  1. I felt the same. I'll probably watch the start of the game to see if Cincy can pull an upset. Everyone has put KC in the Super Bowl already so they'll be feeling disrespected and will come out super aggressive and fired up, especially on defense. Burrow can put points up against their defense as he's already shown but he needs a clean game and the O-line needs to somehow try and keep him on his feet. Hopefully they've designed some quick passes to Chase hoping he can do his trick of taking it to the house
  2. I've been looking around a few forums from opposing teams over the last few days and it's both surreal and cool to hear them talking about Allen. These guys truly covet him, to the point where Dallas fans on one of their big forums were starting threads after Sunday's game saying how depressed they are that they're stuck with Dak due to his huge contract. I mean Dak is considered a pretty damn good QB by MANY people, and they're sat there wishing they had Allen. Sucks that we lost the way we did but it's great that we have this superstar as the face of our franchise
  3. I'd love us to get a speedy RB somewhere in the draft who is capable of taking it to the house once he hits a hole. Singletary can be shifty but defenses know they don't have to fear speed with the guy
  4. The taste of cool water is that much more satisfying when you've had to crawl through the desert to reach it. I just hope I can reach the cup before the vultures decide to land on me...
  5. I was wondering something similar before the game even started. Not so much Kelly and Marino as much as the Bills and Dolphins. There were numerous times during the Bills domination of the AFC when the Dolphins beat us in the regular season and then lost to us in the playoffs. I remember when we played them in the championship game, in the heat of Miami, and their fans must have thought, this is our time. they're getting old, we finally have home field advantage, it's destiny that Dan gets back to the big game at this stage of their career. Then we went out and beat the crap out of them. I don't foresee this happening with us and KC, but I'll admit it did cross my mind
  6. I didn't think they'd squib it because I've seen plays where it hits a guy halfway down the field and ends up near midfield, but I did think he was going to kick it high and short of the goalline to force a return
  7. Brady would have called head Then Collinsworth would have run out the booth, got on his knees and said "anything you say, Tom"
  8. I get that you're down about the outcome, I feel down when I think about it, but there are no such things as curses. Yeah we lost 4 SBs but what about the teams that have never been there? Are they less cursed than us because they've never had to suffer the agony of losing the biggest game? Or are they cursed because they never got to experience the hope before kickoff? All those years when we never got to the playoffs it was easy for me. I knew we wouldn;t get to the playoffs and could just sit back every year detached from it all and enjoy the games, laugh at the mistakes and hope Brady lost. Once you're a good team and you're getting to the playoffs regularly it becomes something you're invested in again and you open yourself up to the agony of defeat again. But i'd rather be there with a chance than not. I bet Dolphin fans are laughing their a**es off this morning after seeing us lose, but if curses really exist then they're the ones who are truly cursed. A s*** show of a franchise with a sub par QB and searching for a coach again after having two big games at the end of consecutive seasons where if they win they're in, only to get blown out. Maybe I'm becoming more glass if half full as my years advance but I don't feel cursed. i feel damn lucky that we have Josh Allen as our QB, while the Jets feel cursed for taking Darnold. The AFC isn't going to go through KC every year, that just won't happen. We'll have our day eventually and then we'll get 1000 threads saying the curse has been lifted
  9. As I get older I get less down about this stuff. Sure, during the game I'm a lunatic but after I try and look at the positives while reminding myself that it's not a massive deal in the grand scheme of my life. The positive I take from this is that the entire NFL world has finally opened its eyes to the fact that Josh Allen is a once in a generation player. Seriously, the love and respect he's getting is insane right now, and as someone who has wondered for years why this hasn't happened it's nice to see. Yeah, no moral victories, I get that, but this guy is going to win us a SB, I'm sure of it. In fact I'm already positive that barring injury he wins the MVP next year and gets us homefield advantage throughout the playoffs.
  10. So many fan bases out there think they are cursed. The Jets are cursed, the Dolphins, the Jags, the Bengals, it goes on and on. The Oilers were cursed when we came back from 35-3 down to beat them. John Elway and the Broncos were cursed until they beat the Packers. I'd say, awful loss aside, we're one of the lucky few franchises that has not only a franchise QB but one of the very top players at any position in the entire league. Dolphins fans are staring down the barrel of another season with Tua at the helm, how do you think they feel?
  11. Reminds me of Buddy Ryan's quote after the Eagles fired him after another playoff exit: "I've been fired for losing before, this is the first time I was fired for winning"
  12. I'd love it if they did but I agree that McD wouldn't do it due to different philosophies
