  1. Amazing how Murray allowed Hyde to tackle him there. Drawing the Bills into a false sense of security. Guy is a master chess player
  2. Everyone getting this? Murray is amazing. I hope no one is missing it
  3. This is pissing me off more than any game this year
  4. Jesus Christ, these announcers are on their knees right begging for this to be overturned. Can't have an INT on Kyler's stats! It's the Kyler Murray show after all! Please God, reverse it!!!
  5. You get the feeling these announcers want the Cards to win so they can cream over Murray all week?
  6. Personally, in the second half I'm hoping for more love for Kyler Murray from the announcers
  7. I picked the Seahawks to win big last week so I'm going with Arizona out of superstition: Cards 37 - Bills 20
  8. Despite his reputation as being a man of few words I think he'd make a good analyst. Whenever he turns up on an episode of A Football Life or something and is talking about a player or coach from the past I can't help but be fascinated by what he says. I have to remind myself that I'm supposed to hate him and have thrown things at the TV many times whenever he's been on the screen, because when he's not in Patriots Coach mode he's actually a very interesting guy and obviously has an incredible knowledge of the game and its history. I think it's because he's so passionate about it, it's kind of infectious. He'll talk about some obscure player I've never heard of from the 1960s and I'll find myself hanging on his every word. Sorry.
  9. It's funny you say that because I'd never heard of him either but my first thought on listening to that song was that it sounds like something from the 80s. Luckily I don't care either way as I never watch the halftime show
  10. Another cool stat, JJ Watt just got to 100 sacks, an amazing milestone. Yet Bruuuuuuuuuuuce ended with 200. TWO HUNDRED. He obviously played a hell of a lot longer but there's no way Watt will ever get close to that. In fact his longevity is one of the amazing things about him.
  11. If I can borrow Kay Adams for a season, they can have Josh
  12. One of the things that annoys me in articles and docs about that time is when they say how much tougher the NFC was compared to the AFC and that's why the Bills couldn't get over the final hurdle. It's funny because the Bills dominated the NFC in the regular season. They beat the Giants in a tough game the year they lost to them in the SB and a few years later had the epic no punt game against the 49ers in Candlestick. The 49ers went to the championship game that year. They beat the Cowboys (admittedly Smith was out due to a contract dispute) in Dallas the year of their final appearance. The NFC style of play did lend itself better to the big game, especially since they made fewer mistakes and turned it over less, but so much of the game is mental and after that first loss the Bills were pressing in the big game, almost in a panic, because they knew they couldn't keep wasting their opportunities
  13. Yeah, I remember watching that game and even when they were leading at halftime I had no confidence they'd pull it out. You could see the concentration levels they put in on offense during the first half, to not make any mistakes of any kind, must have been exhausting. When his fumble got returned you could almost see their heads drop and the doubts creep in. They say the pressure of being undefeated gets tougher and tougher as the season wears on, but imagine the pressure of knowing you might be the only team to lose 4 Super Bowls in a row, let alone 3. That must have been unbearable. They could probably see the following days headlines appearing as soon as Thomas fumbled. I just remember the end of the game with Thurman sitting on the bench, head in hands. But to answer the original question, I think if the kick is good there's no way they go to four in a row. Maybe they would have the next year, but the will to get to four, especially overcoming things like the Houston game, I don't think the hunger would have been there if they'd had one or two rings.
  14. put on a curly wig and make love to my wife The fact that she'll be wearing an Allen jersey at the time will be purely coincidental
  15. Well there are plenty of people who ***** on him when he has a bad game. Why not talk about how great he can be when he has a great game?
  16. He can't be reasoned with. He can't be bargained with. He doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he absolutely will not stop EVER until you are beat!
  17. I'd also like to use this thread to vent about the insanity of general sport discussion shows. I was looking for Bills related stuff on Youtube today and it was full of titles like "Stephen A Smith takes a huge ***** on Seahawks!" "keyshawn Johnson calls Josh Allen's girlfriend a ho!" complete with a screen grab of said 'expert' in mid shout. And when you do click on one it's just a bunch of guys shouting at each other for five minutes. I get that I sound old, and I probably am, and I understand how clickbait works, but how about a show where people just discuss sports in an intelligent way. Disagreeing but not screaming? Would anyone watch such a show? There are a few out there that almost achieve this but I haven't seen many
  18. only thing about ESPN that's good is the 30 for 30 docs
  19. "Now I've had the time of my liiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiife, and I owe it all to yooooooooooooooou"
  20. what a game. So happy right now. Just a shame about the injuries but wow, talk about a statement game
  21. Duke Williams in disguise. The guy will do anything to play
  22. Is it just me or does Colbert look a hell of a lot like Dick Vermeil?
