  1. And the irony of it is if you're on a lower-rated broadcast team and frequently cover small market teams without a meaningful national following like the Bills or the Bengals, chances are that most of the viewers in your limited viewing map will know a great deal about the team like the people on this board, so you need to be EXTRA prepared. One day of hard work and a half hour with each coach should be enough to know everything relevant including the name of the long snapper's wife. I live overseas so I get the NFL Gamepass package (not available in the US) that lets me watch any game live or archived. Until this year I would routinely watch the Bills game with the sound from the radio broadcast, which was great, since those guys know everything about the team and love the Bills. This year they "improved" the Gamepass site by removing this option so I'm forced to watch the nincompoops like Gannon. Anyone know if Romo will be doing any Bills games? I think last year he did one of the Bills-Pats games.
  2. And consider this: The Bills have the opportunity to win 2 regular season games in the same stadium (not their home field) for the first time since... wait for it ... ..the 2014 Bills won two games in Ford Field (one against the Lions and one against the Jets when Buffalo was snowed in)
  3. And the last LB or TE on the roster couldn't develop this skill? Used to be that all long snapping was done by a regular player. Are blocked punts down since that changed?
  4. I guess I'll never understand why LS is a profession, but glad to see ours get some recognition.
  5. 84 on the Patriots? I think they cut a guy with that number mid-season once
  6. Bills used to have Bob Chandler hold for the kicker but one time he got hammered on a 3rd down pass play and had to come out of the game, couldn't hold for the FG
  7. And on top of that, I don't remember a team with a 6th round pick and two 7th round picks making the 53. This front office looks pretty smart.
  8. Anyone remember a team with 2 seventh round rookies on the 53? Pretty remarkable.
  9. I thought they'd cut Bojo and just go for it on 4th
  10. I wonder how Daryl Johnson feels about that
  11. Not allowed to leak that either
  12. I'm glad someone finally asked that question
  13. Trade him straight up for McCoy. It worked once...
  14. Damn, there goes my fantasy team
  15. He essentially took 2 guys out of the play
  16. She did the Raiders-Packers preseason game this week. I tried watching it because of knowing the Raiders a bit through Hard Knocks but I had to turn it off. I was so confused by the way they had the field set up, it was really disconcerting. Maybe it would have been too much to expect her to keep clarifying that the "end zone" started at the 10 yard line. If I'd watched that game to the end I think vertigo would have set in.
  17. I had to look up who #88 was on buffalobills.com https://www.buffalobills.com/video/isaiah-mckenzie-rushes-in-for-touchdown
  18. My favorite was when TreDavious White went down, and Green said "the Bills have already lost Levi Wallace tonight." Never mind that Levi was not only on the field at the time, but right in the frame standing next to TreDavious.
  19. I've had different but equally serious problems with GamePass this year. I live overseas and have subscribed for several years. Other than the very first year, when the streaming was so haphazard that they actually gave everyone a partial refund, I've been pretty satisfied. This year, though, with the move to the new platform, I had a series of major problems. I watch on a Windows computer connected to a HD projector and get a 105" picture which makes my basement the best sports bar in the country. But as of last week, I was unable to load the GamePass site. I would go to the URL and it would be "loading" and would get stuck there. I wrote to their tech support and got a canned response by email telling me to clear my cookies and cache and everything would be OK, or if that didn't work to try a different browser. I did it with no success, and tried Chrome, Edge, Firefox, 3 other Windows computers at home and on my office wifi, and also a Mac. None of it worked. Then I tried to download the Android app figuring I could buy a Chromecast and watch that way, but the Play Store says that the app is not available in my country (even though the nfl.com site specifically lists my country as one where you can download it). I wrote repeatedly to their tech support with no response, then suddenly on Wednesday I tried again and was able to access the site! When it came time for me to watch Thursday's game (archived, on Friday morning my time), I got into the site but couldn't get the player to work in Chrome. It turns out that you need to disable Flash (which I need for other streaming applications I use) so I was able to get it running in Firefox and saw the game. I guess that's where I'll see the 2019 season (except for the Eagles game which I'll see at New Era Field!) Now some gripes: 1. They've taken away the quad box. Best night of football ever was watching the Bills clinch the playoff spot and watching the other three games where we needed a result, all at the same time in the quad box. 2. They've taken away the skip 10 seconds forward/backward buttons. Why? This is 2019 for heaven's sake. 3. They've taken away the radio play-by-play option. John Murphy is so much better than the clowns who cover the Bills games for the networks Thank you for listening. I feel better already.
  20. Is route 24-9 anywhere near routes 5 & 20?
  21. I find it hard to imagine that Derek is on the roster week 1. He doesn't contribute anything to the gameday roster and would almost certainly be inactive 16 out of 16 weeks barring injury. It would make sense for the Bills to persuade him to retire and make him a coach. Being a "valuable guy in the QB room" isn't enough to have him stick around as one of the 53.
  22. In the early 1960s, when JFK was president, the Washington Senators had a player named John Kennedy.
