  1. That is true, but you make picks based not on the odds. Odds are that good teams beat bad teams. I won't find you on the Jets, because it is a bit of a toss up. I actually think we get spanked with our new O-Line playing together for the first time. But the Giants? They look more like a team trying to tank then a team that will be motivated following a home loss.
  2. If you think we end up 7-9 or 8-8, and also foresee us losing to the Giants and Jets, I honestly walk away thinking you just don't follow the rest of the NFL.
  3. That would be rough. All I really want is Monday/Sunday night game.
  4. Lets be real, you don’t actually know what the word “reach” means.
  5. Haha. Perspective, man. I remember absolutely making at least two plays that stood out. But on the whole, I really do not know.
  6. The guy was universally considered a first round talent, and was even considered to have fallen in the draft. Lets not act like it was an absurd pick at the time. And how in the world is he a bust? Bust means washed out of the NFL or doesn't get a second contract. Shaq may not be a star, but he certainly isn't a bust.
  7. This. Didn't he also play inside a little bit? I seem to remember he did pretty well, but I don't really know for sure. But I love the idea.
  8. I hate the hyper focus on sack numbers. Last year, if Shaq had 6 more sacks, he would be at 10 total sacks. Everyone would agree that if he had 10 sacks he would be worth the money. But really, is less than .5 sacks per game really that big a deal? Does that really make a game changer? I don't think so.
  9. This kind of hyperbole is probably why you have such a poor sense of Zay's outlook going into next season. He is a lock to make the team. He just is. If you genuinely think he had a historically bad rookie year-which is just objectively untrue-it makes sense you would think he may not make the team. But he didn't, and its why you can't see why he is an obvious lock to make the team.
  10. A lot of talk about value, and that makes sense. But we are talking about a one year contract. There really isn't any harm in giving him more money than he deserves for one year to see if he continues to develop.
  11. The spelling guy on the message board is always the worst. I’m sure it strikes you as clever, but on a message board, it looks petty and reeks of insecurity.
  12. Lol. I actually edited from your spelling to my spelling, because it felt wrong. I’m not sure it’s even a word. But i will trade the occasional typo for the fundamental ability to understand business and sport structures. Or really even a basic level of common sense.
  13. This was mind boggelingly stupid.
  14. This is some classic “I don’t understand how corporate organizations work so I’ll just blame everyone” stuff. The pegulas are not football people. All they can do is hire people they think can make the right choices. The stuff that happens after that - drafting Mahomes- is completing out of their hands. Right or wrong, I applaud them not interfering in those choices.
  15. Why would they get cut? Even if they are no longer the top 1, 2, 3, or even 4 guys, there are still spots on the roster. Like, lets say that in addition to our free agent TE, we draft one. We still need a third. Why cut Croom? Same thing for Zay. Why are fans always so quick to cut guys?
  16. This was the first thought that came to mind when I saw these videos. Is there anymore else written about how it compares to other facilities?
  17. Yes. The #2 defense in the league has a below average front 7. That sounds right.
  18. Yeah, but whats his hand size? I think once we start talking about arm length, assuming they aren't drastically too small, we really are nit picking. Basically, in the same way that hand size is usually irrelevant, I would bet anything arm size is as well.
  19. This. 2 QBs will be taken before the Bills' pick. DK will not be the first WR drafted.
  20. This. And after the draft we are going to look back and say, "it was so obvious."
  21. I am not surprised. That thing looks like it was built solely with the consumer in mind. And, where there is a high price tag, it is not unusual that corners are cut along the line. Figures it would be player facilities that would suffer.
  22. Dude, I would be alllll about a TE, but I don't want to use our first round pick for 750 yards (the 13 tds is nice, though). What really spooks me is Ebron. Before Hockenson, Ebron was the next sure fire, cant miss TE. Then he wasn't. The media gets hyped for the draft, the NFL promotes it, and we fall for it. Every year so many guys are touted as the next big thing, but they rarely are. Only a handful of guys end up being stars, and the rest are just solid contributors or less. I'd bet you just about anything that Hockenson is destined to be the next highly touted TE that ends up being just another guy.
  23. Ah. Good article. However, I think the disconnect here is the difference between starters and stars. Lots of TEs start, but they just don't produce much. There are a handful of "good" TEs in the league that really produce, and then a massive drop off. I guess terms like "bust" are tough, because its so subjective. I consider Ebron a bust. I know he had a great year, but before that he was not worthy of a 1st round pick. He was a starter, but definitely a wasted pick. Thats what happens with TEs drafted too high, usually. They go on to start, but they rarely live up to their first round bid.
