  1. No they didn't. They offered to activate him to the reguular squad for the rest of the season for league minimum. Buffalo gave him a 2 year deal and a 50K signing bonus. As a PS guy any team can offer him anything, just like an unrestricted FA. he can accept or not. he chose Buffalo because he thought he might have a better chance of starting/playing. But when you suck, you are going to suck even on a bad team. Brohm also has a very weak arm, and is no where near the strength of Edwards.
  2. 3 seasons ago, GB knew they needed at least one QB. They drafted a can't miss kid by the name of Brian Brohm and a future growth QB by the name of Matt Flynn. But it seems even with injuries in preseason this Flynn kid outplayed the high profile pick of Brohm who was a high 2nd round pick. In 3 seasons in the NFL, the high profile can't miss kid has played in 10 preseason and rgular season games. This practice squad expected 7th rounder has played in parts of 11 preseason and regular season games. Several of them just to take a knee at the end protecting their #1 QB in GB. The high profile kid has been reelegated to the practice squad both seasons. So in 10 games the 2nd round drafted player has ZERO (0) TD's and SIX (6) Interceptions. The 7th rounder has THREE (3) TDs and TWO (2) Ints. Can you imagine being the expected #2 QB on a storied team like GB and never actually making their team? Can you imagine getting significant playing time in the NFL in preseason and never throwing a TD? Brohm 152 passes - 0 TDs - 6 INTs Flynn 82 passes - 3 TDs - 2 INTs Seems to me we got the wrong guy from GB. I know Flynn wasn't available but Brohm should have been thrown back. Why does anyone think this guy is going to even make the team let alone be our savior?
  3. In his 4th season Trent in preseason and regular season has 27 TD's and 29 Int's. In his third season Brohm has 0 TD's and 6 INT's. You decide. A guy in 3 seasons who has never ever thrown a single TD in any game ever or one that has 27
  4. I just rewatched the play, Edwards let go on his 23 and hit Evans at Indys 25. So 52 yards in the air, on a rope. Pennington can't, Brohm can't Fitz can't make that throw.
  5. Sure you can. That ball was thrown on a rope 45 yards. Half the guys in the NFL do not make that play and hanging it up like JP used to would have allowed the defense time to react. That was a beautiful throw.
  6. Facts suck and so does Brohm and his 5 yards per throw average with no td's.
  7. Yeah let's ignore all that arm tackling especially that safety. That wouldn't support you incorrect position. Also, that pass was more than 45 yards in the air, and no most QB's don't complete that.
  8. Except he said it when he was coach going to 4 super bowls in a row and becoming part of a legacy that put him in the HOF. HOF coach vs. an internet retard. Hmmmm tough choice.
  9. I like how they say if you take that play away he sucked. Well if you take Spillers TD run away he sucked too. He would have been 9-23. Let's cut Spiller. If he doesn't have a big play he blows. Brohm was great though. 5 yards per pass. Woohoo. Fitz had almost 5 yards per pass in the first preseason and he had a TD. Case close.
  10. Daytime bombing runs. Yeah I don't think so.
  11. To top it off, they've alread said at the beginning of camp that they will only carry 2 QBs. Whoever loses out between JP and Whitehurst they've hinted will be cut and a young kid signed to the practice squad.
  12. Same week. Jauron fired on 17th and Brohm officially signed on 19th. There was actually at least one day where he tried to negoiciate to stay with GB but GB only offered league minimum for 1 year and no bonus. Buffalo gave a 2 year contract with a bonus and GB said go screw yourself. edit: he signed on the 18th, so these two things were occuring together.
  13. They're on a liars/ostrich roll. They probably think Iraq bombed pearl harbor.
  14. He's been in the league one less year than Edwards and until the Bills signed him under Jauron he never made it off the practice squad getting beat out by an injured 7th round pick both seasons.
  15. You cannot step up in a 3 step drop. Period. Whine all you want you can't. There is no room. Manning can step up because he typically is shotgun or 5 step drop. Our QB's are primarily 3 stepping. It because the edge blockers suck and they want to throw quickly. But in a 3 step drop you cannot step up into the pocket.
  16. There is no stepping up into a three step drop. Do you guys even watch the games?
  17. And remember hope and change got us our current president and his promise to be out of gitmo in 90 days, out of iraw in a year, unemployment will stay below 8%. Sometimes the people don't know what's right. Usually they are wrong.
  18. And yet in Green Bay for 2 years brohm couldn't get off the practice squad. So I find it doubtful that Green Bay with their success at QB's would hav him so low unless there were issues.
  19. And I believe Marv used to say, "When you start listening to the fans, you'll be sitting with them."
  20. I thought the germans attacked Pearl Harbor?
  21. You guess???? WTF, are they going to get a brother or someone else to stand in for him? You guess?? YOU GUESS? Of course the wedding is off.
  22. Gotta have JP Losman over that Joe Montana guy. Montana was only very average and if it wasn't for that Young guy pushing him and a stallar team around him he'd make trent Edwards look like a star.
  23. No, I think I read somewhere only Larry Allen did. that Pace, Munoz, and other Olinemen were very medicocre in comparison.
  24. Don't hit the tree.
  25. Actually this tourney is unique in that each group actually had a PGA pro who was acting as a rules guy. Johnson should have asked him before he went in. But as someone else mentioned the caddy should be fired as he should have known and warned Johnson. i blame him more than Johnson for that.
