  1. I'm going to say the same thing I said last time I interacted with you. I consider you the dumbest person I have ever encountered on the internet.
  2. I literally NEVER SAID YOU SHOULD. I began this whole thing with "To be fair, it shouldn't disqualify him from playing football." For whatever reason, you took it as a personal affront that I thought he was a scum bag. Lastly, ignoring history lessons is probably how you ended up in a place where you could find terrible behavior excusable so long as you were personally entertained. You got me, my opinion that he is a scum bag (but that him being a scum bag is no reason not let him play football) is the same thing as Sharia law. Exact same thing.
  3. The Romans watched gladiators die solely for entertainment. I think there is a real danger to the moral fiber of society in extracting entertainment from role models that may represent the worst in society. That's beside the point, though. Honestly, I didn't see any of this conversation coming. In the world I live, which doesn't include church or anything of the like, what he did is universally condemnable. I had no idea there were people out there who would disagree with that. Genuinely. But here we are. I mean, millions of women marched around the country after Trump was elected to protest the type of conduct that represents the "lifestyle" that doesn't suit me. So please, spare me your condescension. Sure, in our most primitive forms we procreated with as many people as possible. We also murdered and rape. But we civilized ourselves.
  4. Well that is a naive take. If Man A murders Man B in California it doesn't matter because it doesn't have anything to do with me. Who am I to judge? Hollow bit of logic you are using there.
  5. Oh, you weren't kidding. Man I love this board. Today I learned that it is antiquated for me to think it is anything but all right, excusable, and understandable to impregnate multiple women at the same time.
  6. I can't imagine the world you live in that you don't think knocking up your fiance (and mother of your children) and then knocking up a side chick isn't wildly immoral behavior. Its not like it was an instance of bad judgment. The dude kept up the back and forth for a couple years.
  7. You also thought no one on the Bills roster would mind if a dude who banged a teammates wife was added to the team. You clearly haven't the foggiest idea what the team, players or management, think. Also, I never said what he did would disqualify him. I didn't even suggest he would be a problem in the locker room. I just said he was a scum bag.
  8. Oh...you don't understand why this comment is so stupid...that's rough. They were wildly open about their relationship on social media. It was all super trashy.
  9. To be fair, it was nothing that should disqualify him from football. He has like 7 kids with three women. He was with the mother of like four of his kids (the vocal one on twitter), knocked her up again, and then left her for a different woman he knocked up. Then he went back to her, and then left her again. That story probably doesn't mean much in isolation, but following them on twitter and instagram while it unfolded revealed just how scummy he was. Again, that doesn't mean he shouldn't be allowed to play football or anything, and lots of guys do that stuff, but watching it in real time left a pretty poor taste in my mouth.
  10. That guy was a world class scumbag. I can't help but really dislike him.
  11. Its time to learn about podcasts. I am not exaggerating when I say I haven't listened to the radio in over a year. That includes when I am in my car.
  12. This poster just out here doing God's work.
  13. Is Trent's contract stopping us from signing someone else? Aside from the principle of the thing, is there a reason we need to be concerned about how much he is getting paid? Can you at least accept that free agency is what it is and guys ARE going to get overpaid? Could we use an upgrade? Sure! However, we were still the #2 defense in the league. DE was clearly not the reason we weren't winning games. Instead, we weren't winning games because WR and OL were inadequate. Those positions are the needs. DE is like the second tier of needs.
  14. This is such a belligerently ignorant response. The OP has obviously done a good deal of work, from analyzing a number of rookie quarterbacks to disputing other methodologies (including pff). You literally dismiss all of that work without even the slightest attempt to engage. You are the worst.
  15. A wild amount of hate for an average player. Sure, he is over-payed, but that is how free agency works. I haven't the slightest idea why people get so frugal when it comes to a team with soooo much cap space. If we upgrade, great. But DE is by no stretch a NEED. OL is a need. WR is a need. DE is just a place for a possible upgrade. Its hard to find better than average, and upgrading Trent will require assets that would be better used elsewhere.
  16. It would be nice to have a veteran in the WR room. On the other hand, I like the idea of young guys learning the position with our young QB, so they can all grow together. In any event, I'm not really interested in short-term bandaid solutions. I'd rather a guy that was average in his first year that has a chance of developing into a 1000 yard receiver for years to come.
  17. The best part of this response is that Stephen A is equally unaware of why his hot takes are so ridiculous.
  18. These are a couple hot takes that would make Steven A. blush.
  19. I closest I can come is a dude in my fraternity whose girlfriend cheated on him. In a weird twist of fate he was friends with the younger guys. The kid wanted to pledge. Not only did the kid not get a bid (invitation), the older dudes were pissed that it was even suggested. Poyer would care. Poyer's boys would care. Its not Madden. You can't just add a guy and all of a sudden the value of the team goes up. Chemistry and culture are real. Brown would destroy whatever there is in the locker room. This team doesn't get better with Brown in the locker room. I know you think I'm over reaching, but the dude slept with Poyer's wife the night before his wedding. If that happened to you, would you want that dude to be in the same locker room with you every day? Do you think you would stay quiet about it? Do you think your boys wouldn't have your back?
  20. Players understand getting cut because the play has fell off or they make too much. This is not that type of cut. This is a whole different category. Its a player getting replaced by the dude who banged his wife. That's a unique brand of disloyalty that people pay attention to. That would have an entirely different reaction than Shady getting cut because he is getting old and his play has fallen off. That secondary is full of Poyer's friends. Follow them on instagram and youll see. They will notice if the Bills drop him for a dude that banged his wife.
  21. What does that say to the locker room that Beane would be willing to sell out Poyer like that? Sure, its a business, but if you want to build a culture, you can't do stuff like that. Its one thing if a guy can't play any more, this is a whole different thing.
  22. Its just, how could anyone think that? Like how? What wild assortment of life experiences has this guy had that he can think introducing the guy that banged another dude's wife the night before their wedding into the locker room wouldn't cause an absolute melt down? And then to say that the players would not care about that? But would care he quit on his old team? How in the world could anyone square those two thoughts?
  23. I wish from the bottom of my heart you could see my face. My mouth is literally open. I am aghast that anyone could write something like this. I consider you the dumbest person I have ever encountered on the internet. THE INTERNET. I literally took a screenshot of this response to share with a Pats friend of mine. Just so they can see how crazy this message board is.
  24. I consider Mr. WEO and ScottLaw's take to be the dumbest takes I have ever seen on a message board. You want to talk about losing a locker room? How do you think the players would feel knowing that the staff was willing to bring in a guy that slept with your teammates wife? They would look at the staff and say to themselves that the staff really doesnt care about them as players.
