I agree with the other callers... Donte is a good football player that I would like to have on my team at good football player money. He is passionate about the team and the area and that passion (as we as a slight lack of number 8 pick talent) is what got him in trouble. He may come back more humble and perhaps with an even bigger fire in his belly.

I have to say, that as a Buffalonian and a livelong Buffalo Sports fan, I have every confidence that after an incredible training camp and pre-season, Mr. Merriman will be run over by a bus before the first game of the season, then get a staph infection, then the flu and then will be hit by a meteor.

This I completely agree with! I would love more national and even local guests. They have them, but odds are most folks don't listen to a full 4 hour radio show. They hear 15-30 minutes. The rest of the show could have been great guests, deep football analysis and on the field reporting, but if you happen to tune in AFTER all of that and catch the hosts getting annoyed with someone calling in to say that should have kept Trent, your attitude of the show is skewed.

I agree with BBB 100%!!! I don't work there, I know no one who does, but I DO NOT WANT to hear idiots calling in all day to give their opinion of what defense we should run.... ESPECIALLY IN AUGUST! Their job it to keep people tuned in and if they talk sports half the time and other stuff half the time I'll listen for both. I will turn off the radio after 10 minutes if I hear 5 people call in all offering their stupid opinions about some defensive scheme. I want to be entertained. If I want to hear stupid opinions all day, I'll stay here at TBD

I have to agree. I have a bit of an insider's knowledge of the local banking industry... at least 100 of these branches will be closed. I see a lot of local backlash on the horizon for First Niagara when they are the ones closing these branches and killing 100s of jobs. Be clear, whoever bought them would have had to do the same thing, but First Niagara is going to be the heavy here.

Truth be told the "first day of training camp" involved stretching and no other news. There was NOTHING new to talk about at that point that hadn't been said for the past 3 days. Starting today, there is a two hour show each evening devoted to training camp.... since there is now actually practice going on.

If I recall, based on the new CBA, all round one contracts are 4 years with a team option for a fifth year. The fifth year salary for a number 3 pick is the average of the top 5 (or 10) contracts at that players position. Given that is about 8 mill or so (my guess) this has the chance to be 5 years at about 28 million guaranteed. Great money, but still less than last year would have gotten Dareus.

You seem to be implying that the Bills should not sign ANYONE except OL and DL... wait didn't we DRAFT number three and add D-Line help? Aren't the Bills (at least based on reports) trying to sign Clabo? Do you suggest they sign no one else as a punishment if they CAN'T sign a premier tackle? Free agency is about making the team better. If Smith is better than someone on the roster (perhaps Roscoe) then bye bye to that player.
