  1. Every once in a while someone says something on this board that literally makes my jaw drop. This was one of those moments for me.
  2. Its concussion protocol. After everything the happened, teams just don't talk about concussion injuries. This isn't a Morse thing. Its a league thing.
  3. I didn't realize KC didn't even offer him a contract. Where did you read that?
  4. Its a narrative bias thing. He had a bunch of drops his rookie year, and so a narrative developed. He had a perfectly average season from a drops perspective his second year, but the narrative survives. So every time he drops a single ball, it becomes "he had multiple drops" last game. Like, this last game. He definitely dropped that TD pass; however, afterwards, I saw multiple posters describing Say as having multiple drops. It was crazy. Sports fans are so ripe for psychological analysis, and I don't know why there isn't more of it.
  5. That’s a question of every free agent. Are you suggesting we should never sign free agents?
  6. I don't think it counts as looking at the "facts" if you then proceed to posit a series of questions you do not know the answer to.
  7. I [heart] any poster willing to do this kind of analysis.
  8. It was not a drop
  9. It is sort of an optical illusion. That is what I saw the first go around. Then I watched a second time and realized the LB had come through clean. The guy blocking him embarrassingly fell to his feet. That is why Singletary cut back in.
  10. I finally got to see that clip. This isn't accurate. The LB sealed the edge; he was unblocked. There was no outside to break it to.
  11. Like a dummy I didn't record it.
  12. Is that the play where the DE grabbed his leg as Singletary was trying to turn the corner?
  13. If you have to ask "could he have caught the ball?" It no longer qualifies as a drop. If the WR has to make a miraculous play to get it, the ball doesn't fall under the heading of "catchable"
  14. Quinton Nelson won that match up with Oliver. Its all good. Nelson is an all-pro guard and that was Oliver's first game in the league. Even still, Oliver did some good things--handling the double team, almost getting a sack, etc. I reallllly look forward to seeing what Oliver does to guards not named Nelson.
  15. He is talking about blocking assignments. Sometimes its the QB, sometimes its the center. I think most franchise QBs handle it, and centers for younger QBs handle it.
  16. This and they didn't blitz the first team OL once. . . I should hope they would do well.
  17. Preseason for the message board too.
  18. I am overwhelmed by the sense that this is exactly what will happen.
  19. LFGO!!!!! Fire. Who would you have drafted? That is pretty uncalled for
  20. This is the most devastating take down I’ve ever seen on this board.
  21. My bad, I forgot posting on a message board is an academic exercise requiring exact precision. Way to be “that guy.” But for real. Most of his concussions are more than a year out. They matter, sure, but after a year the chance of repeat conspicuous dramatically decreases. In any event, the force of the hit doesn’t necessarily equal an increased chance of a conclusion. It is actually a luck of the draw thing in that sense. It is not relevant that it happened after one practice. That does not indicate other equally light hits will later cause concussions. Hence, why this all just so dramatic.
  22. This is getting me overly excited for Oliver, and I feel like an absolute sucker. Every year. Every year I tell myself I will not get excited over training camp. But, here I am. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid.
  23. Him: "Lets not fly off the handle over an injury that will not cause him to miss a game" You: Precedes to fly off the handle
  24. This is peak pre-season message board material. I mean, the D-Line gets paid alot of money too. They are gonna win the day from time to time. Also, not for nothing, they were really good for the first five practices.
  25. That is a Stephen A. level hot take.
