FIVE years??? How soon they forget. I'm still pissed about losing to Kansas City at home on 1/1/67 for the right to play in Superbowl I. We LOST TO THEM AT HOME in the playoffs AFTER BEATING THEM IN KC during the regular season. Good thing that never happened again.
I may be dumb but it seems to me that if I was managing a franchise worth $5 billion I could get up at 3 in the morning once a year to cover this off. In fact I AM dumb - I can't count the number of times I was up at weird hours or took all night flights in coach just for my crappy little career.
I tampered with a girl named Penny when I was in 11th grade. She'd never been kissed but there was an awful lot of pent up energy there if you know what I mean. Fortunately I never had to find out if her father owned a shotgun.
I remember when the news broke that Ralph had signed Joe Cribbs to a unique contract paying him $250 per rushing yard. Except that Ralph came out and said that's not true, it's $25 per rushing yard.

You may clap, rap, tap, slap but
Snap... makes the world go round.

I routinely get flamed when I write this, but this thread proves my point: Until McD comes clean about the coaching meltdown in the 0:13 game, the franchise will never get over it.
