  1. The whole defense is not ****. The secondary, especially the safety corps, is salvagable. You need one more dependable starting CB opposite Tre and they’ll be okay for a few years. otherwise...yeah you’re right it’s pretty bad.
  2. Agreed. Moon nailed it. Problem is these tricks that McD always goes back to still work around here, because we’re still surrounded by rubes entranced with that fantasy of ‘old school football.’ It’s why people here, to this day, advocate “pounding the ball”... as if sticking with rex ryan’s version of offense is going to work any better now than it did two years ago. Check your calendar old timers, and check yourselves.
  3. I already named one bro. I’m not doing basic googling for you. Do it yourself then apologize for being ignorant. There were elite linemen available last offseason.
  4. Nothing on OL???? Never heard of Norwell I guess.
  5. Trust the Process is a slogan. It’s nothing. It isn’t even original. It’s the football equivalent of “make america great again.” It’s empty language and we’d all do well to start ignoring it.
  6. Good on you bro for being optimistic. I can’t hate on that. If they actually give Allen a whole game anything can happen.
  7. But Allen has done nothing to contradict that feeling that we DID screw up...yet. Let’s all hope you’re right, for our collective sanity’s sake.
  8. But your handle? So confused...? i completely agree btw.
  9. Yup. Some people around here get pretty bent when the Bills take corners early in the draft, but they are ESSENTIAL. In today’s league they may be the most important position on the team besides QB. Ignore that, and you end up getting beat by 40 week in and week out.
  10. This. Declaring he already “is” very good is pretty ridiculous. He is still a little bit further along than I’d thought he’d be (which is to say, not very far along at all) but there is basically nothing to judge on at this point besides preseason and a half of garbage time. Even granting all that, however, Allen probably still give you a better chance to win than Peterman. Which is an indictment on Beane and McDermott more than anything else.
  11. I think you’re thinking of Taron. Who played well! And then got hurt.
  12. Another guy taking up a roster spot that is going to end up being a liability not an asset.
  13. Mahomes looks pretty good so far. I wonder about that...
  14. Agreed. Very nice to see him make some splash plays; still needs to get more consistent of course. He’s the least of their worries.
  15. I mean Kaep has his Nike money anyways but I’d still swap Peterman for him in a heartbeat.
  16. Okay. So which play? Can you narrow it down at all? Just want to go back and look at it Bama not trying to call you out.
  17. Well that’s just mean.
  18. Which play was that? The end of game heave with 2-3 guys around Foster?
  19. You’re probably not the average fan though. And I bet against the Bills today whereever I could; not under any illusions. But I also wasn’t exactly expecting the 2nd worst beatdown the team has ever received.
  20. Oh I blame ownership as well and you’re right - the floundering hockey team is a good example.
  21. Yes we agree. Just want to see something somewhat competitive. Okay to lose this year; don’t want to see a laughingstock. Casual fans will check out. We masochists will still be around, of course.
  22. Depends how much rope JO has had in structuring the contracts. I wish they would have cleared him out too, but it is hard to determine how much autonomy he has had in contract specifics from the outside looking in.
  23. True but if they lose like this week in week out it is still a disaster. Most fans will check out. Indy was pretty terrible last year but lost a lot of games due to an inability to hold leads. This doesn’t look like an Indy situation.
  24. Nah this is on Beane.
  25. Strawman. He was promoted to start in the middle of a playoff run over a competent veteran starter. He would have started more games if coach say-nothing could have found even a sliver of justification for it amidst Peterman’s voluminous suckitude.
