  1. The two top choices in the questionaire are right. I went with Shakir because I get the impression that he’s been there before and isn’t going to fumble or do a dangerous flip or get his hair ripped out or who knows what? Unfair analysis by me on Cook? yeah prolly.
  2. Congratulations to the best Bill ever. I’m sure his new to be wife is a great gal. I just hope she doesn’t get any ideas of taking him home to L.A. to be with the cool kids. Beane better up his timetable to (now) on the Josh Allen contract extension.
  3. Why not (hockey it up) and put on a top crossbar? Move the extra point kick back to the 2 yard line, put the fake back into the game. Use old time hash mark system to position the ball where runner crossed the goal line, (extra point use only) making kickers do angle kicks again. While I’m at, the new kickoff rule is pathetic. Put it back where it was and make the kick teams wear guardian helmets.
  4. I watched a few Dolphin podcasts yesterday after the game. I thoroughly enjoyed the frustration of the Miami fans. The topic of this rivalry has been covered in this space before. I get that but, as a fan from the early 60’s, I am not certain the younger fans on this site fully appreciate how bad the 0 - 20 seventies were. Believe me, the Dolphins rubbed it in big time. We’ve still not caught up. A quick historical search shows the Bills down 62 - 60 - 1. The ‘70 games and the Josh Allen era (flip) are so similar. The Bills outplayed the Dolphins in several of those games, especially in the mid to late 70’s, after their big team began to age out. Next year we even it out. In the meantime, no football sympathy, no hoping for the underdog allowed. They had Griese, Warfield, and Csonka. We got Josh Allen. Go Bills.
  5. This is all in Bass’ head. Maybe we can trade Wegmans 10 bucks for some vitamin B pills. He needs to settle down, cool his jets, and kick the freakin’ ball. It doesn’t help that plays in a wind tunnel.
  6. No. Did the Bills just move to the Spring league? Ditch the red ones too by the way. The blue on blue too… Red helmets can come back though, with the road white on white.
  7. To me this looks like an opening for the onside kick. The kicker drops a slow curve over the receiving team’s head and it’s an advantage to kicking team to recover the ball.
  8. Next year. If you don’t think so, go join 2jetsdrive. I was at the Y yesterday, and guys were talking about the game. I said ‘you guys are doing better than I am, at least you can talk about it.’ Have to let it go. We have the best qb I’ve ever seen in a Bills uniform. He runs the table but hasn’t dropped the 8 ball. Next year.
  9. Dang, how long has it been since Ralph allowed Bills home games on tv? At first they were not on at all, sellout or not. (Back in the day we went down to the KofC to get the feed out of Erie with their big antenna.) RCW jr then said ok for home game tv if they were sellouts (3 days ahead of time..) I think it took an act of Congress to get him to relent. I’m a boomer for sure.. but maybe we’re a little spoiled. If I really want to watch it I’ll find a way to stream it.
  10. If they ever bring back the red helmets as the alternate look. It must be stipulated that they may only wear them with the full white jersey and pants.
  11. Ok.. ok, the point I was trying to make is we have a qb who has abilities far and above mere mortal men. He can make a throw like that.
  12. Sneak someone out the back door. It would work. Especially in a night game where the ball gets lost in the lights. Thanks for the comments on my first post. Happy Holidays.. Go Bills.
  13. It seems a crapshoot. It could be a weapon of note with Allen’s cannon.
