  1. Your choice of words is very interesting. To say the least. No one is banding together to kill old people ?‍♂️ Those people can still stay at home while the rest of the work force goes out. It doesn’t even matter what I say, no one is putting up with a 9 month lockdown and staying sane. And, actually, we do have a choice on the economics. You might be well off financially. Or even relatively well off. But that isn’t the case for the vast majority of Americans. And if someone has the choice of staying at home and making zero dollars to add to his mounting debt load or to go venture out and try to restart his personal economy, the choice is simple. Unless, of course, you think the country is going to go 100% socialist in the next few months? Have the government hand out food, waive rent, things of that nature. You might not realize it. But millions of American lives are going to be ruined if this drags on. I don’t see them putting up with it unless forced.
  2. Here is my thinking, will young people really put up with that? Will he really bring in the national guard and maintain it with military policing? Will the country as a whole really stand for millions of lives being ruined financially? And a depression that will take years to claw out of? Because, in that scenario, with that timeline, that is what happens. I don’t see people under 50 who have around a 99.8% survivability rate doing that. I’m also not sure Cuomo will order troops to maintain that stay at home order at all costs. To include ticketing (people who already have nothing at that point) or arresting (and putting people in overcrowded jails).
  3. Doc, you and I both know this thing is going to be loaded with a heck of a lot of waste and useless earmarking no matter how long they take on it.
  4. Question on 3. How can you be so sure? First round QBs bust at a pretty good clip. Before last season Burrows wasn’t even in the discussion for first overall. It isn’t like this is a Trevor Lawrence type prospect. He hit a flash in the pan year at the right time. He may or may not become something good. There is no such thing as a sure thing when it comes to QB prospects in the NFL.
  5. I’m pretty shocked that in such a time of need bipartisan bickering couldn’t stop for a mere day to get something done. The two party system in America truly needs to end. The divide between them has become far too great to have a functioning government.
  6. Looks like any hope at a quick stimulus bill is crumbling currently. Schumer and Pelosi left the meeting.
  7. Definitely a pretty fair price. Those who think it wasn’t are going off the Hopkins trade, which was just insane. If that trade never happened, a lot fewer people would be complaining about the price of acquiring Diggs.
  8. If me bowing down had a sufficient emoji, I would input it here
  9. Do you find it coincidental that WR’s statistically peak at age 26-28. And that in 2016 Emmanuel Sanders would have been 28? If you have some statistical information to back your position I would love to hear it.
  10. I’m not a huge fan of his. I feel like he is in decline. Hasn’t had a 1000 yard season since 2016. Also, not everyone is Tom Brady, Brees could very likely have a decline this year.
  11. Imagine being the person who, while the world is falling apart, has their top priority as criticizing music.
  12. They use the North Korea method of accounting for negativity
  13. If any teams starter goes down for an extended period of time they are screwed. Very few teams have backups that can win games. If they did, they wouldn’t be back ups.
  14. It’s far more often than not a poor idea to get caught up in free agent frenzy. The overbidding causes poor contracts. For every free agency signing that works out, a disproportionate amount do not.
  15. Well, sure, but Marv didn’t have Kyle Williams pedigree when he started. There is no way this guy wouldn’t have been able to get a job at a college as a DC or in the NFL as a DL coach. Wonder if he was just bored in retirement? I assume this school is within miles from his home.
  16. Is it just me or does this position seem a bit below Kyle? DC at a HS? I would think he could have, at the very least, been hired at the local community college.
  17. Not sure what company Mark80 dealt with, but it certainly wasn’t Sirius XM. I’ve been a customer for something like five years now. I’ve gone through 10 renewals in that time. Every one is as easy as the last. Probably takes me 20 minutes on the phone. They always offer me the same deal without any type of fight at all. I pay $28 for 6 months plus taxes. It comes out to around $33. That is most channels (just missing Howard stern and NFL) and streaming is included in all packages now. My last renewal I stepped up to the top tier package (includes NFL) and it ended up being $90+ taxes for an entire year. You do not have to actually cancel, ever. Just call and tell them you want to cancel and they will always ask why, it’s part of their script. As soon as you say “my promo rate is running out and it’s too expensive to keep” they will always offer you the same package. Basically, SiriusXM is the anti-Directv. Easy to deal with and always offering great discounts.
  18. This is nuts. So people build a house on land they don’t own? Theoretically, couldn’t the land holder just exponentially increase the rent every year? What is someone going to do, move their house? Well, of course you would. I would expect any of us fans to do the same. It isn’t our money. The real question is, would the business of the Buffalo Bills make that financial decision.
  19. This is, of course, assuming they wanted to overpay Ngakoue in the first place. If they were not going to be free agent bidders then the tag does nothing to change their position. For all intents and purposes this would be equivalent to paying Ngakoue something like 40 million this season, isn’t it? If you include the Foles contract into the equation. If that’s the case wouldn’t Clowney at even 25 million be just as good, if not better?
  20. I agree. The tag should be gone. If they really want to keep the tag it should be for multiple years, fully guaranteed and at a highly inflated salary. Something like 125-150% the top 3 for the position for 3 years, fully guaranteed. This would make it an absolutely nuclear option that teams would rarely, if ever, use. It may result in the player playing somewhere he doesn’t want to be, but he’s also supremely compensated with a 100% full guaranteed multi year deal.
  21. Another long time DIRECTV subscriber here who just cancelled and went to streaming. My bill doubles and I got the “no credits available” speech. Ok, then cancel I go. They put up no fight to keep me. I loved the NFL Sunday Ticket, but I liked the red zone more. In fact, I rarely turned on an individual game rather than have the red zone on. Luckily sling tv has the red zone in their sports package... for $10 a month. A far cry cheaper than the $400 or whatever that Sunday Ticket Max is on directv. If you actually watch the games, there is an NFL Sunday ticket app for any smart TV. I have heard people will gladly split their login with you. They can be found on online marketplaces.
  22. Seconded. Not at all disappointed about losing out on Olsen. Injury prone and his best years are certainly behind him. Spend the extra coin and get a true option who is also younger.
  23. New management ran it into the ground. I’m convinced they bought it just to squeeze a few years of admission out of it and then sell the rides and land. Sad to see it go. Darien lake isn’t really great for younger kids. Expensive, farther drive for us north of the city, few kids orientated rides, and crowded.
