  1. This is all exactly right. I love Tuesday/Wednesday, because the board stops being so much about emotional gut reactions and starts getting down to actual objective analysis. I stay away until that stuff starts to come out. Also, and this is just an aside, why does "accountability" always mean someone must be fired/cut?
  2. This is spectacularly on point. I don't break down film, but I rely heavily on the Cover-1s of the world who do and know what they are talking about. Average fans just don't know what they are looking at. We have no idea what gap/coverage responsibilities are, but we presume to without the least bit of training. That is why I wait for some detailed analysis by people who break it down in terms of "this is that players assignment" and "this is why he did/did not fulfill his role." So much interesting insights that way. But I definitely do not define a players game performance by a single play. It is the weirdest thing. A guy misses a tackle, all of a sudden it stops being one missed tackle and becomes "missed tackles all day." Or, a guy drops a ball, and it becomes "he has a case of the dropsies." Its wild.
  3. I was being sarcastic. People love to harp on how much Star gets paid, as if it matters to this team in the least.
  4. I cannot believe we put ourselves in salary cap he’ll to sign him
  5. How do you go from the extreme that was your first post to this perfectly measured response? Lol. Josh is still on the upward path. If he gets to where he needs to be, the sky is the limit.
  6. This was very dramatic I'd hug him. I think he needs it.
  7. There are over 60 players on the team. You are of course right. But when you see a party with the overwhelming majority of the team's key players attending, and you notice a couple key pieces not in attendance, that doesn't peak your interest in the slightest?
  8. Not to go all Draft Day about Jerry's party last night, but you know what I find super interesting? The only two people I know for sure wasn't at that party were Ed Oliver and John Brown. Oliver went to a Sabres game and Brown was at the gym. Doesn't mean at thing, but its a side of the NFL player dynamic that I find super interesting.
  9. Nope. But every situation is different. Hence, my complaint about sweeping generalizations. I don't know if JA is a franchise QB, but I do know he is progressing and showing really promising signs. I also know he was never going to be a day 1 franchise qb, and so an immediate rebuild was never going to happen. For our situation, we are right on track.
  10. Some do. Some don't. Some have franchise QBs right from the start, some have a roster in salary cap hell. Sweeping generalizations are part of the reason people don't understand/can't emotionally handle a loss.
  11. I mean, you can fall down stairs too. The odds of what happened in that video are crazy low. I also don’t think the blade is sharp enough to cut you. It’s metal, so it would hurt if it hit her, but that’s about it.
  12. I've never hit the bulls eye. You and I have nothing else to discuss here... JK. That's awesome! Btw, Renaissance Fair is surprisingly fun.
  13. They have a place (actually a bar) that does this in Rochester. They also do it at the Renaissance festival. At first glance, it sounds super dangerous. In reality, it realllllllly isn't. Like comically not dangerous.
  14. They are not. The money line is just as, if not more, important as the spread. Here, the money line is only -125. That tells me that the spread is exactly where it should be, because the Bills are only getting slightly more bets than the Eagles.
  15. All that chatter this week has been that their Secondary is sooooo bad, and their run game is pretty good. The reason is that they keep an extra man in the box, leaving their inadequate secondary out on islands. It was getting to the point that Schwartz was going to have to adjust. However, in a game like this, with this weather, he will not have to. It is tough because we are not going to be able to take advantage of their weakest link. On the other hand, we are a strong pass defense than a rush defense. Maybe we can put an extra man in the box as well to compensate, but them having to run forces them into our weaker link. You go into a game ready to attack other teams weaknesses. This weather means we cannot attack theirs, while also encouraging them to attack ours.
  16. Collectively, this message board doesn't understand how QB reads work, what an OC does besides call run v. pass plays, and the role of a MLB. It isn't exactly outside the realm of possibility that Star gets/got so many snaps because McD thinks he is doing his job well, and is absolutely not a liability.
  17. I am really looking forward to the second Pats game. I am trying to coax a pats buddy of mine into going with me.
  18. If the Bills beat what, in his eyes, is a good team, I wonder if anyone will actually call him?
  19. If the Eagles lose, that will be 3 in a row. They are looking at their season being ostensibly over. I bet they come out rip roaring. I have a feeling the Bills don't win this one, regardless of how they looked the last couple of weeks.
  20. Allen isn't the problem. It is the drops and the penalties. Hurry up will not fix that.
  21. Meanwhile if Allen came out and had that game you would be calling for the Bills to draft a new QB next year. You are such a bad cliche.
  22. It would probably go a long way if you just admit you are wrong. Just saying.
  23. A simple like does not encapsulate how I feel about this post. As fans, we can need whatever we want, but it doesn't matter. Love it.
  24. I have a deep appreciation for how embarrassing a moment this must be for @ScottLaw
