  1. Feel a bit sorry for Bledsoe. He was a real savior to NE fans after so long being irrelevant. He got them to a SB, had good numbers for them and would probably be a legend there. Then he gets injured on a freak play and gets replaced by some unknown who ends up being the best ever. I remember that Vikings game so clearly. Nearly 20 years ago! Crazy. I was going nuts at the end there. Over 450 yards passing. I might have to go and watch the highlights of that now
  2. His first scramble and my butthole will clench harder than a crocodiles jaw
  3. Foles' story is amazing. From Super Bowl MVP, out duelling the GOAT to the situation he's in now. Ah well, in the words of Madden, they can never take that away from him.
  4. Yeah, there was something depressing about hearing them, especially late in the season when we knew the playoffs were once again out of reach. I know I sound like a grouchy old guy but I do miss so many of the old announcers who are no longer with us. Dick Enberg is an obvious one (loved him, to me he is the voice of the NFL, not Pat Summerall) but also Charlie Jones, who will live forever as the guy who called the Bills Oilers game ("you gotta love it! Unless you're in Houston!")
  5. This is great, nice to see Basham more up close
  6. I posted this on August 2nd so I'll just paste it in here so I can see how wrong I was at season's end. Steelers - WIN @ Dolphins - could see us splitting with them this year, and they'll be out for revenge after the humiliation last year. Although Josh seems to have the Dolphins number more than any other team, so I'll say WIN WFT - Tough D and Fitzmagic. I'll put this down as a loss with Fitz doing his thing in the 4th quarter. Hopefully he has one of his bad games here. LOSS Texans - Following the loss to the Sk... sorry, WTF, sorry, WFT, this would be a disaster with some fans here calling Allen a one season wonder. Surely that can't happen? It won't happen, and don't call me Shirley. WIN. Chiefs - They still have our number, we'll have to take them in the playoffs. LOSS. Titans - Will Henry be throwing defenders into the air again or will the defense shackle him? To me this is a coin flip game, but I'll say we get revenge with some big Allen runs. WIN Phins - WIN Jaguars - WIN Jets - WIN Colts - So many of the issues in the playoff game came from the veteran savvy of Rivers. He's gone now and I don't see Wentz giving those same problems. - WIN Saints - Remains to be seen how these guys do without Brees. They're a well coached team as they showed when Brees was out last year but their QB situation is a huge ? right now. WIN Pats - This is a tough one to call. Lots of opt outs back and big FA signings. I'm hoping they implode once again and when we play them they've already given up on the year. But until I see that happen I think they'll have a bounce back year. I think we split with them, losing at home and winning in Gilette - LOSS Buccs - Brady owns us until we prove he doesn't. He's the antichrist and I refuse to bet against him because I think that only increases his power. LOSS Panthers - A nice reunion for 89% of our roster! WIN Pats - WIN Falcons - WIN Jets - Will we be resting players again at some point in a meaningless game? If that happens and Wilson win, SAR I spends the next off season pointing out how this game is proof that the kid will own us from now on. I think we'll need this game and will go for it. WIN 13-4 I've probably been too generous in some places - will we really beat the Colts and the Titans? I might change my mind before the season and put one of those down as a loss.
  7. Stammer sufferers everywhere are happy to hear this
  8. RIP Duke. You carried yourself with class and grit. I'll never forget you.
  9. Legend has it that our Josh Allen takes three and a half weeks to sanitize his hands
  10. This is tough, like being asked to choose between Mickey or Apollo as your boxing trainer. Mickey was real good, tough as hell and didn't mince his words. He also tried to stay healthy, eating fruit during his training sessions. But then Apollo had some new ideas and put more more emphasis on speed (all Mickey had in that regard was some chicken chasing). Hmmm, all said I think I'll go for Apollo as the man could pull off a crop top like no one else
  11. Fantastic write up. The d line has me really excited
  12. Wow, imagine him and Josh playing pattycake together? They'd cause an earthquake
  13. I so, so, so hope Groot continues this in the regular season. AJ too. Imagine this pair causing havoc all season, allowing us to get teams off the field in those 3rd and long situations, or causing more turnovers and letting the offense have some short fields to work with. The offense was deadly last year but if the defense can really step up they could just blow other teams out of the water on a regular basis
  14. This is great but I always have a little paranoia about kicking ass in the preseason
  15. mitch looking like josh on that run and throw
  16. 2 years ago I really wanted to see the offense in preseason. This year I find myself wanting to D to get back on the field
  17. McKenzie is trying to lose his spot on the roster
  18. I like Singletary hitting the holes with more conviction this preseason
  19. Knox with a drop. TBD will self destruct in 5 seconds
  20. Kumerow with the drop. Get Duke in there
  21. AJ with the pressure and forced throwaway. I like it. Hope this line mugs some teams this year
  22. Horrible Harry with the deflection! Good penetration there by the D line even though Dalton got the pass off
