  1. I think Doug Pederson is a horrendous coach. They should have kept Reich.
  2. The Jets are the worst football team I’ve ever seen
  3. Seattle over the Jets or Tennessee over Jacksonville today? I’m heavily leaning Tenn over Jacksonville due to future value. I don’t see myself loving picking the Titans in the coming weeks. I can see myself taking Seattle.
  4. I also liked that proposal very much. They could tie it into the stimulus bill they already plan on working on. I thought it was a very clever idea when I saw it. You’d get 90+% compliance nearly overnight.
  5. Heading in the right direction then at least. I also wonder how many people will actually make a doctors appointment and go in for these two shots. It’s one thing to say you will, but people are also inherently lazy and, as we have seen, quite selfish.
  6. I’d say the bigger hold up is that the bulk of the population doesn’t seem to want it, more so than vaccine availability. Latest poll numbers I’ve seen show a 50/50 split and that number has done nothing but drop over the months of this pandemic. I’m not sure how much a public education campaign can help, but that’s where the feds and local DOH are certainly going to need to start.
  7. This seems like comparing apples and oranges to me. Eliminating all student debt right now hurts far more people than it helps. It isn’t like social security where there is a benefit now and in the future. A true comparison would be if the social security system gave money only to retirees retiring during that year it was enacted. That’s why student loan forgiveness is fine, but it has to accompany something that will actually fix the overall problem. Even if it were eliminate all student loan debt and make college free for everyone, that fixes the problem. Especially since the government could then control costs as the single payer. Not saying that’s the way it should go, but simply eliminating all student loan debt does absolutely nothing to abate the problem long term.
  8. I’ve been saying for years I think it would be the biggest stimulus in history. Putting aside the morality of it, it would cause a massive spending boon and a humongous influx of suddenly disposable income.
  9. No, that wouldn’t be part of loan forgiveness. As far as I know, the government can’t make private companies forego their loans. Only federally held student loans would be forgiven under any likely congressional plan. This is precisely why, IMO, student loan forgiveness isn’t the “miracle pill” that it’s made out to be. It’s more of a bandaid solution than a true solution. If it accompanies far reaching changes in the education system then it would be far more logical. But you will just be in this same situation in another 30 years, likely a worse situation. All this will do is ensure the cost of college continues to rise at an exorbitant rate.
  10. These disputes anger me to no end. Million dollar companies arguing with million dollar companies. I’m waiting for the streaming service who advertises “no channel disputes, ever”. Directv always seems to have issues. I know they have lost channel 4 a few times.
  11. They would have to adapt, but they would be fine. They have many loans they are currently servicing. Each of those are paying them a decent bit of interest. Plus, it seems they have at least somewhat saw the writing in the wall. They have constantly been diversifying away from student loans.
  12. IMO this all hinges on wether the Democrats can take the Senate or not. If they can, it’s at least possible. If the Republicans can maintain the Senate majority any cancelling of student loan debt is dead on arrival. Next month will be huge.
  13. Just not an impressive QB. How terrible is that QB draft looking now. 1&2 Wentz and Goff. Ooooff
  14. I’ve been saying since the start of the year, I don’t think Cam ends it as the starter. I agree, I’d start Stidham next week if I’m Bill. Stidham is one year removed from being a 4th rounder.
  15. The NFL really needs to change that BS neutral zone infraction. If the offensive lineman is on a 5 second delay, and simply lifts his hand up and points, it isn’t a true “reaction”
  16. Absolutely, I said this once he announced he was leaving school. Guy could have easily been drafted if he returned to UB for a final year and performed. He had far more to lose by declaring for the NFL draft than staying in school. If he stayed in school and got injured he would have been an UDFA, which is what happened anyways. If he ended up playing well he easily would have been drafted, possibly as high as the 3rd round IMO. Definitely a different scenario for a potential 1st rounder (high first rounder in Josh’s case). If Tyree were being discussed as a first rounder he absolutely should have declared. In his case he had far more to gain by returning to school.
  17. Good bye, guy was horrendous in the Arizona game. No point in having depth when the depth plays as a turnstile.
  18. The only team in the NFL that scares me are the Chiefs. It’s too bad they aren’t an NFC team. Oh well, the AFC championship will decide the Superbowl Winner IMO.
  19. Every single time I watch Lamar live I come away extremely underwhelmed. Misses simple throws with regularity. Just doesn’t do many QB things well.
  20. Just looked at the Ravens upcoming schedule. Could they have asked for anything better? Their final 3 games are Jaguars, Giants, Bengals
  21. Hollywood Brown looks like a little kid on the football field
