This is genius. He's elite top 2-4 (meaning you think there's an argument for him to be top two), yet he's not showing signs of getting better. Better than 2 is 1 I think. So the only way Allen can be better in your eyes is to be the very best in the league.
I can live with him being number 2 but then I've always been an easy lay
I love the idea of going WR in round 1 and again in round 4. If possible I'd like Beane to package some picks and get into the 3rd round for another recover instead of waiting until rd 4. I'm also willing to bet if this happens the 2nd WR selected will end up having a better career than the rd 1 guy.
I want to play a round of golf with Josh, then lie side by side with him in a bunker and repeat Anakin's lines from Attack of the Clones about not liking the feel of sand
It's funny, the red helmets are totally my era with those late 80s, early 90s Bills legends but looking at them now in comparison to the white, they're pretty awful
At the same time Josh never threw Diggs under the bus for playing like crap in the playoffs (when generally Josh plays great in the playoffs) and more specifically for dropping an absolute dime that would have gone for like 60 yards against the Chiefs.
Here's something that did occur to me. This might seem like an odd example but I do remember when Baker was playing with OBJ, when OBJ got injured Baker's stats dramatically improved because he wasn't trying to constantly force him the ball to appease him. Maybe there's been some of that with Josh and Diggs.
While giving up next year's first makes sense in a lot of ways, I don't see Beane doing that. Doesn't seem his style. And it definitely doesn't seem his style to give up so much to try and engineer his way into pick 4. I could see him swinging something to get into the 18 to 20 range
Let me tell ya something, I love Josh Allen. Ya understand what I'm saying? I LOVE Josh Allen. And if lovin Josh Allen is wrong, I don't wanna be right.
