POLL: Which ad are you happier NOT to be seeing lately?
Dan Darragh replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall
Because this post is about commercials that have not been on lately. Sadly, this is not true of the State Farm commercials -
How about Earl Weaver and Tom Lasorda? (Some genius is going to point out that they coached baseball, which is different from football, as if that actually proves a point.)

I assume that Marv Levy's stellar playing career was a significant factor in his hiring.

So the joke's on me, I had no idea who she is and the reason is that I decided long ago that SNL's funny days were in the very distant past. Ignorance is bliss. She's awful. -
Sean Payton on the end of the Bills-Chiefs game
Dan Darragh replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
Didn't we play his team this year? Didn't he review some film for that game? Maybe he was too burned out to do his homework which is why we scorched his butt. -
Don't forget to mention the back to back sacks (and a fumble on the second one) at the end of regulation which added 21 yards to the FG Buttker had to hit.

The last time a Bills coordinator got a HC job?

He was like the 9th guy Cleveland offered the job to. -
Sean Payton on the end of the Bills-Chiefs game
Dan Darragh replied to dave mcbride's topic in The Stadium Wall
What Payton should know since he had to watch Bills film this year is that the Bills kicked short of the goal line frequently and with considerable success all season. It's not a seldom-used technique for Buffalo. There was a thread here back in mid-season that discussed the fact that Bass was using a 3 step approach on some of his kickoffs, and the result was drive starts inside the 25. Payton's just wrong on this one. -

Is Duke Williams next to sign with the Giants?

Thanks to Sean Kirst of the Buffalo news for this article which poignantly described the emotions of a Bills lifer after this loss.

Thanks for this nugget.

Seeing the Titans and the Packers swan dive their way out of the playoffs, it makes you wonder how much the first round bye ("more valuable this year than ever!") is a mixed blessing. Assuming you get through a first round playoff game without serious injuries, I think there's a lot of benefit to having played the previous week rather than having two weeks off (maybe more if your final week game was meaningless) and losing your edge. I wonder what the W-L record is for teams coming off the bye over the years.

Bills Offense is Broken, Sean McDermott Not Sure if It's Fixable What a difference a month makes.

Whatever you say about the injury (and who really knows?) the real point here is that there is NO DOUBT who is the best QB of the 2018 draft. Lamar was a good move by Baltimore at the end of the 1st round but he's a far cry from Josh. He's still probably the second best QB from that draft but with a huge gap to first.

Upon further review ... Spencer Brown is a BALLER
Dan Darragh replied to Dan Darragh's topic in The Stadium Wall
OK, OK, plenty of comments about this. I'm amending my assessment from "flattened" to "cajoled away from the QB" No matter what you call it, it worked.
