  1. In a weird way it feels like a SB, not in the importance of the game of course but in the insane hype around it. With it being the first game of the season and the only game until Sunday, all the networks are talking it into the ground. They're even doing the classic SB stories (which to be fair is pretty easy with this one) around "SB champs vs SB favorites" and "Miller vs his old team". If they do end up in the final game I wonder how much this experience will help the guys
  2. He probably thinks he's being smart too. If Flacco looks awful he can then insert Wilson and anything better will get the team and fans behind him. If anyone questions why he didn't start the season with him he can hide behind the injury excuse. Seen that before, sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't
  3. When Saleh never looks or sounds like he's in control. I was watching a press conference with Miami's own McD the other day and it struck me that despite looking like someone who'd fix your cable he does come across as someone who knows what he's doing and is in control. The results will tell, but Saleh already seems like a man drowning. Wouldn't be surprised to see them go after Payton in the off season
  4. He's definitely trying to jinx us. Someone sacrifice a bucket of KFC to Jobu so we can offset all these bad vibes
  5. It's more the kinds of people who are picking us - idiots who get everything wrong. When Stephen A Smith picks you to win the SB you know you're not even getting past the WC round. Hopefully Skip Bayless insists the Bills are overrated to balance it out a bit
  6. He dipped his toe into the media pool this year so should get plenty of offers for a full time job there
  7. I'm not sure if they're being too clever for me and I've missed a joke or pun
  8. I can feel the excitement starting to grow now (I think it's excitement anyway)
  9. I never pick the Bills to win. The one game I picked us to win last season was against the Jags. Be thankful...
  10. It's a really interesting debate. There's absolutely no denying his defensive genius. The amount of gameplans the guy put together over the years to stop a specific player or high powered offense, when you look at that the guy is just incredible and deserves all the accolades he gets. But yeah, the winning % as a HC without Brady is also undeniably subpar. I also object to people saying he's a genius for picking Brady. They lucked into Brady pure and simple. It would have been the same for us if Peterman somehow turned into a HOF quarterback. If the Pats crash and burn this year and he retires it'll be interesting to hear the debates that will go on for years ("is he really the GOAT?").
  11. Dolphins fans seem pretty convinced this is their time. Check out their forum, it's hilarious
  12. Me over my wife (every year since 2000 we've settled who gets to use the big TV on Sundays during football season with an arm wrestle - so far I'm 1 - 20)
  13. Any news on Duke Williams yet???
  14. This might be the best post this board has ever seen, and it's not even about Edmunds
  15. A lot of guys shine in preseason and then do nothing much when it matters but I'd be genuinely surprised if this guy doesn't end up making plays. He just looks like he belongs at this level, and when you hear him talk he has his head screwed on and sounds like a vet already
  16. Saw this earlier today. It's great. I like Simms a lot and these kind of interviews are far more interesting than appearances on things like Cowherd. I think the fact that he's interviewing him while throwing the ball back and forth probably helps with a more natural talk, instead of just sitting there across a desk or looking at a screen
  17. Chosen Rosen, baby. Let him see one of those 9 mistakes up close and personal
  18. It's worrying but the only way I see it being a major problem is if the reconfigured D line isn't able to get after the QB at all. Elam will give up his fair share of catches but he'll also make a lot of pass breakups in between
  19. It's ironic that he said there were 9 mistakes made ahead of him because pretty soon he'll have been on 9 rosters
