    I live in Israel, as some of you know. It's not a regular occurrence around here to see anyone wearing NFL gear. But today, around the corner from my house, I saw a teenager wearing a 10 Maye jersey. This really happened. I probably should have stopped the car and given this kid a tongue-lashing but I was just too shocked.

    That was true as recently as a year or two ago; now the preseason games are just glorified tryout camps. First-teamers used to get a sniff of the field in preseason but now they don't get even that.

    Here's what's on my mind: I never noticed that Cook has COOK III on the back of his jersey. Maybe it's new, or maybe it's just because his hair obscures the name plate. But we all know that James has an older brother, Dalvin, and it turns out that there's an even older brother. So if James was the third son, how did he get the Dad's name?
