No first down on the opening drive. Season's over folks -
McD is a great coach, no doubt. And great coaches are hard to find, like top franchise QBs. If he did leave the Bills and walked into a job with a perennial loser like the Jets or Browns I think he'd turn them around pretty quickly. You could say he lucked into having Josh as his QB but let's not forget he got the Bills to the playoffs in year 1 when Josh was still in college. Our problem is if they did fire him for only achieving the status quo again, we could end up with a guy much worse and then they'll be kicking themselves that they cut ties with him. Part of this comes from having a 17 year playoff drought. If we were a team with a stronger history of winning maybe they'd be more likely to pull the pin but I feel like the Bills as an organisation see themselves as the geeky high school virgin who lucked into getting a hot girlfriend and is too scared to dump her even when she starts to become a pain in the a$$

The Panthers are so desperate for a good quarterback...

When the announcer said "and his wish is" just as it cut to a hot cheerleader dancing, my first thought was "yeah that's my wish too, kid". That's a great thing for them to do. Nice that they didn't just let him play with them but had him signing the contract, signing autographs and stuff as well. They put a lot of thought and effort into it. -
I do wonder how much of this is down to staffs just being more cautious now. Say in the 80s or 90s someone had a sore muscle and were just expected to practice through it, but now they get held out and it gets listed as an injury. Some of that might be why we have such long injury reports now. Obviously certain ones like Shakir and Max don't fall into that category. I'm not sure what other teams look like but I do think if there was a game next week a lot of these guys would play

Training Camp 8/1 - Return of the Blue and Red
RobbRiddick replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall
Apparently not and they never do. I'm sure they used to do play by play with Murphy years ago because I remember listening to it, but maybe that was a different scrimmage. I remember Murphy saying they used it as a tune up for the season just like the players do -
Peterman looked great in camp (and preseason), even Losman had rave reviews in camp one year. Tua always looks great in camp and has his WRs comparing him to the best in the league. As soon as the bullets start flying you see their true colors It happens every year and I love it. Remember Spurrier's Redskins beating up on everyone in preseason and then being terrible when the real games started? Or the Lions going 4-0 in preseason and 0-16 in the regular season? Or a couple of years ago when Pickett looked incredible for the Steelers? I wonder who will be the superstar of preseason this year. my money is on Fields, with Jets fans like Greenberg predicting a sure fire playoff spot

When the Bills make the SB this year, what’s your go to?

I’ll just get naked. sorry thought I was still in the hobbies thread -
I just like being naked

Really nice catch. I feel like with his physicality, if he can build in confidence he'll get more and more bullish in these battles with the DBs and really start to dominate them in these situations. Kind of how the kid at school realizes how strong he is compared to other kids and starts throwing his weight around.

I try to be glass is half full with this. You have to think the Bills win the division and get a home playoff game, even if they're not able to secure homefield advantage throughout the playoffs. It's a long season and I see Hairston getting better and better as the year goes on. Hopefully by the time the playoffs start he's fully in the zone and is beginning to make more and more plays. Early in the season doesn't worry me because this team has shown it can win games then, even with a few holes on the team. If the kid is in the groove by December that will bode really well for the playoffs and that's when he can make some noise.

Of course not, it's getting engagement. That's all that matters these days. As long as people are commenting and sharing it, even in a hateful capacity, it doesn't matter to them. Same reason that Nick Wright guy is so popular. He could be the worst pundit on the planet but his engagement is through the roof because he constantly acts like a p***k.

Bills First Rnd pick in 2025 draft: Maxwell Hairston - CB - Kentucky

Oh my god, great news. My dream of him intercepting Mahomes on the final drive of the AFC championship and returning it for a TD to ice the game is still alive. -

Clearly Brandon Beane just wants an opportunity to tell us all to stop bi*ching -
What sucks the most about the Hairston injury, if it does turn out to be serious, is the speed he was going to give us. That's the part of his game I was looking forward to, especially his recovery speed on deep routes. And if it is a serious knee injury, how will that affect his speed in the future. Fingers crossed the tests are negative

Never seen Tasker as pompous. He's useless but not pompous. Actually he always seems really down to earth and humble, I've never heard him brag about his exploits on the field, and if I was a new fan I'd have no idea he was even a player, just a really bad reporter.

RIP Thunderlips. The ultimate male who once beat the s**t out of the ultimate meatball
