  1. The entire off season with the Antonio Brown fiasco I’ve been saying “I don’t care where he goes as long as it isn’t Buffalo”. I can’t believe it almost actually was Buffalo
  2. Give me TJ Hockenson or DK Metcalf.
  3. As Antonio Brown would say “fake news”. Steelers would just cut him if that was the return for what they give up.
  4. Oh he is far from my ideal receiver. But the free agent crop of WR’s this year is trash, and Williams, the best of the worst, is likely signing with the colts. I really don’t want to overpay for a completely average WR, but we definitely need a veteran in here. With the Carolina connection I believe Funchess will be that veteran.
  5. Lang, Williams, and Paradis/Morse is my dream free agent shopping list so far. If I am entering further into dream world, give me Jesse James, Devin Funchess, and TY Yeldon. Yeldon as a backup RB to spell Ivory and split with a, hopefully, rookie drafted RB. Funchess as a 2-4 receiver. Jesse James as a 2 TE. Go into the draft with your needs on offense as WR, TE, backup OL, RB in that order.
  6. ? Nick Foles incoming. Yes, sign me up for Jackson on the Bills.
  7. Absolutely, it’s a private business, they should be able to employ whoever they wish. Brilliant career move. Agree or disagree with marijuana being legal or illegal, it doesn’t matter. The fact that so many can’t choose millions of dollars a year over smoking weed is absolutely mind boggling to me.
  8. Well, this thread didn’t age well
  9. I don’t hold the Steelers responsible one bit. I’m certain they are absolutely furious at Brown. Steelers fans hate the guy. Before all his antics he would have fetched a minimum of a first rounder in trade. Now they can’t give him away. I’m sure the Steelers wanted to get the Brown headache to Buffalo very very badly.
  10. So, really, that long term contract being signed is more a “long term as long as you are outperforming the contract” contract
  11. Players should stop signing those contracts. I imagine there has to be a clause in the contracts that the team can terminate at any time. If a player sees that they need to re-negotiate the deal. That clause shouldn’t be in there. I speculate it’s a clause in the contract because I can’t see a legal way the team could terminate it otherwise.
  12. I never understood that. But I would assume it’s somewhere in the contract that the team can get out of it? Otherwise how would they not be taken to court for terminating it. In which case the players just need to stop signing non-guaranteed contracts. They shouldn’t get all the money up front, but if they get cut mid contract the team should still have to pay. Unless the team works it into the contract, which, the player can then refuse to sign.
  13. Are most places really that much cheaper than paying $2500 per 100,000 of home value? I honesty don’t know. I just did a quick search and San Antonio, TX is on par with that level. But haven’t looked in any other major markets yet.
  14. Oh, that’s why I think they should be guaranteed for injury. And teams should be allowed to cut a player, but be on the hook for the full contract if they do.
  15. That wouldn’t have been a bad flip. Only problem is the draft gets crazy. I’m sure someone will be available at 9 that no one expected to be there. Then the Bills are sitting at 20.
