Nate Clements' "cheap shot"
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to Simon's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It was a run play and Clements/Holt were away from the play and Clements took Holt out at the knees. However, they didn't show video of all the crackback blocks the WRs throw during the game either. Ask Torry Holt to only block people that are looking at him before HE complains about somebody taking 1 shot at him in a game. And now a less intellingent comment....THAT'S HOW WE ROLL IN THE B-LO, SUCK IT UP AND GO BACK TO YOUR DOME. IF YOU DONT LIKE GETTING HIT GO RUN TRACK! -
( OT ) Camden NJ = Most Dangerous City
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to Talonz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I work in Camden. They are having an especially violent year this year. The cops have been squeezing the drug dealers out of some of their spots and that is causing some turf wars around town. Oh well...keep your head down. -
Predictions for tonigh
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to tombradyfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
24-13 Bills. Willis goes nuts tonight in his first primetime game since his injury. He is a man with something to prove and it starts tonight on ESPN. 175 yards, 2 TDs and at least one long run. -
Anyone else thinking tackle eligible on the goalline? I don't see him doing much else at this point so if that's not the reason they activated him I'm as confused as you. I just realized that I mentioned Jason Peters...and I'm about to be horribly flamed for doing so....

Who feels good about this week?
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to Frez's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We win this week because Willis will get the ball early and often. Look at the difference in offensive production when he has been on the field this year. Seriously. Even last week's debacle showed it, first half squat, second half we drove up and down the field, granted we f-ed it up, but we moved the ball. Same thing against the Jets and the Fish. Willis gets 30 touches this week, runs for 150 yards and the teams first rushing TD of the year. Everybody better hope McGee plays tough, we're gonna need him on D, otherwise we see alot of Jabari Greer in nickel sets and nobody really wants that. Bills 16 Cardinals 10 -
Bledsoe angrily defends himself
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to DPR4444's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Good for you Drew, stop accepting this ridiculous BS from everyone. Our line is a farce, it has been a farce. What is supposed to do with that? QBs who can't run need an o-line and Drew is NOT the only immobile QB in the league. Peyton Manning for example, doesn't get touched and doesn't run. There are many others. Would it be nice if he could run, yes, but he can't. Noone on the whole f-ing team can block consistently. We have ZERO rushing TDs this year. ZERO! That isn't all playcalling either so don't even try that. How can we score when we can't run inside the 20? How? We had ONE game this year where Drew didn't get chased around, the Miami game, and we won that and he looked decent. Is he a top 10 QB, no, but he isn't a bottom 10 guy either. He's average and the line is killing him and the whole offense. When you can't run you have to throw, when you have to throw the other team blitzes, when the other team blitzes you get hit, it isn't complicated. Other teams have NO respect for our line at all. They are always careful to speak well of the skill positions but more than one team has called out our o-line publicly. Go ahead and flame me, I know I've trodden upon the sacred Bledsoe sucks grounds. Start holding the people accountable who are really at fault, Mike Williams, Chris Villarial, Ross Tucker, Trey Teague, Lawrence Smith, and Jonas Jennings. Our tackles are average at best and our interior line is god awful. We have TWO terrible centers and we can't drive block a van full of retarded kids in wheelchairs. It's embarassing. GROW A SACK AND HIT THE MAN IN FRONT OF YOU!!! Until then all the railing about Bledsoe is a waste of time because for the next month we have NOBODY ELSE, god forbid someone else should pick up their game and help us out a little. IT'S WEEK 7 AND WE HAVE ZERO RUSHING TDS, reconcile that if it's all about Drew. :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: -
Favorite independent or obscure movie
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to Dante's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He seems to have built a nice little career out of it though hasn't he. He's pissed at B-Lo because apparently Buffalo '66 got ripped locally although I've never met someone from B-Lo who didn't love it and totally connect with it. We should probably thank the "art community" in B-Lo for pissing him off. He did say something along the lines of "they eat up their own" which to a large extent is true, hence half the material on the website... -
I'm 9th 10-3 this week with Dallas tonight, still in Survivor too ATL came through for me as well. How many are still in that? I counted around 50 last week... My wife is 29th. Nice tandem, we should move to Vegas....

Whatever, being a fan doesn't mean you have to be a "fanboy" running around saying we're going to win all the time. We're playing the Patriots, they've beaten us ALOT recently, Bledsoe has shown no ability throughout his CAREER to do anything against Belicheck, and the team hasn't done anything to inspire a lot of confidence in me. Unless the Bills got a lot better in the week off we ARE going to get trashed. It doesn't make me less devoted to be able to realize that. On the contrary I've watched them so long I can pretty well figure out when we have a shot and when we don't. Will I watch the game? Yes. Will i hope I'm wrong? Yes. Will I be overly disappointed if we lose? Probably not because it surprises me more when we actually play well now...which is sad.

OT - HD DirecTV receiver w/TiVo
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That 1000 would be in addition to what I already have ;-) My point was that they are marketing this to new HD customers, hence the direct mail piece i got yesterday, but for the 700 additional they want for tiVo I can get a bigger/nicer HDTV and still have DirecTV in HD. People may be buying it, in fact I'm sure they are. It doesn't mean they aren't getting ripped off for being the first person on the block to have one, which is normal. I'm annoyed because I've intentionally been waiting for the unit to come out and the price is about double what I'm willing to pay for it since the price of HD DirecTV w/o TiVo has dropped by about 200 this past year. TiVo's worth about 200 bucks to me, maybe 300 but certainly not 700, that prices it well beyond other recording devices. In addition you have to then pay for the TiVo service? That's a little ballsy too. $1000, just to fork over another 60/year to use the thing. Whatever, I know you're right I'm just bitching about it. The technology still doesn't cost that much though, we're just on the wrong end of the supply/demand curve and there aren't many competitors yet. -

You are correct, my apologies. But $1000 is still ridiculous and that is them. -

OT - HD DirecTV receiver w/TiVo
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In addition, I just checked the specs. It only records 30 hours in HD, 200 in SD. that means the hard drive is the same size as the SD units they are charging about $350 for. 2 tandem 120 GB drives. 1 120GB internal drive costs about $80, so 2 is $160 So allowing for the $300 that the stand alone receiver costs, plus the 160 for the drive space still leaves 640 dollars to get to the $1000.00 price point. As I said, they are hosing us. They also have units that record 70 hours in HD for $1600 and (check this out) 77 hours for $2000. that's $300 for SEVEN additional hours. You go from 30 to 70 for $600 then 70 to 77 for $300? Hughes needs to get real... -
I got knocked out once and saw yellow. From what I heard afterward my eyes were open. So I wouldn't doubt that my eyes were still receiving light data from my eyes but my brain wasn't processing it corectly. But I'm not a neurologist. Maybe it has to do with what part of your brain crashes into the inside of your skull.

Losman's still hurt...
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you misunderstand me. Yeah he's sucked but until somebody blocks for him I am not willing to put any more than 50% of the blame on him. Last year the whole offense was a joke from the top down. Sam Gash at WR, 'nuff said. And to correct you he was not garbage in week 1, did he fumble twice in scoring territory or did Eric Moulds? He missed one throw, to Daimon Shelton on the goal line, when the line AGAIN did not block the blitzer. Should he have made the throw, yes, does that make the whole game awful, no. I'm not saying he's great and we shouldn't criticize because he's not and we should but if we all point the finger at one man it lets the 5 who are really to blame off the hook. Did Travis Henry suddenly become terrible because he's averaging 2.something a carry? No, he has no holes. Our line SUCKS, it has SUCKED and it will continue to SUCK until they fix it. Until then I don't think anyone can objectively evaluate any skill player that is line dependant. If we GET a good line and he still sucks, please feel free to dump him immediately. Until then don't waste your breath because there's noone else for at least 8 more weeks. And by the way TD is getting grief for trading up to get HIM, but that's another rant. -
OT - HD DirecTV receiver w/TiVo
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Unfortunately, hard drives just aren't that expensive... I don't believe that is the reason for the price point at all. I believe that it is because that is the first one out on the market with those features. They'll sell as many as they can then drop it. A year from now the price will be $600 and hard drive technology won't be that much cheaper. Seriously, for $1000 I can buy a pretty decent COMPUTER with a video capture card that will do the same thing. -
Not that he's injured, but that he isn't a viable QB option right now? I mean seriously if he were healthy we'd ALL be calling for him, and maybe some people in the locker room would be too. As it is Shane Matthews isn't really an option that will improve anything so we're stuck with Drew. This forces us and the team to try to figure out how to make what we have work rather than chuck it and start over. Be honest, as bad as Bledsoe was last week he wasn't terrible in week 1, but the O-Line has been awful both weeks. They can't open a hole for the running game. If you can't run you have problems, regardless of your QB. There is only ONE way this team will get better, block better, period. Anyone but Michael Vick would have serious trouble in our situation right now. Yes, Bledsoe was garbage last week, his accuracy was crap, there's no arguing that. But if we consistently end up in 3rd and 6 or more this is what we can expect. People will blitz us to death. We MUST continue running the ball but we must get better at it...soon other wise we're done and contrary to popular opinion it won't all be Drew...

$999.99 I repeat... $999.99 That's insane! A regular HD receiver costs about $300 now. So I'm supposed to pay another $700 for TiVo? TiVo is cool but it's not THAT cool. Considering you can now purchase a plain old low-def DirecTV box w/TiVo for $79.99 $999.99 seems a bit steep to me. Hopefully noone buys these at this price point. They'll be forced to drop the price down if they don't move any units, a la N-Gage last year. If anyone from Hughes is reading, you can talk me into $500, $300 for HD, $200 for TiVo, but you will never ever EVER talk me into spending $700 just to add TiVo...

Bills/Dolphins Bakay's Tale Of The Tape
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to ChevyVanMiller's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great piece...seeing all the F Miami emoticons made me wonder....what happened to the fantastic T'Shirts we used to see at the Ralph about 10-15 years ago. You know, the ones that said nothing except F--- MIAMI in huge letters, sometimes with a mutilated Dolphin on it? Where did they go? Now that I'm old enough to buy one w/o my Mom throwing a fit I can't find one. C'mon T-Shirt guys, bring em back.... F--- MIAMI! :I starred in Brokeback Mountain: -
Best available from cut day?
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to Sen. John Blutarsky's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I correct myself, that is the wrong Jermaine Lewis. The one we all know plays for Jacksonville not Houston. This one was a 1st year guy from Western Michigan, not the guy who torched the Giants in the Super Bowl. My Bad! -
CB/KR Terry Fair -he can be a 5th corner and run back kicks, he's had success as a KR and unless we love Greer at 5th CB I see a spot for him. CB/KR Vontez Duff - I remember him running back kicks at Notre Dame. 26 yards/KR 2TDs 9.9 yards/PR 1TD He can take the 5th DB slot as well. WR/KR Jermaine Lewis - If he can still run his resume speaks for itself but we need to make a roster spot RB Aveion Cason - great speed, has some experience if we don't like either Simonton or Williams. Anybody else look interesting??

A WHOLE 25 snaps? Wow, don't hurt yourself. Have you ever tried to long snap? It's really hard to do well even if there isn't a D-lineman about to obliterate you. And it isn't just about getting it there. It has to be very fast and very accurate. If the snap is slow but accurate you get your punt blocked, if it's fast and wild you have a circus. It has to be both and it really isn't that easy to do. If it is inconsistent on field goals your percentage drops because, in cae you haven't noticed, the kicker starts moving on the SNAP...BEFORE the ball is placed. Those tenths of a second make a HUGE difference in the kicker's timing. 25 snaps can, in NO WAY, be a substitute for the thousands upon thousands of snaps Dorenbos has made in his life. If we have a guy on the roster that can do it that's great, but there is a reason that MANY NFL teams carry a long snapper, it's worth 1 roster spot to be able to kick consistently.

The Chiefs are in trouble too
Sen. John Blutarsky replied to nodnarb's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wish we could get Will Shields for Bobby Shaw straight up. :-) Let them suffer like Miami...plus this just encourages them to gve the ball to Priest Holmes more often, that doesn't exactly suck for them...
