Exactly. Vontae knew he was a mercenary and was hardly here. Obviously, he did not buy into the culture. It's unbelievable that the media continues to take a dump on the Bills for him quitting. Yeah the Bills looked awful through the first six quarters of the year, but what Vontae did was inexcusable.
Eric is right. National media is ignorant and lazy of the actual situation in Buffalo.
It can only be fixed with winning, something this franchise has been unable to do consistently. I think fans need to stop whining about the national media's take on things.

I guess I disagree with the assessment there...

Take away a few rookie mistakes....(interceptions)......and Allen compares favorably. Patriots loss in a weird way makes me better about our loss today....
Wow this is silly...

Brady really does act like a spoiled child... I know they have won a lot of games and SB's, but it seems a perpetually walking on egg shells type of work environment they got going on there.

They cant all be sexy rexy
No, no they cannot lol. I just don't think he is the coach long term, something about his style, players quitting on him etc.

I can't stand listening to McDermott. He just repeats the same trope over and over again.

Hmm, that's not the best response to a valid criticism of the FO lol.

His accuracy might not improve dramatically......
But we have seen in just a small bit of time that his footwork can improve dramatically....which affects mechanics....he looks much better then he did at Wyoming.
The quality of his pass catcher's can also improve....thus improving the completion percentage.
Yeah, I get the difference between completion percentage & accuracy.
Ball placement is the issue. That is talent driven. I don't see that dramatically improving.
Great QB's have very good to great ball placement. Good ball placement requires consistent accuracy, something Allen has lacked all of his career as a QB so far. I don't understand why people think this will get better, magically. It won't.

Matter of time until more and more players start to talk about this regime.
Waiting for Wood to unload, though he might just to too professional to do that
I gotta say, I think there is something seriously wrong with McDermott. He has that creepy religious cult leader thing going on IMO.

Allen's accuracy will improve over time, he made a lot of gimmes look like Houdini-catches
Why do you assume this? I hear people say this, and it doesn't make any sense. If there is one thing that is proven about developing QB's is they typically don't become more accurate. This take I keep hearing is more faith/hope based than factual.

He's inconsistent, just what the pre-draft scouting suggested.

The cool thing to do would have been retiring at halftime.
It's all the rage these days... It replaced twerking.

Winning season? Oh my, I just don't get how this eternal optimism crap works in the face of facts.

I will say one thing about Allen. He doesn't get that deer in headlights happy feet stuff. He doesn't even get the white faced pre-game puke face that Kelly used to get. So things are looking up I guess!

I'm not upset at the actual record, as I had them starting 0-4. What I am concerned about is the decision making PROCESS so far. McDermott being hired before Beane started the ball rolling in the wrong direction from the get go. I think McClappity will prove out to be a failure. I'd be interested to see what would happen if Beane was kept on board and allowed to hire a coach. IMO a lot of Beane's bad decisions in free agency and draft trade up's have a McDermott character before talent stink to them.

His tackling is soft which is pretty concerning for any lb much less a first found mlb. Right now he is thinking too much though. Hopefully the more time he gets, his instincts will start taking over.
I don't like what I'm hearing. Overthinking, timid, soft tackling... Yuck! And they traded up for him too. Their draft trade ups have been **** so far, starting with Zay Jones.

We gave up 3 points in the 2nd half when we gave up 79 points in the first 6 quarters.
The Chargers were up many scores, it's natural for a team to letup a bit when way ahead. That probably has a lot more to do with the defense looking better in the second half than anything McClappity did.

Especially if Josh Allen can develop in the mess.
It's hard to trust the coaches McDermott has surrounded Allen with. If Allen develops it's almost like he has to figure it out himself, that sounds like a complete opposite approach to say what Mahomes went/is going through.

If signing Vontae Davis is a lol to you ( character issues I take it ), then doesn't that go against the notion that he's "too invested in character" argument?
I don't recall Davis having a reputation as a bad character player, quite the opposite from my memory. The fact that he quit on McDermott I think says a lot more about McDermott and his process than it does about Davis.
Davis saw the tire fire/train wreck from the inside. Seems like he decided he didn't want his career to end like that...
OR
McDermott totally mis-evaluated Davis' character. Not sure which scenario is worse. Forgoing talented players for high character and then whiffing on the high character part.

Last year Terry said he wanted to gain the respect of the rest of the NFL. I suppose they did get some for backing into the playoff's, but I don't think they have much respect currently. To all other franchises, the Bills still look bush league.

I think your issue is more with religion than McDermott.
From what I can tell, it is a big part of his decision making process. I think that is a problem when it comes to building a winning team.

Like it or not but much of a coaches job is to babysit talented players that have been treated like royalty their entire football careers. Marrone does that. McD doesn't.
I agree. I do not think what McDermott is doing is the right approach. This is why the faith based part of it annoys me to no end. He only wants a certain type of person (like religions) so they will follow the pied piper (like religions) without too many questions (like religions). You win in this league with talent, not religion.

Yes, Marrone is better IMO. His personality sucks, but faith based McClappity doesn't have the greatest personality either.
Marrone was smart enough to see that Whaley + Brandon = **** show He was smart to get the hell out, look at him now!

Frankly, the coaches should just sit him for 2 weeks and let it heal.
Remember when Fitz tried to play through broken ribs? He didn't exactly help the team for the next 2-3 games.
Even if he sits for 2 weeks, that injury will be lingering for months...
Should have traded him in the offseason (before the Delicia crap), now it's too late, damaged both on and off the field.
McDermott- Highest odds to be fired..

I hear that McDermott is a racist because he benched Tuh-Rod for a white QB and that's why Davis quit at halftime, to protest Kaep style.
