  1. You learn who's stupid enough to take it without practicing first. Or the people who tell their agent they're studying when they aren't. If it's THAT easy to prep for should EVERYONE score in the 30's?
  2. No terms discussed, only that the Eagles were talking to the BIlls about moving up to the 8 spot. The Eagles have already offered Hollis Thomas around the league so he might be part of a swap, though I'd prefer draft picks. I know this isn't as thirlling as a confirmed deal, I figured I'd let you all know that it was said...
  3. Tell yourself whatever you have to. The only way to keep the BIlls in Buffalo is to fix the economy and make the area viable. B word to the politicians about THAT. Fix the tax situation. Create some jobs, stop hemmorhaging the population base of the area. They wouldn't be talking about any of this if the politicians (and the idiots who put them in office) had stood up and done something 10 years ago. The situation in Buffalo isn't new, DO SOMETHING! I grew up there and I decided well before I graduated high school that I couldn't live there because there's nowhere to work. I wasn't alone. Start changing the area, make the politicians stop fighting over their little feifdoms or get rid of them...all of them. Before the people of WNY do anything like that they have noone to blame but themselves for this problem. They have enabled the situation to continue through their continued political inaction.
  4. Here's a comprehensive list of things fans can do to keep the Bills in Buffalo. 1. Nothing The decison is completely out of your hands. There is absolutely nothing you can do to offset the mountains of money to be made by moving to LA. Ralph Wilson is going to die, it's going to happen. Maybe not this year maybe not next but soon. Revenue sharing is dead, the big teams have spoken and the small teams don't have enough juice to influence the outcome. That became clear when the CBA was signed. Start getting used to it now. The NFL will prop up New Orleans because it looks bad to have them move and we'll be the ones in LA because noone who matters cares. Start getting used to it now.
  5. what happened? did he make it? dawg, I'm waiting on the edge of my seat as though that weren't a defining moment of my adolescence... i hope he makes it...
  6. really though why shouldn't we at least get an idea of what we can get for him? If it's underwhelming so be it, but you'll never know if the GB people are still cuckoo for cocoa puffs over him if you don't ask. I have no particular attachment to him that a reasonable trade package couldn't smooth over. if someone wants to give me a #1 I'm listening, why shouldn't I be listening? Won't know if you dont ask though...
  7. wait. the market for RBs is never as strong as it is for other positions. there's no reason to do the deal now. really you could get domanick davis for a song right now and he's pretty decent and there's a situation like that every year plus a strong crop of rookies every year. RB's are Kleenex, good in the short term but meant to be disposable.
  8. Yeah, I'll get right on that...maybe work would be good enough to push back the day so I don't have to be up at 5am too. West Coast teams are irrelevant to world because of things like this. They play sports on the west coast? coulda fooled me.
  9. And there is the winner kids. Don't cut him becuase he HAS to play hard, if he dogs it he'll then be the 34 year old WR who probably has lost something instead of the 33 year old who might still have it on a better team. We hold the cards as long as we're willing to pay him to play this year and quite frankly, I don't see anyone left on the market that we're going to bring in that will require us to free up cap space. He can whine and complain as much as he wants, if Marv is willing to toe the line with this guy we can get something for him, or at least one more year of decent production. We don't have to TRADE him until week 6...that's a long time. The more WRs get signed the more valuable he is, the more WRs get hurt in camp the more valuable he is. The only way this goes south for us is if Moulds gets hurt in camp and can't play, that way were stuck paying him and he's worthless. I say risk it becuase he's probably gonna hold out anyway.
  10. Every game is available to be watched only if you have directv and 300 bucks you don't need. The point is that even with that the event is based around Sunday. people gear their whole week up to Sunday. The more games you play on other days the less of an event Sunday becomes. Which night is hockey night? For anyone who DOESN'T live in Canada there is no hockey night because hockey is on every night, same with basketball and baseball. I love the NHL dearly but I don't schedule my life around it because if I miss a game there will be 4 more the next night. With the NFL I will schedule myself to be free to watch football all day every Sunday. What I said re: cheapening Sunday Ticket is true too. For every game they move off Sunday and put on Primetime you are getting less football for your money. DirecTV (and other bidders) won't be happy about that if it continues becuase it makes the product less desireable. There's a big difference between paying to see an additional 11 games (given 3 national Sundays and 2 PTs) as opposed to seeing an additional 9 games per week. And those are weeks where noone has a bye. Sunday Ticket would only give you 7 more games on a week where 4 teams were off. I realize that a lot of this is experimentation. The reason the NFL network is carrying those Thursdays is because the league couldn't sell them to anyone and the MNF doubleheader idea is an obvious attempt to jumpstart MNF which is dying on the vine. I'm concerned becuase ANYTHING can become oversaturated in the market and the league thus far has done an excellent job of avoiding that. Exposure w/o overkill.
  11. I think just for week one so far. They're getting a little silly now... maybe 2 MNF games, Thursdays, Saturdays Sunday 1, 4 &8? Oversaturation is very dangerous. Always keep the fans wanting more, Sunday is an event right now. Bigger Mondays and Thursdays cheapens that considerably, not to mention devalues things like NFL Ticket since it puts more games on national TV.
  12. Thanksgiving Bills games completely ruin the holiday. I'm glad we don't have one. Of course now that KC is in the mix we don't get four guaranteed years of peaceful turkey, but for at least this year we're good.
  13. I'm still rather amazed that they are doing this...and that owners are letting them do it...
  14. My biggest problem with MNF is that it's on too bloody late. There is absolutley no way that I'm even attempting to stay up for a game that STARTS at 10:15 Eastern. Never, not gonna happen.
  15. Looking for somewhere to watch the Sabres/Ottawa game tonight, the Sabres board won't let me post for some reason...
  16. For the love of God why? He's TO only less talented
  17. If one more post begins "you're entitled" I think I'm going to be entitled to barf... Girls....you're both pretty....
  18. He's proven to be a quality clipboard holder. When's the last time he actually played, let alone meaningful minutes?
  19. Something like that...Malibu's Most Wanted reference.
  20. Ask them whether they care or not. They were pretty good the 3 years before that too.
  21. You're right...my bad. Maybe we can re-sign Lawrence Smith
  22. aren't there too many exclamation points on this topic? I think ONE would be excessive. I think this signing definetly calls for a period. Maybe even a question mark. Andre Davis has signed. Andre Davis has signed? Don't those seem more appropriate?
  23. If McCown comes in JPL needs to be the next to go. Since that ain't gonna happen (Ralph isn't gonna eat 3 bonuses and a coach in one year) keep dreamin' about McCown... How about Stephen Neal? or Tom Ashworth? or find a way to get Jeff Faine?
  24. Dude, I think it already fell.... Let's play connect the dots with Marv's liver spots....
