I haven't seen this posted, if it is please delete blah blah etc. Josh on Brandt's basement today and they showed the video of Allen's hurdle when he played in junior college. I'd seen the picture of this when he's in mid air many times but had never caught the video footage. Truly amazing. Maybe it's been widely available and I've just missed it. If you've never seen it, it's at 35:19. His comment about the linebacker is great as well

I just came here to post this! This needs more views. Great, great video. McCown is really good at these. I like the way he keeps saying "if this is Josh McCown playing I'm taking the check down"

Lions are top of the list for me. At least in the NFL. They're even above us if you look at it objectively. Haven't won a playoff game since Barry was playing and have never (at least in my years of watching) had a genuinely great team.

It's a really great story, but being the immature man child I am part of me was thinking how funny it would be if it ended with them throwing the old geezer through a table.

They mentioned something on WGR a couple weeks ago and it was something I never realized. His rushing stats in the first half and second half of his rookie year and hugely different and really show how they benefitted his game overall. I guess a big part of it was that teams had to respect it and that gave him more opportunities in the passing game, plus as we see now he's a maniac and seems to play better after he's broken someone's ankles or trucked them. Pre-injury he logged rushing numbers of: 26 32 39 19 19 20 Then... after he came back from injury he did this: 99 135 101 16 30 95 Also, looking at the stats now, he threw for 200+ yards only once pre-injury, which was the chargers game when I guess a lot came in garbage time. Post-injury he topped 200 5 times. 200+ yard games aren't anything to rave about but it shows his improvement.

The early games look pretty bad. Might take a look at the Giants as I haven't seen them much so far. I think the Jags will win that one. Titans/Colts should be interesting too. I guess the Packers game will be interesting purely because we play them next, so I wonder if they'll simplify the offense as Rodgers wants, and if they do will they improve much? 49ers/Chiefs should be good. Hopefully the 9ers can hand them another loss and put them even further back. I'll also be interested in the Jets and Phins games. The Phins is more intriguing because of Tua coming back. A. will he give them back the spark they had before he went down? B. Will he last the whole game without getting concussed again?
