I think whatever it is it started pretty recently. I thought he was good years ago but something's definitely going on now. It could be as simple as losing mobility/elusiveness since that was such a huge part of his game when he was good. When that ridiculous cringe Subway video that he did recently was trending last week I was immediately struck by how big his head looked. It looked significantly larger like he'd put on some weight.

For one thing his running game and elusiveness has all but disappeared. He's averaging less than 4ypc this year after less than 5 last year. Plus he's short and weird.

I still can't believe all of the glowing takes about Denver this offseason. Not here necessarily, but a lot of media people loved them, some ranking them potentially third in the AFC. Hilarious. Russ is just not very good anymore and I thought this was becoming apparent last year.

I haven't watched a ton of Steelers this year. Is Mitch to blame for Najee Harris's 3.5 ypc? Folks thought he would be running with Taylor and Henry as a top back in the league this year. Chase Claypool also continues to be a gigantic disappointment.
