  1. No... he found a place and then bailed after the realtor announced all the info on line.
  2. I am a Buffalo fan. THis is just another terrible tease meant to get me excited only to deflate me in the end when nothing comes of it. I feel like Charlie Brown. I want there to be ONE TIME that Lucy doesn't pull away the football.
  3. I think he just stopped taking your calls.... I still call in rather regularly When you hear "Tim walking the dog in Amherst" you know you're listening to me! By the way, Brad's show is 14% better at 4pm than it was at 6pm.
  4. I vote for "Bank Job" Barenaked Ladies are Me as my favorite. Not popular, but a GREAT song. Their Barenaked for the Holidays disc is excellent as well. SnowMan is my favorite on it. It literally chokes me up each time I hear it. As for other good songs being few and far between. I guess that's true if you only count radio hits, but I could list MANY really good songs....just off the top of my head. Bull in a China Shop Jane Its all Been Done Blame it on Me and again from the Holiday disc Green Christmas and Elf's Lament

  6. I'm really perplexed by the whole GPS phenomenon... Do people really need GPS guidance to get to work and the mall? I'm sure for those that travel it is helpful. but most people I see with them running are doing routine errands. Is it so easy to get lost on the way home from Wegmans?
  7. Lynch has been no better than any other, average, run of the mill running back in the league. He averages a mere 70 yards a game and has scored only 3 touchdowns over the past 11 games. If he's a pro bowl back, then the standards have shrunk to all time lows. The others who made it are difference makers on their teams.... Lynch has not made a difference.
  8. Exactly, we've been overtaxed all along, and now when they can't afford it they keep the money PLUS take more. Its nothing but a shell game.
  9. The thing is, it was already YOUR money. Why give a rebate check when they could have lowered the tax rate?
  10. Star Rebates were stupid anyway. Don't tax me just to send me some of the money back later. Now they can keep taxing me the same and just not send me the $250 dollar check. Its all a shell game that makes people who like getting shinny buttons as gifts happy.
  11. I was just thinking this while walking the dog last night. When did a giant, inflatable penguin wearing a ski hat become a symbol of Christmas?
  12. What's most pathetic is I can't figure out whether he is saying the coach made a bonehead call, or its not the coaches fault, but rather JP's and therefore the coach is not to blame.
  13. Yeah, me too, most items 20% off, but you can no longer use the 20% off coupons they used to make available
  14. What kills me about those is you pay a fee for them... say $33 for a $30 gift card, and THEN the CC company charges the merchant a fee when they except the card as payment. The credit card companies simply print their own money.
  15. As you know if you buy a gift card and the store closes down, you are basically screwed. I received this list of stores that are closing down or closing many locations, but are STILL selling gift card to unsuspecting consumers. Be careful if you are a gift card buyer.. Circuit City (filed Chapter 11) Ann Taylor 117 stores nationwide closing Lane Bryant, Fashion Bug ,and Catherine's to close 150 stores nationwide Eddie Bauer to close stores 27 stores and more after January Cache will close all stores Talbots closing down specialty stores J. Jill closing all stores (owned by Talbots) Pacific Sunwear (also owned by Talbots) GAP closing 85 stores Footlocker closing 140 stores more to close after January Wickes Furniture closing down Levitz closing down remaining stores Bombay closing remaining stores Zales closing down 82 stores and 105 after January Whitehall closing all stores Piercing Pagoda closing all stores Disney closing 98 stores and will close more after January. Home Depot closing 15 stores 1 in NJ ( New Brunswick ) Macys to close 9 stores after January Linens and Things closing all stores Movie Galley Closing all stores Pep Boys Closing 33 stores Sprint/Nextel closing 133 stores JC Penney closing a number of stores after January Ethan Allen closing down 12 stores. Wilson Leather closing down all stores Sharper Image closing down all stores K B Toys closing 356 stores Loews to close down some stores Dillard's to close some stores Yvonne Pulido
  16. Howard Simon just read a statement on the air from the Bills that basically blamed the fans for trying to get in late.
  17. Your most direct approach is to tell the credit agencies NOT to make your info available. It beats calling each company sending you info. By the way Rock.... Long time no see!!
  18. I don;t want to speak for Plenzmd1, but I think in his post he cleared up that his credit score had not been reduced, but that his line of credit was dropped because the bank was getting out of the business. Companies "viewing" your credit info for marketing sake will not affect your score, only credit checks made during applications for additional credit.
  19. Unless you opt out, the credit card companies provide your credit information to anyone who wants to use it for marketing to you. They do not need to run a credit check, merely have access to your credit score.
  20. Instead of just calling and having your name removed from the marketing list? Were you looking for a real answer or just looking to blow off steam?
  21. We contacted the major credit reporting agencies (Its just a phone call) and asked them to stop making our credit information available for marketing purposes. It is your right to do this and it has basically ELIMINATED junk mail to our house. Sure we still get catalogs and such, but we buy from those companies. We have not received a credit app in the mail in almost 3 years.
  22. Brady who.... Boy I have to say with the way Cassell is playing, Brady is at risk of losing a bit of his luster as people may begin claiming he is a product of the "system". I would never have believed this, but seeing Cassell this past few weeks I have to wonder
