This exact same thing happened to me last year. It was pretty much my last straw with DTV before I “cut the cord”. They are slimy and reps will tell you the Sunday Ticket is free. Then conveniently the promotion isn’t applied.

The best was when the NFL said they don’t think it gives any competitive advantage. Ok... then explain to us why home teams win more than road teams 🙄 NFL logic.

I am sure whoever gets it will use it as DIRECTV does, to funnel subscriptions into some other service.

I agree. I’m not worried about him. But some definitely are.

Isn’t that illegal participation by Smith-Schuster? He went out of bounds and came back in to participate.

Absolutely the right thing to do. Don’t fuel the fire, no need to give the media or people on either side of the issue something to complain about.

Did someone summon me ? I’ll be watching. I watch every year. Really enjoyed the Raiders last year. Knock on wood if you’re with me. My first thought when I saw Hard Knocks premiere tonight was “I didn’t even know there had been a training camp.” I’ll definitely give it a shot, but with no preseason games and all the COVID precautions and uncertainty I’m not sure I’ll finish it.

Entirely hit or miss in my experience. There is absolutely no uniformity to DIRECTV and their promotions anymore. The ATT buyout was the worst thing that ever happened to their retention department.

I’ve had my spats with Hap, but Hap is one of the most (if not the most) informed posters on this forum. Especially when it comes to COVID issues. Rarely will Hap give an opinion unless it’s very reasonable and backed by facts. Those facts are usually even cited.

Don’t get me started on DISH. Left DIRECTV for Sling TV (owned by Dish). Then Dish enters a contract dispute with NFL so I have no NFL network and potentially no NFL Redzone. I’m now looking at FUBOTV. Has anyone ever mentioned that “unbundling” and “cutting the cord” is actually worse than what DIRECTV was?

Someone mentioned there are new rules for streaming only plans. So I immediately googled it. Was very disappointed to see what you saw, it’s the same rules it has always been. If you can’t get a signal you can sign up for streaming only plan.

They were definitely on my radar as well. I wouldn’t do either of them for late 1sts for sure.

Definitely less excited than normal. Just feels different this year, and it will be. I’ll also watch religiously as usual.

I don’t think there’s a player on this team other than Allen that I don’t think long and hard about trading for 2 1sts and a 3rd

One thing I never understood is why these guys have social media at all? Then they engage fans in addition to that? I just don’t see a point.
