  1. Yeah, he's like Robocop when his aiming is off. He needs to stack a few jars of baby food up and start slinging the pigskin at them
  2. He's a rookie, Hockenson had a bad drop against the Packers that would have won it for them. I really like Knox
  3. Tough game, was on the verge of being embarrassing but I'm going to look at the glass being half full and put it down to: Fitz being inspired by playing in his old stomping ground Bye week rust Erm, that's about it. As they say, a win is a win and if we end up 11-5 and in the playoffs, or even beating Philly next week, no one will care about this game. They can actually use it as a good learning experience - don't believe the hype boys and remember that ANYONE can be tough in the NFL. I mean look at the Skins against the 9ers today. I think we take Philly, then it will be interesting to see how they do against the skins
  4. True, but OJ is still the most infamous. There are inhabitants on the island of Tarawa who could finish the sentence "if it doesn't fit, you must..."
  5. I assume if Fitz plays one of his lights out games and they're actually winning at halftime he'll be replaced by Rosen
  6. Where are we now in the team psycho leaderboard? The Pats had Hernandez but I guess we're still top with OJ - he got away with it (ironically such a Pats thing to do)
  7. I agree. It was never a f^%^ing lateral!!!
  8. I see '40 years' and automatically think of the 60s. Then I see it was 1980 and I'm like "***** am I old"
  9. Seriously, if we lose to this sh*t storm next week I will curl up in my dog's kennel out of sheer embarrassment. We better have it won by halftime
  10. I rhink the Dolphins coaches ***** their pants when they scored the TD. Made sure they went for 2 and dialled up an awful call to stay winless. Nice job!
  11. Some people scoff at predictions of the AFC championship game. But when you think that this team SHOULD get to the playoffs this year, given the 4-1 start and the weak schedule, it really isn't so crazy. Even as a wildcard, this is the sort of team who could give much better teams nightmares in the playoffs because of that defense. If Singletary recovers fully and gets more integrated into the offense then a 1 - 2 punch of him and Gore could really sh*t on a lot of teams new years
  12. Not really related to this question but the hypothetical scenario involving a crap team made me think of Dave Damashek's idea for how the number 1 pick in the draft gets decided... a week before the Super Bowl the two teams with the worst records play each other and the winner gets the number 1 overall pick. I'd love that, much better than the probowl.
  13. Don't see the point in this. Singletary looked great before his injury and I feel good about him and Gore together. If we trade for someone I'd rather it was a true number 1 WR
  14. Call me superstitious but I don't want to look past Miami as though it's already in the win column. They're terrible but going 0-16 is HARD to do so you have to believe they have at least one win in them somewhere. Someone on a podcast I listen to had it right: the front office may be tanking but the players arnt. They will be hungry every game they play to get a victory and a bit of respect. Plus they hate us so they'll be revved up to play well. If they start the game well they might believe they can pull a shocker. The key with a team like Miami is to bury them early because their heads will drop quicker than most. A couple of nice long drives to put them in their place and they'll unravel soon enough
  15. Okay so the next 6 games are Dolphins (twice), Eagles, Skins, Browns and Broncos. If you go purely by form we should take at least 4 out of that and, assuming we lose to the Browns and Eagles, we'd still be 8-3 heading into that final run. Now, we could also easily take one or even both of the others, but even if we got one, that would be immense and would also give us some room to have a hiccup against the Skins or Broncos (I will not accept a shock win Vs Miami). Anyhoo, 8-3 would be great and if I were offered it now I'd take it. Rough run in with the Pats, Cowboys and Ravens, but the Steelers look very beatable and the Jets should have fully imploded by then. 10-6 and a wildcard looks well within reach. And all we need is an upset of one of these others and we could get to the 11 wins I predicted before the season! Long way to go but we're getting some breaks and the bye came at just the right time
  16. He'd probably miss his mouth and stuff the joint up his nose
  17. Right, get healthy, sort the offense out, beat the ***** out of Miami and all will be good!
  18. Okay, that was the PERFECT call
  19. There's nothing better in football than seeing your team pound the run successfully to run out the clock
  20. Okay. Now look out for a fake punt then run out the clock
  21. Man, we need this bye week. The team is really hurting
  22. This offense has turned into the Tyrod era offense. Just lifeless and completely devoid of ideas
  23. The Titans kicker was so angry he went to the sideline, went to kick the bench and accidentally hit Vrabel
