Mike Hart and Anthony Thomas are the same guy and we just rid ourselves of one. Why add another? -

When did West Virginia move into the Northeast? geographically and culturally it ain't even close. More accurately, he played in the Big East and was on TV alot. -
and to think the Giants didn't put a single DB on the field all night. They didn't have to. You see, their pressure was just THAT good. They even told 2007 1st round pick Aaron Ross, 2007 7th round pick Michael Johnson and 2005 2nd round pick Corey Webster to stay home...just to prove the point.

What Jim Leonhard did was admirable but pretty far from good. We all like him but he's too small and too slow. He's definetly upgradeable. i dunno if this kid has the coconut for safety but I definetly agree that one of the CBs we drafted is going to saftey and it's probably not McKelvin. Our safety depth is pretty scary right now with Jim Leonhard (small and slow), George Wilson (zip tackling, none, zero) and John Wendling (so impressive that they tolerated Big Whiffin' George Wilson for most of the season) Forgetting the fact that it's the 7th round here. You take the best player you have on the board and see what he's got. if he's good you make room, if not you don't lose much.

eh. James is ok. i dunno if I want him as a starter. It will be interesting to see if they start McKelvin out of the box or if they spot him in and let him run back kicks for awhile. McGee McKelvin Greer James assuming he stays healthy and Youboty doesn't remember how to play football Corner or Youboty depending on who steps up IMO - barring an act of God Youboty is gone, possibly first cuts at camp.

There are capital L and small L legal problems Both of these guys are small L IMO. I can't count the number of times I could have been picked up for disorderly conduct between 18-22 and I'm not what you'd call a low character guy. I'm glad we've gotten off our high horse a bit. We were excluding wayyy too many good players for stupid little things. it's like the Eric Moulds ordering a pizza to practice thing. Was Moulds a bit of a douche during his tenure? yeah. We he pretty damn good too, uhm, yeah.

Reed and Parrish are completely different other than their height. Reed wishes he had Parrish's elusivness and accelaeration. The best thing about Reed is his blocking. Reed's as good as gone IMO if Johnson can play any special teams at all because right now Reed doesn't and he just got demoted (by drafting Hardy) to the #4 wideout at best. johnson's taller than him, faster than him, and catches the ball better than him. jenkins will fill Aiken's role. He started to last year already. The question is whether we keep 5 or 6 WRs. I think 5 and Josh is gone.

There are levels of D-II. NW Missouri St. is one of the top D-II teams every year and they play aginst other top d-II schools. That 98 yard run was against Grand Valley St. who is a good team. There are bad D-II teams just like there are bad D-I schools but if you put some of the top D-II schools up against the bottom D-I schools and a bunch of the 1-AA schools they'd win their share of games. If he went to say Florida International in D-I I don't think you'd dismiss him like that even though FL International was 1-11 in a horrible conference. Others have posted the list of famous D-II players and the list of contributors is even longer. Don Beebe went to Chadron St, Jim Haslett went to Indiana U of PA as did Chris Villarial, Keith McKellar went to Jacksonville St. Brian Moorman went to Pittsburg State. There's a hefty 1-AA list as well. Howard Ballard went to Alabama A&M. Mark Kelso and Steve Christie both went to William and Mary. Scott Norwood went to James Madison. Guys end up at lower division schools for a bunch of reasons, not the least of which being they can play right away (without sitting out a year) if they transfer out of a D-I school. I'm not saying he's the second coming or anything but the list of players from those levels who have been successful is too long just to ignore him as a throwaway.
