravens tendency to choke in the playoffs lately. I just don't have much faith in McDermott being able to make the right decisions when it matters most.
  23. Maybe not ideal, but if it gets us a Super Bowl isn't it worth it? Accidental
  24. The Bills have had one of the best rosters in the league for several years but haven't ultimately achieved the successes they're capable of. I do respect what McDermott has done for the franchise and his helping to change the team's culture. I however also believe he's been holding the team back in clutch moments by making crucial decisions that end up losing games. I believe in some ways that he bit off more than he could chew by deciding to be both head coach and defensive coordinator. If this team fizzles out again in the playoffs and loses to an inferior opponent, due to more bad and or stupid decisions, should Beane think about going after Belichick? Imagine where he could take this loaded team with a franchise quarterback and elite defense. We could even keep McDermott on as defensive coordinator if he'd be willing to stay. No hard feelings Sean, but Bill's proven legacy when he's had elite talent speaks for itself. These are certainly things a great owner or GM should be considering. A man can dream can't he?
