Colts sign Justin Houston
PetermansRedemption replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Isn’t there a cap minimum? Are they even going to make it? -
To me, logically, both St John’s and Arizona would be in. This playoff game would be for the 11th seed. The loser gets 12, 12 goes to 13, etc. 16th seed would obviously get bumped then.

I was just wondering today how the seeding works. Wouldn’t it make sense to have a play in game for a 16th seed? How do they do a play in game for an 11th seed. Isn’t that basically admitting that a team (St Johns in this case) isn’t making the tournament while a worse team (a 12-16 seed) makes it?

I just don’t see it with him. I feel the risk is entirely too large. Russel Wilson comparisons are somewhat valid, but he was worth the risk in the 3rd round. The problem for those NFL teams who have Murray as their top QB is they are falling for recency bias. Russel Wilson and Baker mayfield are fairly recent. Teams might not weigh it as them being the anomaly they are, rather than the norm. I have Haskins as my top QB. I imagine many NFL teams would be the same. There is a reason the protypical NFL QB frame exists. Murray will be fighting factors not to bust, he has so many risk factors. By far my top QB in this draft. It isn’t even close as far as I’m concerned. I’ve watched game tape, combine, pro-day and nothing has changed my mind. I think Haskins will have a good career. I think Murray is a bust waiting to happen.

Man, Bobby Hurley seems like a total douche. Hopefully UB can wipe the floor with Arizona State.

Baker and OBJ on a magic carpet ride...

I thought that Baker looked a lot like the real one too -
I don’t think he is even in the conversation for the Bills at 9, thankfully. However, here is why I don’t think he should be in any conversation for any first round team. I’ve seen comparisons to Mark Ingram who is a pretty decent back. With the rookie wage scale, Josh Jacobs will make a minimum of 1.9 million. Even being the last pick in the first round. Mark Ingram just signed for 5 million per season. In a perfect world, Jacobs reaches potential and becomes a Mark Ingram. Congratulations, you just paid a first rounder to save 3 million in cap space. In today’s undervalued RB market it just makes more sense to grab one later in the draft or in free agency. Unless you are a generational Saquon Barkley, your name, as a RB, belongs no where near the first round.

Eek. For a smaller back, that 40 is awful -
Trent Murphy probably not going anywhere

Need the depth, have the money, no reason to cut him. Next season might be a different story. -
People still blame Allen for that clay drop too. Like the guy wasnt just running around for his life because his offensive line is pure trash. He got it in the vicinity to make it a very catchable ball. Clay should have caught it. It honestly reminded me of Wyoming at many times last year, where Allen would take the snap and be under immediate pressure.

Ledyard: 2019 NFL Draft Edge Defender Rankings

I would think, at an absolute minimum, the cost is 9+2020 1st. I still do it. -

I can’t believe they kept something all these years that they were able to harvest DNA off of. -

This is John Gruden after all. He could love 4 QBs in the draft and not be able to decide. Naturally he has to draft them all. Luckily he has his crush, Nathan Peterman, to hold down the fort in the meantime. -

I wonder what it would cost to go from 9 to 4 if Bosa falls. -
Gettleman - idiot or genius?
PetermansRedemption replied to eball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Listened to this guy on Sirius XM today. If I was a Giants fan I would be furious. Of course he could be lying, but he has hitched his wagon right to Eli in any interview he has done. He said it’s a “crock” that Eli is overpaid and washed up. Normally I would think he’s just smokescreening. But he talked about taking Saquon last year and actually did it. The precedent seems to be he speaks his mind. Time will tell, but if I’m the owner of the Giants and Gettleman passed on a QB at 6 and 17 I fire him before he even reaches the second round of the draft. -

Jace Sternberger from Texas A & M is a guy I want if they don’t go Hock at 9.
