  1. I would but BiB likes to play with things that go boom. I just don't like the afterglow I get when he does that. On occassion Bib and the monkey boy eat lunch at a sammich place near my work. Damn good stuff. Except they seem to get sick a lot or have to go to stupid user meetings.
  2. Only problem is he is a military recruiter and needs his car.
  3. Didn't he have an issue with the Borg?
  4. No, No, No. It was last century, so only 100 years ago.
  5. Actually if he goes into work early, before 0630 Woodbridge isn't bad. Shoot up 1 to Telegraph to backlick he can be in the office in 20 minutes. Otherwise he has to wait until 0800.
  6. Quantico's okay. Marine base. Woodbridge is just a big town south of the Fairfax county line. The military built and rented a whole are of houses in there a few years back for just this purpose.
  7. Oh a Seabee. Do you eat out entire chowhalls and walk around looking like a slob still? All the ones we worked with in Japan sure the hell did.
  8. You ever serve? You ever been near a war zone? Are you a member of the VFW? Then STFU, you have no clue what you're talking about.
  9. Lend him your bike.
  10. I know someone at Norfolk who will buy them. Just so he can have backup copies. Of course he maybe back in Iraq loading corrossive nerve agents into harm missles that launch off drones.
  11. Right across from a golf course. I think the coasties flood the damn thing all the time for training though. You may want to consider buying if you can. And BiB's right you may have to look townhouse. But the housing market is going up fast here and with the BRAC stuff not gonna slow down for a while. Quantico is picking up around 5-6 thousand new positions, Belvoir even though they are loosing the hospital is picking up 20,000 new spots and the whole area is realigning and moving a lot of stuff out of the main city areas and down to places in Prince William county. They are building a campus out there. Oh shopping, yeah she can take the back roads to Spingfield Mall, which used to be better, but still okay. Potomac mills is down 95 about 10 miles from Springfield. Out in Fairfax there is more shopping, but it really is a lot more expensive out that way. Oh an the Engineers are putting a lot of guys up in housing in Woodbridge and at Quantico for those working up north. So the commute gets longer.
  12. BTW is the Navy picking up the cost of moving your 7001 tapes of Hulk Hogan wrestling matches?
  13. 30 miles. And I agree. The commissary at Belvoir is pretty good. Couple of decent golf courses, expensive though unless you buy the yearly membership. Plus they run a pretty good set of sports programs for the military familys there. Belvoir has a base vet clinic if that is important as well.
  14. Okay looks like the Franconia one is the Alexandria station. The fairfax one is on Waples Mill in Fairfax City. If I was you I would take the Franconia one near the mall, and live in Lorton. Between 95 and Route 1, you have two direct routes and you have a ton of back ways up there as well. In addition, if you need to get somewhere near the subway, there is a station right there at Franconia, probably less then a mile away.
  15. Hey it's not too bad right now , between about 1 am and 4 am.
  16. Actually with current interest rates you could probably pay around 2000 for PITI on a 450,000 house.
  17. Okay one of them is right near the Springfield Mall. That is right where the big mixing bowl is. Easy to pop on any of the highways and get going where you want. Just don't do it during rush hour.
  18. Wow, the military gives that much for cost of living diff now. Damn when I was in it was about 125. How many children? Ages? Where is the recruiting stations? Fairfax is pretty large and spread out. Alexandria, could refer to the general area that include eastern Fairfax or it could be city only. Alexandria, is very densly populated and very tough to get around. Fairfaax is more spread out and include both inside, outside the beltway, and includes routes 1, 95 and 66. Getting over/through these major highways is basically a nightmare.
  19. Schools - It depends. For the most part yeah Fairfax has good schools and some great ones Thomas jefferson, but you have to basically apply to go there. There are also some crappy schools in Fairfax. In Alexandria, everyone I know who lives in city limits sends there kinds to private schools, because they can, and they don't like the schools. Cost of living, especially housing is expensive. Sales tax, income taxes are cheaper. Property taxes depends on which city/county. There are areas of Fairfax I won't even go through, makes NE DC look nice. Yes the commute really sucks. Theer are days where you are lucky to go 5 miles in an hour. Again depends on where you are going and from where. As far as living, if you like the country area, think south or West. Stafford, Fredericksburg, Spotsylvania, Mannassas, etc.... There is plenty of subways, virginia rail, and other commuter options, but it depends again, where you are going, when and where you are coming from. If you want, send me a pm with specifics. Company, housing costs expectations, etc...
  20. Can I have a cliff notes to the cliff notes please. j/k
  21. Why do I give two ***** about the Patsies?
  22. Okay let's see. We have a better RB better receivers better safeties better LBers They have better Oline better Dline Push on the corners overall So overall, we are probably very comparable. I am one who thinks line play is very important, and therefore give them more weight then the other spots.
  23. It's hard to choose, On O - Ogden or Mcnabb On D - Peppers or Winfield
