I Don't Care One Iota About This Game....
VABills replied to Bill from NYC's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
5 out of 41 are starting right now. with several more on the cusp. I suspect by mid year it will be closer to 10-12 starting because of injury or worse Oline in front of the depth chart. -

What? All I did was correct someone with facts regarding starting rookie olinemen? I also feel that our oline has looked poor to this point. Did I in anyway say how they will look come regular season? However, you would like to see a glimpse of competance on occassion in preseason. -

Ludes my man, you'll feel better. -
Yes he is. I was one of Bennies biggest supporters, and he was the guy I hoped TD would sign. Anyone can go back through the threads and see that. From the looks of things right now, I was really wrong. Anderson flat out has looked terrible to this point, especially on run and middle rushes. He seems to have some agility to pull block, but otherwise he seems to be getting manhandled.

Way to change your standards, first you said name one that would start for any NFL team, now you change your tune. Of course the other two guys are starting on some above average teams (Dallas and St Louis). What's your excuse there why they should not count. In addition, the Bills Oline sucks. The fact that you discount SF is ignorant at best because we win not because of our Oline but because of defense and ST's. Our oline maybe worse then SF and the fact that they have a rookie starting should show you that we are not evaling oline properly for the draft. -
My comment as well. He's been in the league 6 years, getting better and already been to 4 pro bowls I believe.

Actually these are the only projected starting rookies in the NFL right now. 1st rounders Brown (NO), Barron (STL), Spencer (SEA), and Mankins (NE), have not cracked the starting lineup yet. And Mankins was a G, and Spencer a Center. -

Almost Silent Thread for New Orleans

How bad is the storm surge from the gulf going to be. New Orleans is all ready at/below sea level. This will cause some huge flooding. Seems like that would be more damaging then even the winds from a cat 5. -

Gandy and Anderson were two free agents we signed. -
You mean he had Nate fumble that ball to see how the team reacted. Or Jp fumbled and run backwards from the Bears 3 just to see how the team reacted. Or Willis losing one, wanted to see how the defense would react. Damn, thanks for clearing that up. I thought those were mistakes. My fault it was a genious plan to see how the team was a whole would react to bad situations. Pretty good coaching getting those players to buy into it without letting it out and telling the rest of the team.

If Coy Wire is SOOOOOO BAD,

And who are you going to replace him in a 4-6 run support defense, where that is his prime job? -
Can any of you ever remember a year
VABills replied to Like A Mofo's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
A lot of it depends on the Oline, coaching and JP. If all three are better then last year, and the words from one bills drive is not rhetoric to sell tickets then the Bills are going to have a good year. -

You're gonna compare a multiple Pro bowl safety to a 3rd year second stringer who is switching from is natural position? I too wish we had pro bowlers even at our backup spots but you just can't do it. I feel more comfortable with Wire at backup safety then I currently do with any of our backup Lb'ers. In my opinion, that crew is the bigger problem with why wire struggles. -
Haddad will get cut, and Josh Reed will not

Ahh yes, what a way to select a team. Welcome to your Buffalo Bills, your all time look team. Starting at WR, sporting his porn mustach, even though he sucks, Drew Haddad. At Right Tackel with the belly full of Jelly, Mike Williams. With his obvious RJ surfer dud looks, sporting a red cowboy hat and tight short, Jp Losman. Bowling his way up field now with his lovely pick bowling bowl, Willis Mcgahee. -

Ummm. The safety is thiird level typically 7-15 yards down field. The runner goes past the dline, through the lbers and then gets to the safety. It is also liekly the runner isn't running stright into the safety by the safety has to get an angle on him. So even in run support the safety is no closer then 7 yards from LOS, has to recognize play and then react. So yeah on run support the safety is going to make the play 5-10 yards down field. What they mean by run support from a safety is it allows the Lb'er to commit to a hole quicker and the safety react off the play. Rather then playing deep safety 15 yards down field and thinking pass first. -
Stop, I said 6 wins yesterday and everyone called me gloom and doom. I didn't see us beating Denver or SD, but I do have us beating Houston.

I haven't seen this game yet, but he does have an issue with picking up coverage on receivers. As I have mentioned before, not sure if it is zone and therefore he is correct in allowing the under stuff, but he does get beat on occassion deep. He is excellant in tackling and run support however. Again in the GB game, it was more reception against him, but I still think it was the called coverage. Wires fine as a backup IMHO. -
Looks like Harriet can't keep up over there. Call in the reserves.

We come here today to mourn Vicky. We are elated to see Vicky GO away. And yet you can't help but also sense that he will be back as a cereal advertising character. -
Actually I am the opposite. I will usually standby the field leader. This is a new experience for me. Normally I rag on the running backs. Of course aftr Thurman and before Willis, it was easy. But normally I like our QB's. In fact I am one of the few who liked both Flutie and Rj when they were here.
