Week 1: Steelers at Bills
PetermansRedemption replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’m shocked, shocked I tell you. This was about as good as when Tom Brady hurt his thumb and has it overly wrapped in every media session. -
I’ll always remember arguing with my friends during that playoff year that the Bills got to the playoffs in spite of Tyrod rather than because of Tyrod. He will always be a boat anchor in my mind. Just because he was the QB during the drought breaking season doesn’t mean he was anything more than average or below average. Good work if you can get it!

Josh Norman signing with 49ers

I hope they don’t play Tennessee this season. Henry is not kind to that man. -
Josh Allen #10 on NFL Top 100
PetermansRedemption replied to Big C's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can’t watch the video right now. But judging by the caption, someone actually thought Julio Jones would be number 1 next year?! Isn’t he like 80? Name recognition only. It’s a wholly inaccurate list based on a very small subset of players who actually participate in the survey. I never watch, just see the recap afterwords. -
Have you gotten your tax refund back?
PetermansRedemption replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in Off the Wall
I filed back in February and got my refund within 3 weeks. However, I had to do a minor amendment and am due back an extra $170. Been waiting on that check for months. Did the amendment in May. -
I have no sympathy for him. Always came off as an arrogant prick. My favorite quote of his was during an article in ESPN magazine. He was asked about his family’s wealth and he responded something like “I don’t consider us to be very wealthy”. Guy has no self awareness of anything outside of his sheltered bubble. Never had to work for anything. Complete opposite of Josh Allen and I am so thankful that Beane and McDermott could see that. edit, found the quote for anyone interested. Q:You're a rich kid who -- extrapolating here -- doesn't need, or love, the game of football. A:OK, my family isn't, like, stupid-wealthy. But I'm coming from a place where if football doesn't work out, I don't have to work at McDonald's. Other NFL players had the same opportunities.

This is the only reason I voted 21+ and 31+ for Allen and Diggs. Deserving, no, but I fell that’s where they land.

How I feel watching the QB play of these pre-season games. -
I can’t be the only one who feels this nickname should be reserved for porn movies, right?

😆 I said pretty Much the same exact thing watching the game today. If your Minnesota, what is your sliver of optimism? That Cousins suddenly becomes an above average QB? The Minny announcers were playing up the Mond guy, “the greatest statistical QB in Texas A&M history”. Sounded like the old bills days where we had to try to cling to optimist via below average QB’s such as Nathan Peterman. -
Funny you say that. Every time someone brings up masking or Covid restrictions again, I always think of The Walking Dead episode where Bob’s leg is eaten. They say “Can’t go back Bob”

Why not keep Kumerow
PetermansRedemption replied to dwight in philly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Aaron Rodgers also wanted Randall Cobb, he of 383 yards and 2 TDS his final season in Green Bay. Seems more like he’s power tripping than actually grasping at true talent. -

I don’t see it either. Never should have started even one game last season. Fitzpatrick was far and away the superior QB. This season he doesn’t have Fitz to come in and save him. I saw that Tua averaged 181 yards per game last season. Very Tyrod-esque numbers. Coincidentally, when watching Tua play last season, Tyrod was exactly who I was reminded of as well. -
It’s actually with Scott Hanson. Thought I’d miss Andrew but I don’t even notice.

Sunday Ticket last season was the final straw with DirecTv for me. Not a terribly long customer, about 8 years, but they gave me absolutely nothing. I was on a great credit that was expiring, so my bill shot up from 60 to 120. They wouldn’t even discount me down to 100, nevertheless give me Sunday Ticket. Went through the whole gambit, called multiple times first, then did the cancellation thing, they transfer me to retentions, who offer me nothing. Never got a call from their winback department either. Ended up going to Fubo and paying $10 a month for the NFL Redzone.
