  1. Please, he was at NE's 45 when he got injured. We had crossed into NE territory 4 or 5 times before that point and still only had 10 points.
  2. My proof is what happened in THAT game - He turned the ball over a ton Your proof is what happened in OTHER games - He came back in the fourth quarter Your proof is weaker, because there are fewer comparables. Specifically, different coaches and players on the other side. The comparable you have is simply the timing, i.e. you believe that because he played well during a certain period of past games, he was going to play well during the same period of THAT game. That is of course a logical fallacy. My comparable is the defense was not going to change. Same coaches, same scheme, same players. There was no reason to believe JA was going to figure it out.
  3. Its disturbing that you think that is proof. We moved the ball the entire game. That had never been a problem. We weren't scoring, however, because he kept turning it over. If he stays in, he moves the ball as he had been, but he just continues to turn it over. My proof is the fact that that is what had happened in the game. You are not able to point to anything that happened during that game that establishes he would have turned it around. I won't play that game. I think JA is pretty good, and I think he is on the way to being a franchise QB. I'm just ok with him not being one yet, and I am ok with him being outmatched that day against the patriots.
  4. I'll tell you what, I will show you the proof of my claim when you show me proof that if JA stays in the game we win.
  5. The premise of your question is bad. Josh doesn't throw those interceptions, we don't lose that game. Do I think we would have won if he stayed in? Probably not given how interception prone he was that day.
  6. In my defense, I mentioned the typo in passing. I was just making a little fun of you. It was low, but I can't bring myself to regret it. I think that if he doesn't throw three interceptions we are already winning that game before he gets knocked out.
  7. We played three (two?) full quarters after the blocked punt. If that play led "directly" to the loss, so too did JA's interceptions. You are making a really silly argument right now.
  8. It was a 6 point game and he threw 3 interceptions. Tell me more about how that didn't impact the game. That's fair. I've never done it before, and I also think it is unnecessary. But MAJbobby holds a special place in my heart this week, and so I went there.
  9. I can't tell you when he "through" a pick that lost us a game, but I can tell you the interceptions against the Pats were the primary reason we lost that game. That's cool you are of that opinion. As a matter of fact, I think the same thing. I'd rather see him play fast and loose, and I also think the best QBs throw interceptions. And when I said that on this board, I got like five "confused" emojis. What you are doing right now, though, is obvious revisionism.
  10. A couple weeks ago, this board had us nabbing 11-12 wins. Now we can barely clear 8. Its almost as if the NFL is a week to week league and things change over time, and you need to have a more even temperament. I don't know. I'm just throwing it out there. Maybe I'm crazy.
  11. You must not have been on this board during the early part of the season, been on twitter, or listened to a word coming out of Josh Allen's mouth. That is intensely wrong.
  12. Weird. I don’t remember Jauron throwing it 40 times a game and going for it on fourth down more than almost any other coach in the league. I also don’t remember Jauron making the playoffs
  13. A lot of hate for a coach that not only ended a 17 year playoff drought but is also about to go to his second playoffs in three years. Maybe it’s time to take a step back and see the big picture.
  14. Maybe. I don’t really think so, but to each their own.
  15. A rookie half way through the season by definition cannot be a disappointment.
  16. I mean, you’re just trolling with this, right?
  17. Is it not code for "don't be so afraid of mistakes. We will not ride you if you throw an interception." What would JA be afraid of? Probably turnovers. If he is told to be fearless, it seems like they are also saying don't be so afraid of turnovers. That is definitely more than coach speak. And even if it is coach speak, who cares? Do you really expect JA to get into the Xs and Os of what he discusses with the coaching staff?
  18. These responses are so stupid. He really is damned if he does, damned if he doesn't. He says "play fearless," some idiot says "coach fearless" like he isn't one of the most aggressive coaches on fourth down or this is somehow bad coaching. He says "don't play fearless," and he would get criticized being too conservative.
  19. He reads the field. Sometimes very well, sometimes not. Fact is you just aren't going to hit those intermediate throws if you are not. Besides, there is plenty of Cover 1 stuff out there pointing out how his eyes are manipulating safeties, or he is going through reads, etc. He just doesn't do it consistently well enough.
  20. Aside from Bosa and Murray, the rest have been okay at best. Oliver played pretty will, winning the third most pass rushing snaps in the league. However, he lost his job to a guy that is playing out of his mind. Oliver wasn't being outplayed, for the most part, by anyone else drafted this year. The other tackles are indeed starting, but none of them are playing particularly well. Hell, there have been re-drafts that have Ford being drafted in the top ten. Again, Ford is just being out played by a guy that is doing very well. I think your response is a classic example of not paying attention to the rest of the league. Hence, why your expectations are so off.
  21. I have been listening to Nick and Nolan alot lately. They have a good saying that I think applies to this thread. That is, expectation - reality = disappointment. Based on your expectations for rookies, you were mostly destined to be disappointed. Sure, you sometimes get day 1 starters in the draft, especially in the first round, but they are rarely difference makers. If you expect them to be, the reality will inevitably cause you to be disappointed.
  22. If that happens, this board will be prolific ... (see what I did there?) Really though, I will have to log off this board.
