  1. He was, but the sequel, Naked Knife, caused nothing but problems for him
  2. There are s**t storms and then there's the Raiders and Brown, which are more of a force 5 hurricane. Hurricane Sh*trina.
  3. It's okay here... but I wish they'd get that f****ing schedule sorted out
  4. Even if (horror of horrors) he did retire today, I wouldn't blame Beane. Others have rightly said that many players have injury histories, and the only way to get a big name like that is to outbid everyone else. You just have to pull the trigger and hope you're not unlucky with them. Hopefully we get enough games out of him that it's worth it. If he is going to miss some games this season I hope we have him for the run in, because that looks on paper like the really tough part of the schedule and obviously leads into the playoffs.
  5. Fortunately Kyler Murray isn't tall enough to see over a steering wheel so there's 'little' chance this sort of thing will happen to him
  6. Oh man, they really missed a trick. They should have had him say "now when I leave the house, I can actually see that I need to get dressed first."
  7. Yeah. It really worries me with him. He's obviously VERY susceptible to them and like someone else has said here, we don't know how much he hid symptoms last season because he wanted to get paid. I'm sure people will accuse me of being over dramatic, but if he goes out and gets a concussion early in the season, I think it could be it for him.
  8. I'm loving the overall depth on this team. Still a ways to go on offense - one more offseason should fix it - but even so, compared to last preseason when so many areas felt a bit patchwork, this actually is developing into a good, deep NFL team. When you look back on the dark days of regimes like Jauron or Rex Ryan, this has a great feel about it. I'll be genuinely surprised if they don't challenge for the playoffs this season (rather than being simply disappointed, as has been the case for most of the last two decades)
  9. Yep. I know people hate preseason but it's essential for us to get some other guys reps at C because you have to think Morse won't make it through 16 games (and the playoffs!!!) unscathed
  10. McDermott must have retrieved those naked photos of himself that Vlad kept blackmailing him with
  11. I guess God only watches pre season
  12. Apparently the incident was originally reported to the police by Robert Kraft, who, erm, just happened to be walking past the building at the time
  13. Can't you just hook your TV up to your computer? Picture won't be as great but you can still watch it on the big screen
  14. We're looking down on Wayne's basement. But that's not Wayne's basement. Isn't that weird?
  15. True, even when certain guys (Reilly) shine in preseason it doesn't mean they'll make the 53 Bortles was carried to the AFC championship
  16. when Allen started running I shouted "don't get injured!"
  17. Jesus, Allen's arm is scary strong
  18. Yeah, get Tommy involved early
  19. Oliver got manhandled there, I expect threads of worry from people very soon!
  20. Quick! Someone start another Tasker is Terrible thread
  21. I have Youtube footage of Peterman in last years pre season opener all set to go if and when that happens I'm superstitious about guys looking TOO GOOD in preseason. I think of the mighty Lions who went 4-0 and then 0-16 in the regular season, or Spurrier's offensive machine in Washington running up scores on people and then looking like dog s**t when it really mattered. I'm sure there are lots of examples of great preseasons that have carried over into the regular season but I prefer guys not to look too great when it's all vanilla
  22. I just want to see Allen launch a bomb and Oliver skull f**k and offensive lineman. I'll be happy with that.
  23. Great post. Totally agree. I was thinking the same thing. I actually found that episode quite boring because the players just came across like it was all a big joke. Too many egos. Guys like that are okay when they're winning, as soon as the losses mount up that's when the rot sets in. Gruden just seems like he wants to be one of the guys. He's won a SB so more power to him but I'd be shocked if these guys ended up being a powerhouse this season. And that lazy waste of space from last chance U. You get a once in a lifetime shot and just blow it, such a waste. I much prefer the way the Bills run things. They have guys that like to have fun like Shady and Trey but they're not me first guys and actually act like pros for the most part. I really hope the Bills get to the playoffs this year because news of the culture is starting to spread around the league now and it'll attract more and more FAs with the right attitude to go to Buffalo. I'm actually shocked that Beane was ever interested in that egomaniac AB. The guy is a complete tool and doesn't even have any charisma to make him likeable
  24. Just watched it. Have to say, I really don't like that Raiders team. Bunch of show-boating dickheads. I hope they have a miserable season, especially AB
