  1. The offense was humming last year when Brown was out
  2. Wow, this is an incredible read. The part about attendants blocking the door with carts is pretty chilling. My nephew who was just a kid back then, asked me at the time why they didn't have locks on the doors and I said people just didn't comprehend that people could do that sort of thing. I read an article that said up until 9/11 crew were always ordered to never try and stop a hijacking as a vast majority of them would end without civilian casualties. You'd obviously know more about that than I do
  3. Incredible recollections, thanks for posting that. I've heard bits of that broadcast and the documentary they made about it a few years ago. They were saying how different to the news stations it was, as Howard was just saying what he thought without having to remain impartial
  4. Not sure if this is allowed here, I'm sure the mods will move it for me if not. As it is almost 20 whole years since that day, and since I'm fascinated by the whole thing, I wondered what people here (at least those who were alive/old enough to remember) where they were and what they were doing when they heard about the attacks or saw them unfolding on TV. I had taken the day off work and was doing some work around the house. I put the radio on to listen to some music while I worked and soon after the breaking news came on. I spent the rest of the day in front of the TV in a strange sort of shock, like the whole thing wasn't really happening. People saying certain experiences feel like dreams can be a little cliched but that's one of the few times when I experienced that feeling. Oh, and I haven't asked this question to cause a political debate on what happened after. There will be lots of threads in the other forum for that. I'm just interested in hearing how you experienced that day, wherever you happened to be. And on an NFL note, if you haven't seen it I'd recommend the NFL Timeline documentary about the whole debate that went on that week around whether the weekend's games should be cancelled.
  5. I like Simms a lot but I really like Cosell. I listen to him each week on the Ross Tucker podcast. There's no BS or hot takes with him, he just talks about what he's seen when breaking down film and is modest with it. I wish more guys in the media were like him
  6. I just listened to it and yes, Greeny managed to manipulate Jim into talking about Zach Wilson by asking him if this QB class could be better than the guys from 83. Nice work Greeny.
  7. I haven't seen it. How long does it take for Greeny to start talking about the Jets?
  8. Mac Jones found Brady's old Exempt from Physical Contact by Order of NFL Officiating Office badge. It doesn't expire until 2037 so Bill doesn't need a backup for a while
  9. Ironically I've spent much time thinking about the Ertz situation while in bed
  10. I'm just drawing you a new rocket but I can't get the engines right
  11. If Joe Namath and Johnny Unitas are the most QB sounding names ever then Logan Woodside has to be the least. It sounds more like an exclusive kids camp
  12. I think the plan is to wait until our championship game rematch against KC and just rush 11 guys at Zed Mahomes until he breaks his head again
  13. Oh Lord. I do not miss those days at all
  14. Please don't tell me the last year and a half of Bills football was just a dream
  15. More since the Bills have been good. Back in the Jauron era I was only watching the Bills, then would spend the rest of Sunday crying and drinking. For a while I thought I was growing tired of football. Now I realize I was just tired of the ***** I was having to watch every week
  16. No way would Kraft allow a pervert to be on his te... oh never mind
  17. We're like the old couple at the beginning of UP, breaking that savings jar open every year thinking there will be plenty of years to come, not realizing time is always running out. I wish I had a more macho film analogy than that but I really don't...
  18. NOBODY'S got AIDS, and I don't wanna hear that word in here again!
  19. I hope Jones is terrible in the real games
  20. I still have PPAWS (Post Pats A*s Whooping Syndrome) so I'll reserve judgment until I see him fail two years in a row.
  21. Yeah, the second game against us was embarrassing. He was throwing them into the turf
  22. It's an interesting point. Right now if you were to ask people around the league I think they'd give more credit to Daboll because it's the offense that scares people and because of the work he's done with Allen. McD, because he's a defensive coach, is obviously associated with that side of the ball, and the defense hasn't been dominant for a while. Though he and Frazier have come up with some excellent game plans from time to time, particularly against Lamar. The way they completely shut him down in the playoffs was incredible. Of course McD's thing is the leadership and culture he brings to the table. You can't say too much about the way he's transformed the mindset of that team and the perception of it around the league
  23. Meet the new Vice President of NFL Gambling Debt Collections
  24. Will be be, erm, prowling the sidelines every week? If so will he wear street clothes or his court suit?
  25. It's a great division for coaches. Salah obviously has to prove it but Flores I have a lot of respect for and the Phone Buster is obviously arguably the greatest. Then McD is so good other teams are trying to find his clone. Salah I feel was picked because they see him as a McD type guy (defensive coach, claps a lot, follicly challenged)
