  1. Henry can do everything. Apparently he's a hell of a handy man as well
  2. Yeah I agree. Just saw the Pats score and it brought the hate back to the front of my mind. I just hate them more than anything else on earth. Even more than war or famine Have to say it's nice to see the Bengals with a winning record. Always had a soft spot for them since the Ickey Shuffle
  3. Who to root for: Pats or Jets? On the one hand I despise the Pats but I'm sort of enjoying the Jet meltdowns every time Zach Wilson drops another turd
  4. The issue I see with releasing private emails and allowing their contents to be judged based on how offended the public happens to be is that being offended is such a subjective thing. Let's assume there are emails between owners and Goodell where they are throwing racial slurs at Kaepernick. That one isn't really subjective (I guess to rednecks it would be). But what about an email where someone says he doesn't believe there should ever be a female head coach? You know someone would be crucified for this and held up as a misogynist. But that could be an opinion where it's not simply black or white. Now for the record I don't agree with this this line of thinking, it was just the first example that came to mind. The problem with society now is that Twitter seems to have a build-in outrage-o-meter which is used to determine whether something justifies a punishment, and that's pretty troubling to me at least.
  5. Ah, I was just about to begin this thread. Some good games this week so I'm looking forward to having a look around the league to see what's happening. Chiefs-Titans is a big one. Will the Titans play like they did against the Jets or like Monday night? I hope they do well because I can't be bothered hearing all the talk about how a heavy KC win means we are overrated (even though we pounded KC). Will Zach Wilson look better after a week's rest or will Belichick give him another nightmare? Bengals-Ravens is another big one. Most people have Cincy down as a paper (Bengal) tiger so we'll see how they do in this. I think this will be a good game. Lamar has never lost to them, can he keep that streak going? Cards look certain to remain undefeated... or can the Texans pull off the shock of the season? Probably not but I'd enjoy it as I'm sick of all the Kyler love. Goff Vs his old team. Stafford against his old team. How strange. Goff was called out by his coach last week, will he go out with even more motivation and get them their first win against one of the NFC favorites?
  6. Jesus Christ, how many times do I have to say it. I was drunk and have no idea how I ended up in Josh's bed. I was as surprised as he was when he got home and woke me up. Like I told the cops, I was only naked because the covers were so snug.
  7. Yeah, I mentioned this a few weeks ago in one of the threads. It used to be a big deal when a QB led his team down the field in the last two minutes (remember Elways Drive against the Browns, or the one he engineered a few years later against the Oilers in the WC round to set up a winning FG). It's become a thing now where if 30 or 40 seconds are left on the clock and a FG is needed you just assume the team will get into range
  8. It's amazing how things get questioned after a loss
  9. I said after we beat KC that I thought they wouldn't lose many more the rest of the way. That looked to be majorly wrong at halftime against the Skins but they got it together in the second half. They do have a really tough stretch coming up, but if they manage to beat a majority of the tough teams they play they'll have a distinct advantage once the playoffs roll around in that they'll be battle tested. One thing about our soft schedule that worries me is if we have it too easy and then get a shock in the playoffs when the really tough games begin. Still, I'd rather have the schedule we have because I want that number 1 seed and homefield. But I do think if KC manage to secure a playoff spot they'll be so, so dangerous
  10. Well they lost by 3 points so of course some people will think his picks all suck. If they win after the bye week his picks will be mostly great again. I'm surprised Allen is still a good QB after he failed to get the first down
  11. My glass is not only half full, it has a little umbrella sitting in it and a few olives rolling around the base of the glass. (I drink at the Blue Oyster)
  12. The Frenchman is bad enough
  13. Sorry, but the panic some people have makes me laugh. Every SB winning team, bar the Phins, have lost at least one game during the season. It happens. The Titans played a hell of a game offensively, one player in particular, and even then we still were a couple of yards from winning it. If we had people wouldn't be panicking, even though that wouldn't have changed Henry's yardage and TD totals. We lost a heartbreaker to the Cards last year and used it to go on a run. We can do the same here. Now if we lose to the Phins I will join you in panicking
  14. I'm throwing no shade on Allen in this one. That Titans pass rush was coming at him consistently in this game and he took some rough hits yet kept getting up and making plays.
  15. The thing is with a game like this, if we win there at the end everyone is positive about the game Josh and Beasley etc had, but with coming up just short there will be a lot of fans going OTT in the negativity. I don't feel terrible with that loss. I'm disappointed and drained but Josh had some great plays and the Titans got really lucky with a lot of things that just went their way. Henry was the whole offense for them and he was due a great game against us, I had a feeling he would with all the talk of how McD had always kept him in check. Great teams use this stuff as motivation and learn from it. Hopefully we come out of the bye week angry rather than flat and put some teams away. And if we play the Titans again in the playoffs the defense steps up and learns from their mistakes. I'm not usually a glass is half full guy but today I'm leaning that way
  16. Surprised they went for it but McD probably thought if they got the ball first in OT they'd march and win. Great game for the neutrals and tough for us to lose but you're not going to win every game and the Titans are a tough team when motivated. I'm pissed but think the team will learn from this to improve
  17. I know exactly what happened, I watched it happen. I mean if Flutie had started I don't believe it ever would have come down to that kick. We had a great D that year and I think Flutie would have helped generate more than 16 points. I give Johnson credit for leading that final drive, even losing his shoe in the process, but he never inspired the offense around him like Flutie did
  18. I agree about certain team's fans but not the Pats. Those bandwagon glory holes, erm, glory fans deserve years and years and years of no playoffs and zero football happiness. Call me petty but every time they lose a my smile grows that much wider
  19. Hmm, I'm sure this guy is a tool but this just seems a case of someone being stupid rather than disrespectful. It's just your standard social media moron being so fixated by their next upload that they're not even aware of the world around them. Same reason these idiots fall off cliffs and the tops of buildings trying to get a cool picture of themselves. Man I sound old
  20. Baker what the hell are you doing
  21. Belichick junior looks like he should be running around with a club in his hand
  22. Another thing that seems so different now is it appears like every time a team needs a FG and there's a minute on the clock, they seem to move into range with ease. Again, maybe my view of the pass is skewed but it just seemed harder back in the day to have a game winning or game tying drive
  23. I think I would enjoy watching him play but the hype just pisses me off. Same with Lamar. Every time they run for a 3 yard gain the announcers tell us what a miracle it was. Maybe other fans feel that way when Josh is playing, you don't notice it as much when it's your own guy
  24. Yeah remember the old days when it'd have to be the last possession of the game or 4th and inches for coaches to go for it
  25. Vikings are masters at finding ways to lose
