13 seconds was the effective end of the McDermott experiment. He could have salvaged it by coming clean on what happened and owning it but now it's too late. I'm beginning to think "13 seconds" will rival "wide right" in the pantheon of Bills pain. At least "wide right" was in a SB.

And the taunting penalty! These big tough football players can't take it when someone points at them? Do they need a safe space with coloring books and stuffed animals? The NFL treats taunting worse than unnecessary roughness. Two taunting penalties and you're ejected.

Every time I post something about :13 I get flamed, but I think that Sean lost this team and the fan base in those 13 seconds and in his complete and utter failure to own it. He fired the special teams coach, that's it? Good coaching leadership could have prevented the window from slamming shut in the aftermath of that debacle. But with Sean, all he talks about is "complementary football" and "getting the offense in a rhythm." COMPLEMENTARY FOOTBALL? WTF DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?

Until Sean owns 13 seconds, he'll never have the full confidence of the fans. I wonder if he has the same problem with the players. Time for some transparency and some accountability.

So the consensus seems to be that Beane shouldn't be fired this week.

I like a different approach. When I was a kid, the International League had baseball teams in Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, Montreal and Toronto. I think that's the way the NFL should go. Throw in Ottawa and Albany for good measure.

I remember that game. I got disgusted and turned it off, then later I turned it back on just in time for the Hooks play.

An actual thought that I had when it looked like the Bills were about to hand a win to Tampa Bay: "If we lose this game, reading TSW is going to be especially entertaining." So thanks, guys, you're the next best thing to an easy win.
