So correct me if I am wrong. But narrative around the Bills vs Ravens sounds like this. How can the Bills contain Lamar Jackson? How can the Bills do anything against this amazing awesome one of a kind man to man blitzing ravens defense? It seems it is assumed the Bills will fail majority of the time doing the above while the Ravens will succeed at everything they do. Edit: They keep saying Ravens are hottest team cause they won 6 in a row. - Weird, Bills have won 7 in a row. They keep assuming that since Lamar won a playoff game that he will now have that off his back will just roll through the playoffs. Because the RAVENS are the hottest team and no one wants to play them......

Question for you all. Do you all feel more at ease heading into this game? Not so much that we will win. More so that the Bills have gotten four or more monkey's off their back this year and regardless if we win or lose at this point, I believe most fans will think it has been a successful year to build off of. 1. Josh Allen Pick has panned out and in his 3rd year, has become a legit top 5 QB for the foreseeable future. 2. Won the Division for the first time in 25 years. 3. Swept the Patriots, Dolphins, and Jets for the first time. 4. Won a playoff game in 25 years. I mean this year has been amazing being a Bills fan and going into this weekend, i am considering this year a success because we all know winning in the playoffs is difficult, more so than the regular season. I hope we win, but if we don't I am at peace with that as well.

haha yep, the gameday threads are like the most extreme reactions. Like a bunch of emotional teenage girls on their time of the month getting dumped by their 1 week boyfriend or the other side, being told "i love you" by said 1 week boyfriend. I try to only go intogameday threads if i am streaming the game to get quicker updates. Other than that I do my best to not click on the thread.

yeah - I am a bit surprised many talking heads are acting like the ravens scored 35 points against a weak Tennessee defense and are going to go into Buffalo and dominate the bills offense and defense. Ravens scored 20 against a worse defense than the Bills. Lamar had two nice runs, one for a score, and the other to seal the game and run the clock out. They did enough to win. The Bills on the other hand was in control of the game score wise in the 4th and almost did enough to lose. I honestly think the Bills came away from the game happy but disappointed in themselves for how the game was. They expected better. The Ravens came out of their game like they played this amazing game which yeah it was a good defensive/running/stopping the run game but it was far from mistake free. I don't know. Feel the credit given to the Ravens is a bit misleading. Not saying they can't beat the Bills because we know they can. Just not sure the talking heads are looking at the mentality of the Bills coming away from their first playoff win in 25 years and being disappointed in their play vs the ravens coming away like they are the top team in the NFL.

On that play, the ball was actually fumbled out of bounds. The player did not get out of bounds before being hit and the ball coming out. Which then the clock doesn't stop if it is a fumble out of bounds I believe.

haha I told my wife she jinxed the Bills when she looked at the score with 8 minutes left and said "Oh they won" and then colts drive down and score a TD right after lol. My poor wife would have been my enemy if the Bills lost

Wild Card Game 1/9/21 2nd Half Gameday Thread

My heart........... -
lol I feel most are just trying to name someone already not listed in the topic love ya all - looking forward to tomorrow.

Who is your X factor tomorrow with all players playing to expectations of this year? Mine is Tremaine Edmunds. Who has been up and down in terms of intensity from a fans view point. If he comes out and is flying all over and smacking people in the face (aka Jonathan Taylor) then I think it will be that edge that helps us get our first playoff game in 25 years.

Round 1 Playoff: Colts at Bills - Sat. 1/9 1:05pm
CaliBills replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Gabe Davis doing round house kicks lol. That video of them warming up, looks like a bunch of 4 yr olds at soccer practice. Got Diggs doing basketball moves, Gabe Davis doing round houses to Josh, Josh then doing basketball moves. Jerry Hughes doing some sort of russian or something movement with his legs. Love seeing them loose and having fun. -
Does the bills success continue without daboll?
CaliBills replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agreed. I think Josh is not some joe schmoe that doesn't understand x's and o's. McDermott would hire either in house or someone that will keep the same offensive schemes while keeping a playbook similar to what they run now and evolve it and add wrinkles to enhance the strengths of the team. IE, the bills get a stud running back. They could incorporate different looks via i formation, or more Josh under center etc. Josh is the steady variable in this equation, and now with his knowledge of defenses (both man and zone) he can have valid input in the schemes etc. -
Doesn't it feel great!! My boss, 74 yr old life time Steeler fan, texted me during the Bills vs Pats Monday night game and said " Josh Allen is the best QB in the NFL right now" and for someone to have watched football for as long as he has and has seen HOF QB's, even on the steelers, I felt like yeah, we have that guy now that if he keeps playing close or above this level, will make him wanted/hated by so many other teams. I love it and has me excited for the future.

Thank you Kindly!!! That is exactly what I was looking for.

Oh I watched all those games. Just wanted to see if anyone had season stats on Josh for man vs zone. Would love to see the numbers break down.

I have searched the world wide web (even the dark web lol don't go there, jk i didn't, i am at work and would get in trouble) for stats on Josh Allen that shows stats against man vs zone. Anyone have access to a cool site that shows the breakdown? Would be amazing to see. Thanks in advance

The Noise, as the team calls it, won't factor in my opinion. One thing McDermott does a great job at is keeping the mentality of the team steady. Not to high, not to low. There is a purpose and focus with this team, lead by McDermott and you see it in Josh and it trickles down. One thing I believe he is doing is preparing the team to look at this like "hey, we are no longer the underdogs, expectations are that we are good, now lets find a way to use that expectation to create that higher level of standard". Overconfidence or overlooking is not what I'm concerned about with this Bills team. We also know when "S***" hits the fan, we have the player and coaching mentality of like, ok, that sucked, we have been through this before. Let's just do our thing and good things will come because we know we are a good team. As Josh said in his post game speech after the Fins game. "Let's execute and do what the "F***" we want". They are dialed in.

It shouldn't pain you. The dude is the GOAT and him going to the Bucs and having this type of season just proves it while the Patriots sulk at home after having their first losing season in forever. We have witnessed probably the best QB of all time, two times a year, for 20 years. Be happy for him, be happy he proved he was the reason the patriots succeeded lol
