  1. Gronk is a realllly good blocker.
  2. I just don't think the NFL is THAT interested in Tight Ends that don't block. Fans look at TE now solely as a receiving position. I just don't think the rest of the NFL does the same. After all, if they just wanted a guy that was good for 6 to 800 yards and was super tall, they would just draft a WR. The TEs value is the dual threat ability. Cook isn't much of a dual threat.
  3. Maybe. In the end, only someone who has been there would know. But my thought process is this: WVU is an excellent CFB program. This year they got taken to task by SU because their best starters didn't play. It was embarrassing for them. If I was on that team, I would be pissed at the guys who didn't play. And I wouldn't be less embarrassed because I understood why they didn't play.
  4. At the end of the day, you want players that make your offense, as a whole, better. OBJ was stellar, no doubt. But the Giants offense, as a whole, was never that good with him. Part of that is when you have a diva WR1, you have to feed him the ball constantly. The Giants did that, and it ended up really hurting them. OBJ may have made our offense better, but at his salary cap hit and the assets we would have given up for him, it is not a given that it would have made the Bills that much better.
  5. Yeah, I totally understand it. All the same, when you sit out a middle tier bowl game, you really do walk out on the rest of your team. Thats what makes it so different from a pro bowl game. Like, what happens when they get to the NFL and he develops a nagging injury? Is he going to fight through it? Or is he going to sit out so he doesn't hurt his stats?
  6. The growing number of players that sit out bowl games is just the growing number of players I have zero interest in for the draft.
  7. I follow her on IG. Shes doing jussssst fine
  8. I get it, and I give you credit for that. But the vague “trade so and so” talk is coded language for get them offf the team. His value is like a 6th. A guy who probably won’t make the team. It’s tantamount to cutting him.
  9. Some do, some don't. Why the constant skepticism? Does it affect you personally that people get happy about things? Why the need to make people unhappy?
  10. These players do not have to use their free time to do this. The fact that they do shows a commitment to getting better. Its bizarre that you wouldn't understand why fans see this as something to be excited about.
  11. This is weird. Why would we he go to Oakland to be a #2? Considering he was the top WR on the market, you would think he'd want a shot at being #1. I wonder if the money was just too much to pass up.
  12. Most WRs are a product of their QB. Regardless of what happens, teams aren't great until they have their quarterback.
  13. Something about this board, fans are always super eager to cut guys. 90% of the time it is complete nonsense--Zay, Bodine, Trent. We still need back ups/rotational guys. You can't just get rid of everyone that doesn't start.
  14. That would be a total waste of either Edmunds or Milano. The modern NFL doesn't play with 3 LBs. OLB is probably a second, maybe even third, tier need for this team.
  15. 9-7 makes really good sense. Its just that devastating losing streak to end the season, with two losses to the Jets. That makes me depressed just thinking about it.
  16. It didn't work when the Eagles did however many years ago, and it hasn't worked for any other team that has tried that tactic. I mean, name one, really. The Browns may be the exception, and its easy to get excited in the offseason, but when the games start, I bet the Browns are still an average team. At the end of the day, they will only be as good Baker Mayfield. If he gets better, and is able to complete to OBJ, they will be good. If not, they will remain average.
  17. If we can get a second, I am all for it. But with only a year left on his contract, at his age, I can't imagine anything more than a fifth.
  18. The sack numbers are down, but the pressure numbers remain really high. That has always been a weird quirk in his game. I don't know that I've ever seen a guy disrupt a QB that often without taking him down. That said, we wouldn't really get anything back for him if we traded him. From the Bills perspective, it just doesn't get us anywhere to let him go.
  19. This is a wild take. Hughes has been stellar in McDermotts scheme. Heck, maybe he would be better in a different scheme, but in this one he has still been awesome. Why in the world would we trade our best DE because we bring in another, less talented DE?
  20. Stars matter. Question though, how many free agent stars go on to make the superbowl? Seriously, take the time to look up how often it happens. It is breathtakingly infrequent. Free agency is for filling holes. You draft to get stars.
  21. Have you ever seen a "star" have success after hitting free agency? You don't buy stars in Free Agency, you draft and develop them. Maybe we don't have them yet, but its a process.
  22. No, that means they have defined roles they want to put these guys in. This belief that the Bills are bringing these guys in to be stars is a thought you came up with on your own.
  23. But thats the thing, look at his numbers and when he put them up. When he had good QB play, he put up good numbers. Last year, before they took Flacco out, he was on pace for a thousand yards. You are right about Fitz, but Brown played behind Fitz. That means less targets. Thats the nature of the beast. I don't think what you are saying makes sense if you analyze the numbers in the context of who was throwing to him.
