  1. The reason they think that is because they have this perception that Allen was hot garbage (this is a term I've heard a lot when people talk about him) his first 2 years. The idea is that he was terrible for 2 seasons, then came out of nowhere with a great year and will therefore regress. Most Bills fans know different because we actually watch the games. Earlier today I watched the highlights from his rookie year and was reminded about all the things I was thinking back then. Lots of lowlights as well, but the guy had a swagger and intensity from day one that the stat sheet couldn't show. He also improved consistently, then continued that trajectory during his second season, then obviously his third. And as I've said many times, people need to see who he was playing with on offense during his rookie year. Zay Jones, Benjamin, Deonte Thompson. Robert Foster, Vlad Ducasse, Russell Bodine, John Miller, Jordan Mills. That line, with the exception of Dawkins, was horrific and yet the guy showed enough poise and potential that you could see he was going to be a really good one once he got more experience and a better supporting cast.
  2. I'd have to look at his stats but from memory he was Hall of Very Good. I've had this problem for a while now, a lot of guys get in who I don't think should, but that's just me. I think the HOF should be the absolute best of the best, the real legends, if that means less people going in so be it. The one that always comes to mind and has caused many arguments with me and people in bars is Kurt Warner. Very good player who had some great seasons and a great story, but to me, over the entire course of his career, he wasn't quite HOF. Now I know lots of people will disagree with that and that's great, but it's one of the reasons I think the HOF has become devalued a little
  3. First thing Monday morning I'm going into my manager's office in my Josh Allen jersey, picking up the picture of his family from his desk and throwing it, football style, out of the window. Then I'm going to mimic one of Josh's TD celebrations and demand a contract comparable with that of Allen's.
  4. He makes a nice error in this clip, saying Josh has only been to the playoffs once.
  5. This is genius. When it got to McDermott clapping I nearly pissed myself
  6. That's still one of my best Allen plays. The way he just flicks the ball because he's about to get popped and it still goes like a missile.
  7. Coincidentally Josh Rosen also signed an extension today. Here's the exclusive details
  8. Does anybody know Josh's address? I have an important letter to send him about how I've recently lost my job and am struggling to look after 5 children as a single father. I think he'd like to hear
  9. Did you see the 30 for 30 short they did about the Walker trade? Fascinating. You have to give Johnson credit, it was a genius move to get all those players for one guy. Though I was shocked the Vikings never realized that the Cowboys would just cut the players they sent them so they could be turned into 1st rounders. Also, the whole draft trade value chart came about because of JJ. He worked it up for that draft and then everyone copied it. Such an amazing job of building a team so quickly, especially before FA
  10. They could have at least waited until halftime of the first game
  11. I'm sure diggs will run one route and spend the rest of the game flossing
  12. Apparently he bought a box of 1000 face masks 3 months before Covid was a thing. Guy's a genius
  13. 1. This was great to watch 2. Time really does fly 3. Can someone unlock the "what to pour on McDermott when we win the Super Bow'?" thread so I can make a golden showers joke?
  14. I think that's only because he took their snacks home with him
  15. Matt Leinart could have been big here
  16. This is it. Sure, tanking is no sure fix, but we were always 6-10, 7-9, that sort of thing. For me the worst part of the drought was when Jauron was coach. That guy was 7-9 through and through. I remember the team getting beaten up by the pats, basically humiliated and the first thing he did in his press conference was to congratulate them and then talk about how awesome they were. I think I might have thrown something at the TV. Just a loser mentality
  17. Tuel time baby! He seems longer ago than 2013. There's some in there I had hopes for. JP I think would be better now with the offenses we have. He could move a bit and had a hell of a deep ball. The intermediate stuff was what screwed him. EJ I never thought would amount to anything, hated the way he seemed to push his throws towards players, almost like darts. Tyrod drove me crazy with his unwillingness to pass more than five yards beyond the LOS, though he carved out quite the rep amongst the media as being the guy who doesn't turn it over. Trent was good for a short while until he got knocked out and we had fun blaming his regression on the concussion for many years. Drew was exciting for a season or so, then we got frustrated with his cement feet. Van Pelt looks better as a pot bellied sideline stroller than he did as a QB Rob Johnson's best moment was leading us to FG range with one shoe, just before the music city miracle Douglas Flutie was probably the most entertaining out of that bunch. Loved watching him play Fitz was fun and frustrating week to week. He did beat the Pats though. All said it's a lot of crap we've had to put up with. Look at that list and you can see why Allen is so popular
  18. I'm slowly reacclimatising myself to the Bills being good again. It was a shock last season, seeing them beating up on teams and reaching the championship game. It was a great season, so much fun, but for a while I felt like Al Bundy when he has a winning streak and convinces himself the Bundy Curse will soon make him pay for his good fortune. I've now reached the point where I expect them to win regularly
  19. 96 and his balls still haven't d... sorry, wrong guy. Congrats Marv!
  20. I don't need to see a video of Kraft lying there with his eyes clamped shut, shouting "TOM! TOM! TOMMY!" for 2 and a half minutes
  21. Looks easier for sure. Obviously with parity teams can go from bad to good (and vice versa) in one off season. But looking at our schedule my too-early prediction would be: Steelers - WIN @ Dolphins - could see us splitting with them this year, and they'll be out for revenge after the humiliation last year. Although Josh seems to have the Dolphins number more than any other team, so I'll say WIN WFT - Tough D and Fitzmagic. I'll put this down as a loss with Fitz doing his thing in the 4th quarter. Hopefully he has one of his bad games here. LOSS Texans - Following the loss to the Sk... sorry, WTF, sorry, WFT, this would be a disaster with some fans here calling Allen a one season wonder. Surely that can't happen? It won't happen, and don't call me Shirley. WIN. Chiefs - They still have our number, we'll have to take them in the playoffs. LOSS. Titans - Will Henry be throwing defenders into the air again or will the defense shackle him? To me this is a coin flip game, but I'll say we get revenge with some big Allen runs. WIN Phins - WIN Jaguars - WIN Jets - WIN Colts - So many of the issues in the playoff game came from the veteran savvy of Rivers. He's gone now and I don't see Wentz giving those same problems. - WIN Saints - Remains to be seen how these guys do without Brees. They're a well coached team as they showed when Brees was out last year but their QB situation is a huge ? right now. WIN Pats - This is a tough one to call. Lots of opt outs back and big FA signings. I'm hoping they implode once again and when we play them they've already given up on the year. But until I see that happen I think they'll have a bounce back year. I think we split with them, losing at home and winning in Gilette - LOSS Buccs - Brady owns us until we prove he doesn't. He's the antichrist and I refuse to bet against him because I think that only increases his power. LOSS Panthers - A nice reunion for 89% of our roster! WIN Pats - WIN Falcons - WIN Jets - Will we be resting players again at some point in a meaningless game? If that happens and Wilson win, SAR I spends the next off season pointing out how this game is proof that the kid will own us from now on. I think we'll need this game and will go for it. WIN I'll now count the wins and losses to give me a final record (that's how it's done apparently) Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating Calculating 13-4 I've probably been too generous in some places - will we really beat the Colts and the Titans? I might change my mind before the season and put one of those down as a loss.
  22. The Bills are on the precipice of an enormous crossroads
  23. I just googled it. This is his personal trainer
