  1. OK, I officially have a man crush on Owen Schmitt now
  2. "freakishly big hands" = good. jumping over defenders = bad
  3. now only if they can keep them from sparring with family members and nearly killing themselves theyll be in good shape.
  4. Starting? I see Evans and Parrish starting with a rookie and Reed splitting time as #3. Parrish moves to the slot in 3 WR sets. At TE I see Royal getting the bulk of the PT with John Carlsen coming in in passing sets.
  5. I'm picturing Madden, alone, late at night, in his bus, holding a video game with his name on it and Favre on the cover in one hand and furiously masturbating with the other. Now you're picturing it too. Sorry.
  6. We all know what hot dogs are made of too. Krafts and Belichecks...
  7. We have to type full names now?
  8. Well, because he's really pissed at the Eagles right now who have him by the short hirs. As you noted he's under contract until 2011. A protracted holdout really isn't an option. What he really wants now is out of Philly and a few more bones to show him some love from his new team. Split the difference between Samuel and where he is now and he'll be fine. If it were me I'd split the difference on base salary and give him performance incentives that would allow him to exceed Samuel's contract. Use that burr under his saddle for productive purposes.
  9. I think a team with Laurinaitis, Poz AND Connor at LB would be penalized for cannibalism at least twice a year. We'd get killed vs. the pass but RB's would die by the truckload.
  10. No, but the thought of Poz and Connor at ILB just made me drool a little. Unfortunately you are correct and we aren't getting away from our pantywiast Cover 2 hybrid poop.
  11. It's not so much that he wants "megabucks" it's that he just signed a new deal with the Eagles who were stingy with him and gave the "we don't spend big money on corners" line. The Eagles then turned around and dropped 10 million on Asante Samuel. He is pissed that a guy from another team was worth more to the Eagles than a Pro Bowl CB on their own roster who has helped them win already. Hard to argue with that really. i think if we bring him in we can get away with a lesser renegotiation than the Eagles can at this point.

  13. Well here's the difference exactly for you. A player who runs a 4.3 is running at 9.3 yards per second. A player who runs a 4.6 is running at 8.69 yards per second. Distance = velocity multiplied by time. Given the same amount of time (4.3 seconds) how far can each player run? Player A 9.3 x 4.3 seconds = 40 yards (39.99 for the nit pickers) Player B 8.69 x 4.3 = 37.367 yards So, over 40 yards, Player A is crossing the finish line when Player B is 2.633 yards behind him. For each 10 yards run, Player B falls .658 yards further behind Player A so after only 20 yards payer B is more than a yard behaind Player A. That's a big difference. It works both directions too, either your WR is running away from the 4.6 CB or your CB is catching the 4.6 WR. If Kelly gets 4 feet of seperation (which is pretty wide open), the DB will have completely made up that ground in less than 20 yards, and will be in arms reach in less than 10. Now, there are few athletes who run a real 4.3. most run in the mid 4.4s. So given that and that Kelly ran a mid 4.6 the differenct is thus 4.45 CB's run 8.99 yards/second 4.45 x 8.99 = 40 Kelly runs 8.64 yards/second 4.45 x 8.64 = 38.448 1.552 yards difference. The CB hits the 40 while Kelly is on the 38.5 yard line.
  14. Because Adrian Peterson is ridiculous...and Kelly is slow...
  15. That, in addition to Andy Reid's man-crush on lineman should be all the info you need. Question is, do they move up for Albert who could be a RT or do they go for Clady? What I do know is that if they move up and take an o-lineman there will be a riot from Iggle fans. They have a major hard-on for a WR...any WR...
  16. Here's the question. if Chris Long falls who will be the first to refer to him as High motor?
  17. I am NOT blocking Hannibal Lechter.
  18. Eagles aren't gonna move up for a WR. If it's for anyone it will be Albert or Harvey.
  19. OK, so that means what exactly? Do the Bills flip flop corners or does MCGee stay on the same side all the time? Does Greer cover the slot or does he stay outside? All important questions. It also tells you we had zero pass rush since the QB was able to hit his secondary option that often. My guess is they covered the #3 recieiver so well because the #2 already had the catch and was running away...
  20. How many years in a row can we say that legitimately?
  21. FTR, this is about the 4th LA stadium that has been planned. When I see shovels in the ground, then I'll be concerned.
  22. Well I guess it depends on what the team sees itself as this year since JP's contract is up after this year. If they see themselves as a legit contender NOW they should keep him for insurance. If they think they are a year away they should move the asset for a return and eliminate the inevitable Trent/JP conflagration.
  23. The divison playoff round, the AFC championship and the super bowl
  24. I still like my plan Deal down with Philly to 19 and add Sheppard. Take the best CB on the board at 19 unless some other players has dropped significantly. Go WR in round 2. Move back up if necessary. Rd 3 and after go best available. Nets you 2 CBs and the WR you want. Our defense goes from sketchy to good overnight and we still get the tall WR we want with more picks to add TE, FB, OLB, etc. later on.
  25. Name me a WR who doesn't do this. Seriously, I think it's par for the course.
